At the "GOP Sucks" Café...
... you can sneer or close your eyes and laugh and laugh but you know "I dream [of] a world where I have all the money and I need to retire, and the public unions have to hold a bake sale in order to be a pain in our butts."
ADDED: This photo shows a part of the crowd that had both pro- and anti-Walker protesters. Unless the person is holding a sign, don't assume you know which side they're on.

You're being watched, and he's wearing camo. All the others are just decoys. Duck!
At least today she is thinking about us. Some day she will join us.

Lately I've noticed comments disappearing without a trace from Althouse on Blogger.
I just wrote a comment on the Lithwick Bloggingheads post and, minutes later, it was gone (and no "deleted by author" entry).
I know the comment actually posted, as I viewed it afterward in the full page view. Now I'm certain it's happened before.
Did I post to the wrong thread or was it something else? (I did have some indication that my Blogger account has been hacked in the past, but I don't think my comments are a hacker's priority.)
Curious, did Althouse got an email notification of the comment? (It was the comment about Alito, the civility issue, the IIED claim and the George Harrison wv YouTube link, all in one.)
I dream a world too. Where the GOP doesn't suck.
The dude is thinking - "The things I gotta do to bang this broad. Standing in the f'n cold on a Saturday morning, looking concerned"
What is her poster HEARTing? I can't see what she HEARTs!! All that effort to get out and be seen, and at the decisive moment to broadcast her message to the world-- fingers get in the way . . .

Her sign say "PS I 'heart'..." [her hand hides what she loves].
However, if we uncovered her sign, I don't think the PS phrase would end "...the geek standing next to me trying to get laid."
I voted for Scott Walker while I was here in my brief tenure in Wisconsin.
I will be leaving shortly and I believe my vote has left Wisconsin in good hands.
I would also be interested in seeing his hog.
I just hope he doesn't say anything about the gays. No gay stuff ok?
And what's with this sign in that crowd?

Decision day for the Kloppenpoodle tomorrow.
I dream [of] a world where I have all the money and I need to retire, and the public unions have to hold a bake sale in order to be a pain in our butts.
Hmmm--perhaps it's not a mixed metaphor--did you know that pain means "loaf" in French?
@EDH: That's a sure sign that blogger is targeting you for elimination soon. Have you been leaving nasty content on Althouse which Big Google would find offensive?
Seriously, that has happened to me too. Send Althouse an email and she can fish your comments out of her spam trap.
wv: "Arodson" Dennis Rodman has a son?
@EDH Sorry, I'd forgotten to check the spam filter for a few days. Thanks for reminding me.
I dream a world too. Where the GOP doesn't suck.
The Republicans I know share that dream.
Like it or not, the birther issue is really resonating, thanks mainly to Donald Trump. Now even Chris Mathews can't laugh it off. And the more he says "crazy", the more people jump on the Kenyan bandwagon. It's reached the point where Obama's a shoe-in for one term, that is, assuming the GOP does a little better than a brain-dead, back slapper like John McCain.
Meanwhile, it's fun watching The Donald deal with all the media pipsqueaks rushing out of the woodwork for their illfated closeups.
That hairstyle Loverboy has only truly works with David Beckham.
(Although "Henry Rearden" used it to good effect in Atlas Shrugged: P1)
William might be attracted to the ginger girl at the back, despite her stubbed-toe expression.
I was mugged at the corner of Yahoo and Google.
Althouse my time here has been great. I was blessed to be able to spend time with my aging parents.
And our time together has been wonderful.
Thank you so much.
But the ocean calls..so does my husband.
Bless you and bless this blog.
Godspeed, Titusville.

Others may find her apparent lack of teeth appealing though she might be one of those gum'it workers.
Last time I checked, India had Internet..
Ok I lied, I never checked.
I was just trying to be dramatic Lem. Thanks for raining on my parade.
Oh, Victoria. Maybe you are interested. I have some video of a guy trying to disrupt our tea party rally here in NJ.
I don't have a YouTube account nor am I interested in starting one.
Let me know if you want to see it and maybe posted to your site or whatever.
ok.
General MacTitus..
"I shall return".
Nothing says douchebaggery like the smuggness of a leftard.
The problem is not that Republicans suck, but that Democrats wish they could. Suck at the governmental teat, I mean. To the extent that Republicans prevent them from suckling, the Dems will continue to be a bit cranky. I suggest free pacifiers for all of them.
Birthers....Obama was born in Hawaii. There is no doubte about that. I guess the only question is if there is something else about his birth certificate, such as a different dude listed as his father. It's not like his mother and his biological father had a super close relationship.
But for the record, I think the birthers only give ammo to the left. Like the truthers do for the right.
I don't know about Walker's hog, but I'd say he has big balls.
Lately I've noticed comments disappearing without a trace from Althouse on Blogger.
My experience is that if you make a very controversial (from Althouse's perspective)post about certain aspects of the stupidy of Christian believers that your comment will be deleted.
Also, if a certain University of Chicago professor of philosophy and law makes a request that you link his name to his blog in order to game google's algorithm and you respond by posting a link in Althouse's comments between his name and something he would, no doubt, prefer to not be linked to, your comment will be deleted.
I can understand the latter as I'm sure Althouse would prefer that this well known law professor/philosophy professor/blogger not make her cry.

Can't you get an absentee ballot?
If this is the G.O.P. sucking, my dreams are finally coming true:
Just wait until we get good!
Keep well, Titus. And don't be a stranger, ok?
Is the converse that the Demos blow?
PS If the guy standing next to the sign-bearer had any sense, he'd find a better-looking girl.
A minor point-
The text linking to the full-sized picture mis-quotes the sign, adding an 'and' after the word 'money.'
Ann - you and Meade have done great, great work following the Walker protests.
I am convinced that Medusa-Kloppy would have won without help from the alternative media. The left threw EVERYTHING at a low-turnout election and still lost.
And Walker will only gain strength as independents see that his changes were rather modest after-all.
I still wonder, however, why the legislature didn't simply revote on the proposal. Are they that spineless?

