"[T]he very essence of old-line Democratic feminism is to reject feminine appeal."
Claims Glenn Reynolds, responding to Elizabeth Wurtzel who calls Democrats "total morons for not finding their own hot mama."
Hey! What about Hillary? She'slikable hot enough.

I like the typo.
Blech. Not "total morals." Corrected.
I think they had another definition of hot. Hillary is nuclear waste hot.
Happy Thanksgiving to you, Meade, and the family.
The Maoists went so far as to design an outfit that everyone had to wear, plus all women had to cut their hair short. Even beauty was redistributed toward equality.
Ha.
It was better with the typo.
Yesterday you said Meade was cute. I was willing to take you at your word. Now, though, you've said that Hillary is hot. I must re-evaluate my new perception of Meade.
Dems have had entertainment on their side, predominantly, for a long time. With the entertainment industry came a lot of hot chicks. Are we suggesting that they were all so vacuous that none could fit the bill for a progressive politician with hot-mama cred?
Feminism is such a crock.
My late wife, Myrna, was born in the shantytown of Olongopo in the Philippines. In the shantytowns, the shacks are built over a creek, with a trap door opening into the creek for use as a toilet.
At the end of her life, she was training manager of a huge corporate law firm. She ran offices in six cities on the East Coast.
And she was emerging as a great cafe blues and jazz singer.
She was also the most beautiful, sexy woman you've ever seen.
Stuff the feminist bullshit, Ann. You grew up soft and pampered, and you're still bitching for more. I can tell just by looking at your pictures how marshmallow soft you are and what a pampered, protected life you've lived.
If you need a religion, and apparently you do, try Christianity.
Cut the crap. In many ways you are a decent and interesting woman. This feminist crap is just self-serving BS.
Yesterday you said Meade was cute. I was willing to take you at your word. Now, though, you've said that Hillary is hot. I must re-evaluate my new perception of Meade
Meade is hotter than Hillary.
With the entertainment industry came a lot of hot chicks. Are we suggesting that they were all so vacuous that none could fit the bill for a progressive politician with hot-mama cred?
Jodie Foster could. But I think she's above that.
Sorry, I can't think of any other liberal women that have hotness AND smarts. Even Katrina Van Whatshername is just another credentialed idiot.
If the very essence of Democrat feminism is to reject feminine appeal well I guess they can finally chalk up a rousing success. As well as successfully redistributing what little feminity they had to their men.
not hilldog is not hot.
i mean jon stewart once said, paraphrase, that is a face where erections go to die.
The sex change fashion of Democrats/liberals is aesthetically repugnant and spiritually inert.
I tried the internet dating sites after my wife died. Because I am an artist and I have a home in Woodstock, I heard constantly from the horrible New Age, Zen, Democratic women. They are a nightmare. God alone knows why they want to inflict themselves on a man.
A dildo and a turkey baster seems sufficient for their needs.
I'm ok with the idea of an old-line feminism rejection of feminine appeal. Go fot it. What's not acceptable is the tendency to downgrade women who do want to maintain feminine appeal.
Meh. I just read Wurtzel. Her premise is flawed - the reason Palin is popular is not because she's hot.
This is just more of the "voters reject us because they are stupid and easily misled by X, we should get our own X" nonsense.
But go ahead and play that card. Chase your tail for a few more weeks.
I heard constantly from the horrible New Age, Zen, Democratic women. They are a nightmare. God alone knows why they want to inflict themselves on a man.
Most the women I dated were liberal. Mostly as an accessory to be part of the "in" crowd. And I know exactly what you mean: when I started dating, my list of attributes to look for in a mate was "atttractive, intelligent, funny".
After the first year of dating, I had to add "sane".
A hot babe? Sounds like it's time to break out Oprah!
I actually read the referenced article.
Jesus, that Wurtzel woman is a horrifyingly repulsive bitch.
Condescending as hell. Apparently, she's another one of those Democratic geniuses we hear so much about... like HenHouse or garbage.
What a fucking low life!
What makes these low life fucks think they're so smart?
Wurtzel especially jabs at Palin for her "sex appeal," which is supposedly the only source of Palin's success.
Yes, Palin is sexy, but her sexiness is not a passive, given to her at birth characteristic. Palin earned it.
She was a star high school athlete, point guard on an Alaska basketball state champion. She's an avid outdoors woman who clearly works at maintaining her athleticism and toughness. And, she's maintained her sex appeal through giving birth to five children.
Wurtzel is a jealous cunt. She's trying to intimate that Palin is just the passive recipient of her greatest asset, which is her sex appeal.
Palin earned that.
Hey! What about Hillary? She's likable hot enough.
