Anthony lies still for 10 minutes, then gets up, and tiptoes to his den. The computer is in sleep mode, but it awakens at his touch, just for him. He bites his lip as the screen bathes his hard but aging body in sallow light. A salty prick of blood flows from the lip. It's going to be a good night after all.

That's bad, Professor. That's really bad.
Weiner will n-e-v-e-r go away.
He's trying to sell his seat before its eliminated by redistricting.
Dems have no shame.
Try the veal folks, she's here all week.
Puntastic.
Its a limp effort
He'd better not run (for office) with that thing, he'll put somebody's eye out.
Not only that, but I suspect that the voters will elect him, again.
From the NY Post: "Weiner horning in..."
Oog.
"Weiner will n-e-v-e-r go away."
I believe the term is priapism.
"In the event of a Weiner story that persists longer than 4 weeks, the reader should seek immediate medical assistance."
Mencken defined democracy as the worship of jackals by jackasses...it is too relevant.
It would be sweet justice if someone like Scott Brown could swoop in and free the district from corrupt democrat slavery.
You don't have to smell his breath to know where his head is inserted.

He's just trying to set something straight, but having a hard time. You could see this coming, couldn't you? Get the picture?
Let him. I've got the campaign flyers.

"Get the picture?" does not extend the joke, DADvocate.
Yes, I'm a tough critic. Would you have it any other way?
Nice channelling of the NY Post there Ann!
Weiner "would be loath to see a Republican get into that seat. Loath," another insider said.
"That would just be awful to him. Awful, awful, awful."
I see Tony has his priorities straight. I bet his wife has something other than that on the top of her "awful" list.
Isn't that a felony?
Sticking in a weiner where it isn't wanted?
Isn't it the truth, though?
You can't just decide to run for an office just because you live in the neighborhood.
I don't blame weiner, though.
I blame people who allow themselves to be herded like sheep.
Tammany Hall's structure has outlasted the living. It gets passed, family to family, among the dead.
I'm not even sure Weiner's resigned. He said he "sent a letter." But he may have put on less postage than it needed. So, it's bounced back to his mailbox for more postage due?
Do whores ever get chased out of whore houses?
What does it mean, when Weiner says "he knows the neighborhood? Anyone collecting garbage in the neighborhood knows is about as well? Would a garbage man have a shot at switching jobs?
Is Huma really pregnant?
Is Bill Clinton advising Weiner just to show up? (Woody Allen once said that about jobs. 80% of it just meant you got out of bed, and went to work.)
So, Weiner gets out of bed ...
The NY Post is desperate for more Weiner story! They don't run any other headlines.
The paper suggests that Weiner thinks he's a "king maker". Actually he's just a schmuck.
"It would be sweet justice if someone like Scott Brown could swoop in and free the district from corrupt democrat slavery."
I take it you don't live in Massachusetts, April, because that's comedy gold. Despite the Boston Globe portraying him as Reinhard Heydrich's long-lost brother, Brown's tongue is permanently stained from all the ass-kissing he's been giving the democrat scum in this state since his election.
Would you have it any other way?
I don't want it any way. If you're talking about treets from the twit - Weiner.
Eighty percent of success is showing up.
--Woody Allen
That's the quote, Carol Herman, not the mishmash you came up with.
But is it true? No. There's a hell of a lot more to success than showing up or success would be the norm.
To understand Mr Weiner, one must first understand Brooklyn. For only in Brooklyn will you readily find the singular, societal segments from which Weiner emanated, namely; the pushy, the offensive, the obnoxious - the very hallmarks of Mr Weiner's particularly concentrated segment.
Once you understand Brooklyn, you will understand why a Weiner will never go away. And that at every politically and/or socially inopportune moment, he will be pushy, offensive, and obnoxious.

They've already said they would.