First, I will say that a pic on a website is proof of nothing. That purported "COLB" has NEVER been submitted to any controlling authority, and those hypnotized Obama fans that supposedly "inspected" it for Toady Factcheck are certainly not any type of document experts. Further if you read the stamp at the bottom, it says "date filed", meaning this "document" has never been "accepted" by the state registrar. For any lawyer to say that this pic on a website could be entered as evidence in a court of law would mean that lawyer is incompetent.
All that being said, the "COLB" is simply a distraction, doing exactly as it is designed to do. It distracts from the real Constitutional issue, which Obama has admitted, and that makes him ineligible, no matter WHERE birth occured. He was born British due to his father's Kenyan, never US, Citizenship, which made Obama 2 British in accordence w/ the British Nationality Act of 1948. Those born w/ foreign allegiance due to lack of US Citizenship of their parents are certainly not natural born Citizens. Obama even signed off on that fact w/ all of Congress w/ Resolution 511, which declared McCain natural born because he was born in US controlled territory OF US CITIZEN PARENTS (they were lying, since PCZ was leased, not owned by the US, but that's a whole other story).
A Spam Filter!
And I thought I was going mad.
Anybody know what flags a post as spam? Is it the comment's content, a link or the account (as I said, Google once notified me that my account had "suspicious activity" in China, probably through hack of my Droid)?
(Now that I think about it, I may have mistyped my PW logging in to Blogger to post that comment. Could that have been it?)
GOOGLE SPAM FILTER, n.
An apparatus fitted over Althouse, an inhabitant of Blogger, whereby to filter the risible and vexatious from passage to the comments, yet equally succeeds in deleting the earnest.
this just in: parasite claims host is the one actually sucking. host says let's test that theory by experimenting with who can live without the other.
I still wonder, however, why the legislature didn't simply revote on the proposal.
Such a revote would give the unmistakable appearance that the intervening court/judge was/is right, and the Governor/legislature was/is wrong regarding the "offending" precedure.
So rather than rendering the judge moot by a revote, the governor/legislature is forcing Judge Sumi to make her [bogus] case in a court of law, or admit publicly to political hackery under the color of law.
"The GOP Sucks".
Wow. That's deep. My brain suffers lacerations from such rapier wit.
I don't know exactly what the spam filter notices but a short post with a link is often caught. Or any post with a link.
If your post disappears, try emailing me. If your post had a link, try redoing it without the kink.
When Barry was a pirate. - NYT
Actually - includes a picture of "Barry" (as Barack was known then) when he was about 4-years old, apparently dressed for Halloween - in Hawaii. Adorable, and poignant.
It's sovereign immunity week at the court—two important new cases in as many days.
So, as it ends up, I am the girl in that photo. One of the people next to me had said "Walker 2012!" and I was laughing at it and repeating it. I fully support Walker and was even wearing my partially visible Gadsden flag T-Shirt. Please don't confuse the multitude who were out to support Walker with the ones hurling insults simply from their facial expressions.
Upon further review, that wasn't very nice. Sorry, Abby. Comment deleted.
Was Trump alerted?
New, raw Birther meat coming from Jerome “Swift-boat” Corsi.
...from Amazon:
Product Description
Over the course of more than three years of research, Jerome Corsi assembles the evidence that Barack Obama is constitutionally ineligible for the office of the presidency. As a New York Times bestselling author, Harvard graduate, and investigative journalist, Corsi exposes in detail key issues with Obama's eligibility, including the fact the President has spent millions of dollars in legal fees to avoid providing the American people with something as simple as a long-form birth certificate. The eligibility issue has major ramifications for every American, and through Corsi's in-depth research, a clear, concise, and compelling case is made for a return to Founding Father principles and transparent, constitutional government, starting from the top down
About the Author
Jerome R. Corsi, a Harvard Ph.D., has authored many books, including No. 1 N.Y. Times best-sellers The Obama Nation and Unfit for Command. Along with serving as WND's senior staff reporter, Corsi is a senior managing director at Gilford Securities.
I think one reason the birther myth continues is the notion that it's a silver bullet. Many birthers seem to assume that if they could only prove Obama was ineligible, everything he has done would be invalid as fruit of the poisoned tree. It's hard to see how that can possibly be correct. Is there any case—surely there must be one from the western frontier days—where a Governor was alleged to have been invalidly elected and all acts signed by him invalidated? Or take an analogy to corporate law: suppose a board votes on a merger, and the margin of victory is supplied by board members whose appointments are later found invalid under section 101 of SarbOx. Does the court find the merger invalid and order a breakup?

I'm sorry I misread you and made a bad joke at your expense.
More grist for the mill:
WND - 1/27/11: “During the course of my employment,” Adams swears in the affidavit (viewable in full as part 1 (.pdf) and part 2 (.pdf)):
“Senior officers in the City and County of Honolulu Elections Division told me on multiple occasions that no Hawaii long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate existed for Senator Obama in the Hawaii Department of Health,” Adams’ affidavit reads, “and there was no record that any such document had ever been on file in the Hawaii Department of Health or any other branch or department of the Hawaii government.”
I dream a world too. Where the GOP doesn't suck.
Face it Garage, you dream of world without the GOP.
Here's Barry's Hawaiian Birth Certificate.
One of the people next to me had said "Walker 2012!" and I was laughing at it and repeating it.
Hey, Abby, thanks for paying the blog a visit, hope you can stay, despite our raucous, silly replies and/or observations (like mine).
Cheers,
Victoria