That is the wrong conclusion. The right thing to say is this:
Where are the smart and sexy 40 year old Dem women who can stand up to or along side Palin? Where are they? Why aren’t they there? If anything Michelle Obama should have been some of all that but they had to ‘FAKE’ her like they did him. So where are the smart and sexy Democratic women of our generation?
When McCain brought Palin on the scene and I heard her the first few times say ‘good old boys network’ in her speeches, I gushed on Anglachel that a mother of 5 and a governor and married to almost a house husband could actually spell progress (even though she was a Republican) for women if she got elected and how much of a slap that would be for the Democrats to have rejected Hillary. Palin never rose to the challenge and still has not. But she has sex appeal and says things others won’t which gives her the populist appeal.
For someone who doesn't agree with anything Sarah Palin says, Elizabeth Wurtzel's praise for Palin's success comports to the idea of feminism I thought feminism was about.
I've always thought feminism was supposed to transcend partisan politics..
Sarah Palin all day every day!
But it doesn't matter. It will never matter and I bet it never has mattered, because Sarah Palin is hot. She has sex appeal. That's why people like her. That's the whole story.
Wurtzel will keep telling herself this in a desperate attempt to continue clinging to old-line feminism. Could it be that Americans (on the whole) do not find much attraction to old-line feminism, and the real reason they like Sarah Palin is because they see themselves in her and her family?
Wurtzel calls her a "quitter" (I see no sign that she's quitting anything) and that she raises "wretched children." I know that when I watch "Sarah Palin's Alaska" (yes, I do) and her kids are behaving like normal teens, being sassy, and screwing around in the RV, I don't think "What wretched children!" I think "Yeah, that's pretty normal."
It has nothing to do with Sarah's "hotness" (whatevs), it has to do with the fact that people relate to her.
Wurtzel calls her a working mother in an equal marriage who doesn't have to put up with a lot of crap for being female.
Welcome to reality, Ms. Wurtzel! America is filled with working moms in equal marriages who don't worship at the altar of identity politics. And they vote.
Despite Wurtzels jabs at Palin ("not very bright, not very thoughtful") I've not read anything from the other side other than total contemptuous hate.
This is as close an endorsement of Palin you will ever likely to see from the other side..
Something tells me that perhaps Wurtzel felt she had to say some nasty things about Palin for the sake of her friends..
It seems like Wurtzel is saying that democrats can’t get past the “if I want to be taken seriously I have to wear ugly clothes, hair and glasses” thing for women, but she’s missing the point that Palin is not all about looks. And Wurtzel is so desperate not to be rejected by her peers when she says that she “likes” Palin, that she has to say that she likes her despite her being wrong, evil, stupid, etc…
Decent are a help to any politician, male or female. Don’t we know that already? Making it a male/female thing is silly.
"total morons for not finding their own hot mama."
And here she exposes that is it all style and no substance.
Since feminists were revealed as nothing more than shills for the aborition industry during the Clinton Presidency, and after not even 2 years of the Obama regime leading to fiscal, healthcare, employment ruin and overall American decline, when do we get to admit that modern liberalism is just a conglermation of silly emoting, lies, hypocirsy and incompetence?
Old school feminism never appealed to me because it seemed to be a rejection of our natural, biological, femininity.
The idea that men and women are at war with each other or that there should be some sort of competition completely turned me off.
The idea that a feminist could not also embrace her feminine side and should suppress cultural and biological feminine traits, also turned me off.
Most of the 'dedicate' feminists that I have met have been sour, pinched, mean spirited, resentful, uncompromising, bitches.
Just excactly the women who can't understand a feminist like Palin and who savage her at every chance.
VW: menha lol
The ultimate irony.
All you have to do to understand the corrupting influence of being born to wealth and status is to look at Bristol Palin.
She doesn't have her mother's sex appeal.
Bristol is soft and fat and entitled.
She's not going to be a tigress like her mother.
Sarah Palin all day every day!
Ok then, try this one.
All you have to do to understand the corrupting influence of being born to wealth and status is to look at Bristol Palin.
Really?
20 years ago the Palin's were "wealthy"?
Your evidence of this is what, again?
The whole point of the feminists in the 70s was that looks were a sop to the old patriarchy and that women shouldn't have to appeal to that to get ahead. Getting away from "finding their own hot mama." was supposed to be the point.
Now, with the rise of good-looking Conservative women, many of whom were elected a few weeks ago, the Demos want in, but haven't got anybody but Gillibrand. All the women on their side look like Big Sis or Barbara Mikulski.
PS Saw where Miss Sarah said on Hannity this morning that she wouldn't run for POTUS if she became "a lightning rod". Smart girl. She just gave herself an out.
What if there were a lot more leftist that felt as Wurtzel.. If not happy certainly glad to see a woman getting it done they way the've always said a woman should be able to have it all.. if she wanted.
But they were afraid to say so lest they get pounced on by friends.
