I love seeing these shoes get the respect and status of the Sartorialist presentation.

Dansko clogs.

(Buy them here.)

I think you'll get more reaction from the leggings ad.

I agree! Ever since arthritis settled into my feet, I wear Danskos all the time.

I have them in many colors!

Jesus, can the Satorialist sycophants be any worse than they are with this picture? They are trying to hard to go our of their way to find something positive about this picture of this woman and all they can talk about are the patches on her sweater and how cool those are. Fucking idiots.

I. Hate. Danskos... They are the most unstable footwear I can think of that doesn't entail 6 inch stiletto heels. You have to have perfect feet to wear Danskos. If you vary from their design, you'll ruin your feet with them. I've known many a cook that regretted purchasing Danskos, including myself.

Best professional cooking footwear I've found was a pair of Keen San Antonio clogs in wide. In fact, I'd say Keen footwear is pretty much what I wear regardless.

I love Dansko. I have a pair of 10-yr-old ones that would still look quasi-fashionable today UNFORTUNATELY, they don't do 1/2 sizes like most Euro makers and I can't wear them really as much as I'd like to. I'll just have to wait until my feet get bigger I guess.

My wife has 5 pairs.

Forgive me if this is common knowledge, but Sanita is the Danish company that until sometime in 2007 was the manufacturer behind Dansko clogs. After that, Dansko was made in China and I have a pair of those and I have a pair of Sanita. The Sanita clogs are much more stable to walk in than the Dansko. Also my Dansko clogs are losing the staples one by one. No sign of that happening so far with Sanita pair. (Now, back to lurking!)

Then my two pair must be the original Danish ones. I've had them longer than three years.

I get the impression those commenters over there are using some fabuloulsy fashionable drug. It causes them to hallucinate over things that are simply...

I can't say I'm a fan of the shoes, but her overall look pulls together nicely. I don't see frumpy...?

On the other hand, my Romika clogs are great for taking the dog out to the garden but I don't think an overall look exists that would pull together nicely paired with them.

I'm imagining a flash mob clog dance.

What's the deal with women and shoes?

How are these not equivalent to men in shorts: acceptable where comfort is the first priority, but don't expect to be taken seriously while wearing them?

Wearing my Dansko leopard-prints right now...they are the perfect shoe to stand in. But I found on a recent vacation that they are terrible for walking in, especially on cobblestone streets!

Funny thing about that pic: I look like that about 75% of the time, with sweater, jeans and Danskos. (but not the cell phone) Never thought about it since it seems like "automatic" clothes. So does that mean I'm effortlessly stylish or that the Sartorialist is slipping?

The rule increasingly seems to be that anything comfortable is "ugly" or "frumpy."

I've noticed that they have sanctioned the wearing of socks with impossibly high heels. So at least your feet won't get so cold. Thanks, fashion industry!
