"If the police evacuate the building, will I leave when asked, or will I refuse respectfully?"

Affinity and Beyond!
What Woody said in Toy Story)
Man, that is one tedious read!
Weird. These people act like they are fighting "The Man", when in fact they are "The Man". It has become almost a parody of the 60s...
Are the police on their side as they say?
I've only recently watched video of the mob chanting "Shame" on what appears to be the floor of the Wis. legislature.
I work for a state legislature and can't believe this was allowed to happen...unless I didn't actually see what I thought I was seeing. Otherwise, time to restore order.
Wonder if the same tactics will work when the revenue agants come to my house to collect the taxes these people are insisting be raised?
"Recall the police are largely in support of the protest goals and want to keep the charges minimal". The protester's own guide says this.
OK, so when people are arrested, will the main stream media still paint it as the mean old Republicans using brute force to stifle democracy?

Man, I'd hate to be a student in the class of the TAs who like that memo. How could you ever again look at your TA without giggling?
Breathe consciously.
Your link seems to be broken.
Mike, the link works for me.
If you are told to leave the building, you have three choices: Leave peacefully, cooperative civil disobedience, or passive civil disobedience.
Who do they think their audience is, that they think they can get away with pretending there simply is not another option like:
refuse to leave
or
uncooperative, non-passive civil disobendience
I think this is the funniest part:
BEING WELL
One of the biggest health concerns in a situation like this is burnout. Take time to take care of yourself. Use your affinity group to support you.
• Breathe consciously. Even a few deep breaths can make a real difference in your ability to think clearly. Make a habit of breathing consciously 10-15 minutes every day.
• Rub your feet! At the end of a day at the Capitol, get the blood circulating, then elevate your feet so they’re less swollen in the morning.
• Be sure to take all medications as prescribed. See “Being Arrested” (below) for how to prepare if your meds are critical to your moment-to-moment well-being and you plan to risk arrest.

Don't tase me, bro!
The link worked for me too..
speaking of working, does the police charge overtime to guard the protest?
if so, it must be costing the tax payers a bundle.
I dunno it's a toss up. There's this;
NONVIOLENCE
Nonviolence is a philosophy, a lifestyle, and a strategy. Here we address it as a strategy to:
• Keep the public on our side
• Inform our interactions with counter-protestors
• Inform our interactions with police (who mostly support the goals of this protest)
Strategies that support our ability to practice nonviolence include:
• Connecting with others
• Planning ahead, visualizing nonviolent responses, role-playing
• Staying sober and free of alcohol/illegal drugs
• Song, prayer, meditation, compassion—remaining centered, calm, and focused on purpose

Something tells me the "organizers" know their mob.
No wonder the Capitol might need a clean-up on aisle three.
They are not leaving the capitol--- it is completely full, several hundred folks to be removed and "processed." The handout promises them all an easy arrest.
"Recall the police are largely in support of the protest goals and want to keep the charges minimal"
And they say there's something wrong with allowing public employees to unionize!
OK this is interesting-
FOX News went live w/it but the protesters covered the camera lens and last words off camera from the announcer on the ground was-
"I'm being hit."

Switch to CNN and they are covering Tunisia. Libya.
The Blue Flu - the single greatest argument against public sector unions.
When seconds count, the cops have all called in sick.
Watching the live feed.
There is a big white sign in the upper right of the screen that looks like it says
"Kill the whales"
That can't be right, can it?
John Henry
The comments alongside the stream are great too.
I mean, when people type in all caps, I get really realy REALLY! convinced about their cause.

Whales, intelligent creatures that they are, are non-union.
Elvis has just left the building ...
thank you, thank you very much
Police are such cowards. It seems like every time some ghetto gangbanger or schizophrenic or general thug violently resists arrest, it takes at least five or six cops to restrain him, and usually the cops are injured in the process. To be hired as a cop nowadays you have to pass a physical unfitness test.

Elvis has just left the building
False rumor. He's warming up to sing Heartbreak Hotel, All Shook Up, Don't be Cruel and Jailhouse Rock.
The left is really into signs. They seem to love them.
Printed matter.
It's big.
"Weird. These people act like they are fighting "The Man", when in fact they are "The Man". It has become almost a parody of the 60s..."
Uh, no...these people are working people. Governover Walker is "the Man."
Bravo to the Wisconsin public union members and all those who have rallied to their side in support. I wish them success in their fight, even as I am discouraged at their chances in the face of their belligerent douchebag governor.

Ummm anyone who works for the government is "The Man".
Kookie the commie speaks:

That ends the debate for me.
If Kookie can get worked up over these spoiled brats fleecing the taxpayers of Wisconsin... then Walker is my hero.
Kookie, I don't think even the public employee unions want your endorsement.
You're a degenerate Stalinist. (Although you will claim otherwise.)
"Ummm anyone who works for the government is 'The Man'."
Hahahahahahaha!
