The sun broke through here, too, but we've got a lot more winter ahead of us.
I stopped by the best hardware store in the world to pick up a new shovel. I picked out a long-handled aluminum grain scoop. I need something to toss the snow over the snowbanks that are lining my sidewalks.
Nupla. Made in the USA. Cost a pretty penny, but I expect it to last, just like the Yo-Ho spring steel pusher I bought there 10 years ago.
Didya see that the CIA has formed a task force to investigate Wikileaks. They have dubbed it the Wikileaks Task Force, with the unfortunate acronym WTF. Seriously!
And in other WTF news this morning, I read that 40 people have been lynched in Haiti for suspicion of spreading cholera, including "14 suspected sorcerers" who were suspected of using a "magic substance" to spread the disease. WTF?, people! Newsflash for Haitians: Harry Potter, not real! And that magic substance? It's called raw sewage. Deal with it properly and you don't get cholera.

Darn, that is a nice picture - almost looks like the sky was painted...
People see the dawn differently.
I find it funny that so many people tried to make democracy work in Prop 8 and then were overturned by one judge.
I find it funny that so many people voted for Gore but were undone by judges in Bush's pocket.
I find it funny that lawyers now and judges have taken over the government. Do we have a name for a state run by judges and lawyers?

God does good work.
I was very alarmed to receive a phone call for a Supreme Court candidate tonight. Don't know who it was (a woman, however).
What a waste of money to have another election so soon after November.
Once again.. proof positive why Althouse is ahead of the game..

Ann - beautiful picture.
One recommendation - if you shoot in Raw mode, then you can eliminate the graininess that results from using High ISOs.

Here is the Red Mecine's tumblr page with the photo of Irene Virbila.
But speaking of food critics, if you feel like it, have a look at this little savory pie I made today.
