What! We always saw you as the sure #1 when we filled out our brackets. Can we raise the issue that Volokh wasn't born in the USA and get him disqualified?

You should demand a recount. I'm pretty sure I saw some hanging chad on a couple of your posts.

And why does it take 3 months for the results to come out? Are they counting site views by hand?

I am floored by how immature law professors are. Who's most popular?

Give me a break.

Bigger than Hugh Hewitt? Imposserous. But you done it!

Irene म्हणाले...

I must have clicked over at Volokh a few times too many to check whether he'd posted any recipes from his mother's out-of-print Russian cookbook.

Sorry.

All that shit Glenn Reynolds does and he doesn't think to include a Site Meter?

TosaGuy म्हणाले...

I see that is 2010. Given your coverage about the circus in Madison I foresee a massive jump in your 2011 numbers.

ALH म्हणाले...

With all of the increased viewing that I assume has occured in Feb and March, Althouse should be #1 for the next ranking...no?

Phil 314 म्हणाले...

Shouldn't there be a ranking based on Number of pages views X fraction of posts that a "law oriented"?

Frankly, when a strictly legal post comes up my eyes glaze over and I skip over.

Phil 314 म्हणाले...

PS I visit medical blogs pretty regularly and I've yet to see one celebrate the latest sale on electronic equipment or encourage its visitors to buy something on Amazon.

Just sayin'

David म्हणाले...

So are "visitors" each a different person? Do "page views" include each unique visit by a particular reader? And do they keep stats on how long visitors stay on the page? (Long enough to read it, for example.)

Obviously, I'm confused. (Yes, finally admitting it . . . )

@ Phil 3:14

The difference between lawyers and doctors is that the lawyers have to wait for the doctors to make a mistake before they earn any serious change. Hence the need for Amazon click-thru revenue.

I am no longer surprised when Crack feigns surprise at something unsurprising.

There are many WI union protest posts that I skip over, especially the pic posts ie over-saturation, redundant minutiae.

Bob_R,

If it's morning, all you have to think is, "Crack hasn't had his coffee yet". And you're right:

The immaturity of law professors isn't surprising.

It shouldn't be so, but, considering what I've seen of law professors, it's not surprising.

And to think AA gets all that traffic without taking the advice of Shiloh, Garage, et. al. That must disappoint them.

PaulV म्हणाले...

The medical blogs get kickbacks from pushing drugs. But everybody needs the discount sales from Amazon. Good place to be prepared for the diaster of 2012.

shiloh म्हणाले...

That must disappoint them.

No, as I'm a firm believer in free enterprise ...

and 14,193,982 hits and $2 will get you a cup of coffee!

but, but, but AA has mentioned she is 100% financially secure, so not to worry.

btw, I'm damn proud to be part of that 14,193,982 lol although I only peaked in a couple times last year.

take care

bagoh20 म्हणाले...

Wow, talk about your close races!

Imagine 155,000 views a day of what we write here. I got to be more careful. Now, I'm intimidated.

I agree, the protest was counter-productive, but if you don't look at them, then you are denying them the attention they seek, the whole purpose of the protest is to be seen, and Meadhouse was just helping them as much as they could, without a word of thanks from them or you. That seems ungrateful.

shiloh म्हणाले...

That seems ungrateful.

Plus I haven't donated or bought any stuff lol.

As just mentioned in another thread, I'm here for the AA anti-Obama obsession posts as the WI union fuss really doesn't interest me.

Sorry ;)
