"Let's play dress up. Let's pretend... these are special people..."

"... That's what the royal family is. It's a huge game of pretend."

Jerry Seinfeld, asked about Kate and William's wedding, embedded chez Crack Emcee, whose blog Blogger has flagged as offensive, which means you now have to consent to be exposed to Crack (unless he comes over here, as he is wont to do, and exposes himself.)

Nice, pick on the black guy on a Sunday Morning.

What is this? Meet the Press?

Unknown म्हणाले...

Crack isn't offensive (even if he were, Blogger lets lots of offensive people in here), just weird.

Very weird sometimes, but that's his charm.

Or something.

LOL.

(that's how it's supposed to be used, btw. not as a meaningless interjection)

"Nice, pick on the black guy on a Sunday Morning."

If Crack was awake, he'd probably say you're being cultist.

Synova म्हणाले...

Haha, he also doesn't care for facebook and twitter. (And I'm going to figure he'd include blogs as well.)

And he has a good point.

And yes, the royal family is theater, as most celebrities are theater, and government is theater.

People ought to understand that.

I think that Athouse understands that Madison protests are theater, which is probably why she can stand to go and watch. It would make me too crazy. I couldn't do it.

Synova म्हणाले...

"He" being Jerry Seinfeld.

Skyler म्हणाले...

Seinfeld remains ever more in my esteem. Would that more people would mock those inbreds.

MadisonMan म्हणाले...

I retain enormous respect for the Queen for what she and her family did during WWII -- including waving to my Dad as he drove by back in London during the war (Dad waved first). QEII is on my list of people I'd like to eat dinner with.

The rest of her family? Meh.

Trooper York म्हणाले...

Hey Crack and I already have a deal. When I am on Oprah I will mention him to see if I can get him
on to talk about "New Age."

Now that would be "must see TV."

Helen म्हणाले...

Seinfeld has a nerve. That's what Hollywood is all about. Let's pretend. Amazing stuff coming from a guy who did a years-long show about nothing.

ricpic म्हणाले...

No pretend for Jerry anymore; deadly earnest enslavement to the pair of tits he couldn't live without. One wrong move, Jer, and half your worth is gone. And don't you know it.

BOO! [All the kids scatter]

That's right - I'm over here now and just waaaavin' it around! Justa waaaavin' it around!

LOL! You got me again, Troop! And thanks, Ann:

I've gone from almost 4,000 visitors a day to 700 yesterday. Fucking brutal.

Trooper York म्हणाले...

I am serious Crack. Oprah and Rosie both.

We can both go on and scare the kiddies.

I love Crack - I was surprised at having to click a consent page to get to MachoResponse. What does it take to get labled offensive on the Internet? This is what Blogger says "Some readers of this blog have contacted Google because they believe this blog's content is objectionable. In general, Google does not review nor do we endorse the content of this or any blog"

I suspect some kind of conspiracy in play - "payback" for being black & not on the liberal plantation? For posting comments at Althouse? Pissing off New Agers?

Ann Althouse म्हणाले...

"In general, Google does not review nor do we endorse the content of this or any blog..."

There's a policy, but Google won't tell you what it is. That's what "in general" means. Some lawyers must have written that. The wall isn't automatic, for sure, or you'd see it a lot more.

Ann Althouse म्हणाले...

@Crack You should try to get them to review it. But I think you do have enough shocking photos that you can't attribute it purely to a reader's malice. That can't be Google's policy.

Typical leftist attack on those who escape from democrap plantation and run for freedon..
Here is another exposure of left wing racism.

I thought we had gone past the day when people were afraid strong black men. But liberals are so backward.

Trooper York म्हणाले...

It really sucks that Google put up a wall to the Crack Emcees website. I encourage all of the Althouse crew to check it out anyway. He has a lot of interesting things to say.

Trooper York म्हणाले...

This way when you repeat one of his points in water color conversations and someone asks you how you found that out you can say:

"I got it from a black man."

You know that's what is says on Barack Obama's birth certificate? Just sayn'

I swear, reading you is so good I need a cigarette afterwards. I've got tears in my eyes and can't stop laughing. The very idea of you saying something to make me laugh makes me laugh. Writing that made me laugh.

Dude, you crack me up!

The Crack Emcee म्हणाले...

Ann Althouse,

You should try to get them to review it. But I think you do have enough shocking photos that you can't attribute it purely to a reader's malice. That can't be Google's policy.

I wrote in but haven't heard anything. I know, I'm only going on the timing, but I do think it's the heckler I got that did it. I've had hardcore Christians look at the site and ask me to change it but, when I told them I can't, they just said O.K. and either accepted my art policy or went away.

LIBERALS ALWAYS SEEK REVENGE.

As you know, my blog is a lot of things at once - personal, art, political, anti-cult-and-NewAge, music criticism and promotion - all kind of smushed together because it's just me and I don't have the time or money to get it right. But, if there's one thing it's not, it's not pornographic. If I have a porno shot, it's either to make a point or it's got artistic merit. Others may not understand it (and, because of that, doubt it) but I have NO interest in titillation on the blog except as a joke "hook" ("Instaporndit!") or a comment on a real facet of life, but even then it's rare.

My point is, hitting me for objectionable material is like complaining about the museum on it's free day. You either like the show or you don't, and if you don't, then you leave - you don't try and get the place shut down. All they've done is disrupt my traffic - no kids are being protected or anything - so what's the point? And to do it without even inquiring - when I know I've been harassed - that just screams of the usual political correctness I've seen, and been the victim of, waaay too often.

Anyway, thanks for the link (1,097 visitors as we speak) and I'll keep you posted if anything happens.

The Crack Emcee म्हणाले...

Take that back:

711 visitors, 1097 page views.

Sigh. Back to square one.

Well, at least this time it'll be truly honest. Behind a firewall, they can't say they don't want to be there.

Luther म्हणाले...

712.

Ralph L म्हणाले...

Crack, you might as well get some porn ads if you have to have the consent page.

Re: royals. As Steve Martin said of ol' King Tut, "Gave his life for tourism."

Trooper York म्हणाले...

Boy am I a fuckin douchenozzle or what.

Where do you have water color conversations?

At Monet's house?

I gotz to go slower when I type this shit in.