Other than Ferraro I cant remember any giving Palin her do.
Your evidence of this is what, again?
All you have to do to understand the corrupting influence of being born to wealth and status is to look at Bristol Palin.
I also think Wurtzel might (might) be onto something with the "hotness," but what she fails to see is that hotness isn't just the way a woman looks. It's the total package that includes attitude and charm and beliefs, and the ability to relate to others, and . . . well, everything.
The Dems can't just pick a hot-looking liberal and exclaim "we've found our Sarah!" because what's hot about Sarah is that she is a working mom. That she does club halibut and shoot moose. That she doesn't take any crap. That she enjoys life in spite of the Wurtzels and Sullivans of the world. She is seemingly quite happy with her life, and this must just cause her critics no end of frustration.
No one would blame Palin if she became angry and bitter at the god-awful treatment she's received. But she doesn't. She rides above it all. She lives life to the fullest. That is hot.
All you have to do to understand the corrupting influence of being born to wealth and status
Um, this is an assertion not based in reality.
Bristo Palin is 20 years old.
What "status" and wealth did the Palin's have in 1990?
From Wikipedia:
Before [Palin] was elected governor, she was a member of the Wasilla, Alaska City Council from 1992 to 1996, and the city's mayor from 1996 to 2002. After an unsuccessful campaign for lieutenant governor of Alaska in 2002, she chaired the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission from 2003 until she resigned in 2004.
You may not understand small town life, but I do. You think that wealth and power only means that which is measured on a big time, national scale.
Palin was a wealthy, connected and influential woman from the time Bristol was born. That's all Bristol has ever known.
Now, I'll tell you again: Look at the pictures of Bristol. She's fat, soft and obviously privileged. She will never be the tough, slim tigress like her mother.
This is not to say Bristol won't be successful.
Palin was a wealthy, connected and influential woman
By being a member of the Wasilla, Alaska City Council?
Really?
@Drew 10:10
I agree.. I'm no expert and I will concede that I dont look at Palin with anything resembling objectivity.. But, Palins charm/optimism seems genuine.
When we have a president litteraly bowing to the world apologising, high unemployment, an unabated terror threat.. a Palin comes along to lift us out of the funk..
Palin was a wealthy, connected and influential woman
By being a member of the Wasilla, Alaska City Council?
Really?
Yes. Ever lived in a small town? I grew up in one.
You think that wealth and power only means that which is measured on a big time, national scale
Um, no.
Bill Gates has "Wealth"
Palin was not, and is not, "wealthy"
And having a 35K a year city council job certainly does not make you wealthy.
Ever lived in a small town? I grew up in one.
So did I.
And the mayor was not wealthy.
Nor was anyone on the city council.
Your assertions have no basis in fact.
And having a 35K a year city council job certainly does not make you wealthy.
Yes, in Wasilla it does.
Once again, go take a look at a picture of Bristol Palin.
You'll see the soft, fat look of a privileged kid in her face.
Most of the 'dedicate' feminists that I have met have been sour, pinched, mean spirited, resentful, uncompromising, bitches.
You forgot furry.
You'll see the soft, fat look of a privileged kid in her face.
Isn't is possible she is just soft and that has nothing to do with "privlidge"?
I mean, her son was in the military, he doesn't seem soft.
Yes. Ever lived in a small town? I grew up in one.
I live in a very small town and I agree with shoutingthomas.
Wealth and power are relative to your location.
The Palins had businesses (a big deal in a small town), were connected and influential in small town Wasilla. This DOES make you a big fish in a small pond and perhaps the children, Bristol, grew up with a sense of entitlement.
I have no idea if that is the case with Bristol or not. However, you see it in the children of local ling time ranching families and business owners.
These kids are, unfortunately, due for a rude awakening when they get out into the 'larger' world.
I read Wurtzel's article start to finish (and kept my breakfast down -- how's that for manliness?!?) and a couple thoughts struck me.
First, Wurtzel must be just about the only person in America who thinks a Baaah-ston Brahmin accent is preferrable to Sarah Palin's accent.
When Wurtzel asserts that Sarah Palin is stupid, she falls into the trap that so many Ivy-educated people fall into -- that if you weren't educated in an Ivy (or Stanford or Berkeley or Northwestern, and on a good day they'll condescend to include Wisconsin) then you aren't crap. If Wurtzel was sufficiently self-aware, she might realize that. But she's not.
Sarah Palin's hotness is only a small part of her appeal. Although Wurtzel third paragraph from the top asserts that "Sarah Palin is hot. She has sex appeal. That's why people like her. That's the whole story." If one leaps forward to the third paragraph from the end Wurtzel concedes that Sarah Palin comes across as a real person. She isn't the result of summing up twenty or thirty different polls with carefully focus-group tested themes. She is what she is. What Wurtzel doesn't get, is that that, more than Palin's sex appeal, is what resonates among the citizenry.
