Have they had a problem with "individual commissioners going rogue"? Or are they just typical politicians looking for things to worry about so they can pass new rules? (Because we all know the only thing standing between us and nirvana is the right mix of rules.)

"You got extra security for free and you're complaining about it?" said Ardis Cerny of Pewaukee.

The two Democrats are complaining because more ballot security makes it harder for Democrats to cheat.

"Have they had a problem with "individual commissioners going rogue"? "

Yeah. Read the article. There are 2 Democrats and one Republican on the Commission. How is the Republican supposed to protect the interests of Republicans if he is always outvoted and he cannot communicate with outsiders on his own?!

Have the election results been certified yet?

Explain to me again why an election commission should consist of appointed party officials?

Seems like a dumb way to ensure election integrity.

@chickelet,

Milwaukee is waiting until the last possible second to release their canvassing numbers. The election cant be certified until that occurs.

The Milwaukee numbers just came in. Prosser picked up 11 votes. The final vote difference is 7,316.

but the Demos seem to deserve it more.

Another of Milwaukee's bright moments including this recent disclosure from CNN's News Blog:

"Frey has used statistics about metropolitan areas to calculate the most segregated areas in the country. In terms of white and black, the most segregated areas were around Milwaukee, New York, Chicago, Detroit and Cleveland."

Ah, the racism in those five hotbeds of conservatism. Oh. Wait. LOL

Prof., I did read the article. Your illustration from is not an example of a commissioner going rogue unless any action by a minority commissioner is an example of a commissioner going rogue. Which, of course, it isn't.

A 7,316 post-canvassing vote difference certainly sounds like a victory to me!

Kloppenburg seems to be having a whole lot of difficulty justifying any call for a recount at this point, as reflected in this clip!

Jason (the commenter) म्हणाले...

Robert Spindell, the lone Republican on the three-member panel, angrily accused majority Democrats of trying to muzzle him, while the two Democratic commissioners insisted they were trying to prevent chaos from individual commissioners "going rogue."

Since "Going Rogue" is the title of Palins book, they obviously meant yes, they were trying to muzzle him.

Let me get this straight...

"Democracy" when I am in the majority, and "Democratic Republic" when I am in the minority.

Got it! ;)
