Allah is a blogger? Jesus is such a slacker, I guess.
I think the word "annoying" has become much more popular in the last ten years or so. Kids use it so much it can be annoying.
Sullivan on the left and Allah on the right.
Frum is smug and annoying in that way I guess, I don't read Schlussel and Riehl is just wrong occasionally.
I don't find Yglesias annoying, just wrong, don't read Kos and don't read Johnson.
I don't know why anyone would believe anything Johnson says.
Heh, I find none of these choice annoying. I'd have to first read them to find them annoying.
I'm just a particular fan of the concept of annoyingness.
That would certainly explain your fondness for Titus.
Both Johnson and Frum are apostates -- no wonder righties hate them.
Kids use it so much it can be annoying.
All of my old English teachers who deplored the use of "aggravating" to mean annoying would now rejoice.
"Both Johnson and Frum are apostates -- no wonder righties hate them"
Don't care if they're apostates but one of them is a pathological liar (or plays one on the Internet) and the other uses such convoluted justifications for his retrograde positions that reading his work is an absolute trial.
Hey, Sullivan is a "conservative of doubt" you "Christianists."
Yglesias is pretty widely respected among conservatives, though he does have that know-it-all-kid thing going, which I suppose accounts for the ranking. Allah's great, but even his biggest fans use his name as a synonym for "wet blanket".
This post annoys me.
Kos and Andy qualify more as demented, not annoying.
Schlussel is "annoying" only if one considers constantly harping on ignored real and present dangers "annoying." (Although I don't quite understand her feud with Pam Geller--"there can be only one" conservative Jewish Diva, perhaps?)
And what edutcher said..
Allah's great, but even his biggest fans use his name as a synonym for "wet blanket".
That's so he fits in well with his partner Ed "nothing to see here, move along" Morrissey, who, when things are going right over his head, consistently is telling folks that such-and-such is no big deal.
Why Michelle puts up with either of them, I don't know.
I rarely read any of them, and so avoid being annoyed. Life is good for me. Follow my example, children, walk away from the smell, or you'll get it on you.
Better luck next year. There should be reward for most annoying former Obama supporter.

It serves as powerful testament to just how badly debased the definition has become over the past decade that either David Frum or AllahPundit could ever be referred to, straightfaced, as being in any way "conservative."
It serves as powerful testament to just how badly debased the definition has become over the past decade that ... David Frum ... could ever be referred to, straightfaced, as being in any way "conservative."
Right, Frum a conservative -- that's just crazy talk. Just look at Frum's resume; it screams bleeding heart liberal:
1. WSJ editorial page editor
2. Forbes magazine columnist
3. Manhattan Institute for Policy Research senior fellow
4. George W. Bush speechwriter
5. American Enterprise Institute fellow
6. National Review contributing editor
7. Canada's National Post columnist
Johnson started out as a leftie, became a rightie after 9/11 and by 2007 was a flaming leftie again. His site has become Kos. I fondly remember 2004-2005 when we Lizards made fun of "koslings".
Frum's a conservative but...
1) He hedges too much
2) He fancies himself leading a revolution that few are following
3) His blog seems to be primarily visited by folks left of center. (Gosh, that has to gnaw at him)
4) I hate to say it but at times he feels like a nerd who wants to be considered one of the kewl kids.
I still like him but...
On my occasional visits to Kos the word that comes to mind is
Dittoheads
And does the fact that one has to divide up "annoying blogs" into left and right and not just "annoying blogs" suggest we'll put up with annoyance if its fits our ideology.
For example I find Michelle Malkin "annoying" because she can deliver so much more but she loves snark and snide too much.
Redstate is just too much "rooting for the home team"
For some weird reason many liberals/ moderates always wish to pose as "Conservative".
Frum is a moderate-liberal who takes some conservative positions. He's supported Obama, and routinely attacks Palin, Rush, the Tea Party, and anyone to right of Rudy Gulliani. When not calling conservatives "racists", "bad for America", "xenophobes", or "c-r-a-z-y", he calls for civility.
Charles Johnson has called conservatives "Fascists", stated that he never was one and that only "Stupid people" labeled him as such.
I would have nominated "Captain Ed" as most annoying - he's a bland, mediocre moderate who poses as a conservative and says nothing of interest.

There's something very Jon Lovitz about Yglesias. Every time he's about to talk I envision him saying "Get to know me!" in a Lovitz voice.
I'm surprised some others didn't make the list:
Pam Geller - A shrill, hate filled blogger. Her definition of antisemite? Anyone who disagrees with Pam Geller.
Patterico - Another hate filled faux-conservative. Primarily interested in attacking other conservatives. Often becomes weird, obsessive, and stalker-like - see his feud with "Protein Wisdom".
Yglesias has an incredibly annoying voice (believe it or not it used to be worse). He also doesn't wear well. He seems to be very intelligent and open minded at first, but after a while you discover he's quite predictable and simply toes the liberal party line on everything.
And he isn't above smearing his opponents as racists, haters, or anti-semitites, when he can get away with it. His "reasonableness" is really a sales tactic. Which is why he left the Atlantic. It was too non-partisan for him.
"Yglesias is pretty widely respected among conservatives, though he does have that know-it-all-kid thing going"
If this is true it's pretty disapointing. He and Ezra Klein are the prototype liberals. If all you want is leftist conventional wisdom ask them their opinion. Never off the reservation, no original insight or unique twist, and cetainly no introspection or evaluation of the limits of liberal perfection.
Frankly this is what's so boring about the Althouse trolls.
I'm back to what I said on a previous post about whether or not AA was annoying.
The root of the word annoy is in odio, Latin for in hatred. Which might account for some of the smell Bagoh20 mentions?
I find Posts and Blogs written to disturb and provoke more productive and creative than those written to annoy. Two different motives, two different results. One causes others to think and form a response; the other leads to reaction and self-defense.
I wouldn't call Ezra Klein a "prototype" liberal. Perhaps "stereotype" was the word you sought?
As for what's boring about Althouse trolls, I'll go with that. In fact, it's kinda of a shame that "Althouse troll" and "left-wing Althouse commenter" correlate as much as they do. The only one I can think of that had left-wing points and wasn't trolling is Gabriel Hanna.

This. Proof positive that -- FLS' mistaken assumptions notwithstanding -- actions absolutely trump resume.
Allah is a "Negative Nancy," but Hot Air rocks in general.
Wow. Pamella Gellar/Atlas Shrugged was only mentioned once.
Jeez... I think Allah is the best blogger on the net. I must be a douche.

Frum finally realized most conservatives were dishonest assholes -- so?

To miss a given point any more egregiously (or ineptly), you'd actually need to dive headlong into the earth and burrow frantically beneath it.
Insert Golf Clap Here.
Allah is irritating? I love him!