A quick peek at Wurtzel's short bio on wikipedia suggests that she is unmarried and childless. So I'll close by saying that if Wurtzel had children, or even had the brains of a chipmunk, she would know better than to take cheap shots ("wretched children") at a mama grizzly's kids. Or my wife's kids.
@shoutingthomas, your description of your late wife made me tear up a bit. You have my sympathies on your loss; she came across as one Hell of a woman in your writing.
Ever lived in a small town? I grew up in one.
Wealth and influence are completely relative. My father was born and grew up in a town with a population of 48. His father had a flushing toilet in the house and that made him one of the town's top men. Top. Men.
On the other hand, shoutingthomas, however right you are about Bristol, it really is rude to put it in writing.
@shoutingthomas, your description of your late wife made me tear up a bit. You have my sympathies on your loss; she came across as one Hell of a woman in your writing.
Myrna was the most incredible creature God ever created. Every person who did not experience her was cheated out of one of the great experiences of life.
On the other hand, shoutingthomas, however right you are about Bristol, it really is rude to put it in writing.
I don't know if it's rude, but it is realistic.
Hillary, hot, not, never was either.
ST,
I tried the internet dating sites after my wife died. Because I am an artist and I have a home in Woodstock, I heard constantly from the horrible New Age, Zen, Democratic women. They are a nightmare. God alone knows why they want to inflict themselves on a man.
Dude, you're killing me over here! I'm serious - I'm fucking crying I'm laughing so hard. All of these were funny but, for obvious reasons, that one took the cake!
Back in the day, and I am Ann's age, you went after the lefties because they were interesting, well read and of course hot and willing. The righties all looked like Hillary Clinton.
Now all the righties are well read, interesting hot and willing...
How things have changed in my lifetime...
Crack,
That video was so detestable that I could only watch about 30 seconds of it.
It does take the cake.

Hey if you have any numbers for the furry ones pass them on to ironrailironwieghts.
I'll reprise here the comment I posted at The Atlantic:
For any real feminist, the most likeable thing about Sarah Palin should be the fact that she made it where she is on her own. She's not where she is because she's someone's wife (like Hillary Clinton) or someone's daughter (like Nancy Pelosi) or someone's son (any Kennedy, Gore or Bush). She took on the good old boys in Alaska politics and beat them at their own game. She's not one of the Ivy League elitists who have gotten this country into the mess it is in. Is she the best candidate for 2012? Probably not. Is she better than anyone we're likely to get? You betcha.
The Democrats haven't had any hot chicks since Bella Abzug.
st
"Look at the pictures of Bristol. She's fat, soft and obviously privileged. She will never be the tough, slim tigress like her mother."
You cite unbelievably thin evidence to support such certainty in your conclusion.
You cite unbelievably thin evidence to support such certainty in your conclusion.
Can't help but laugh at that one.
No, I'm citing fat evidence.
Take a look at a picture of her face.
st,
You've heard of NJ Governor Christie, right?
You've heard of NJ Governor Christie, right?
Note, I did say that Bristol will probably be successful in life.
She might even become a successful politician.
What I also said is that Bristol doesn't have her mother's sex appeal, because Bristol is fat, soft and privileged.
Sara Palin's sex appeal is earned. You can't fake that.
Nancy Pelosi is hot...for a septuagenerian.
Pelosi has a nice rack!!
Nancy Pelosi is hot...for a septuagenerian.
Whoa!
The Botox/stretchy face lift thing doesn't do it for me!
I think it is kind of creepy to talk about Bristol Palin's sex appeal. She's just a kid. I mean it is like an old geezer talking about Miley Cyrus or something.
Try and stay age appropriate dudes. Just sayn.
@ ricpic
She looks pretty young but she's just back-dated...
Try and stay age appropriate dudes. Just sayn.
Jesus, Trooper! Give me a break.
If I'm going to "stay age appropriate," I'm going to have boinking 60 year old babes.
Take a look at a picture of her face.
She IS part Inuit/Eskimo. The round face is typically an ethnic characteristic.
For any real feminist, the most likeable thing about Sarah Palin should be the fact that she made it where she is on her own
Bingo. Palin is everything that feminist SAY they want women to be. Successful on her own merit. Able to hold her own in a "man's" world. Yet she still maintains her femininity and sexuality.
ahahahaha, this is funny:
Pressed by Walters, Obama said: "What I'm saying is I don't think about Sarah Palin."
Um, yeah, right.
Dude, just stay in the 20 year range. I bet there are some hot forty somethings that are ready to rock and roll.
You need to go to the places they congregate and pick one out of the herd. They are legion.
You want to know a great place. You won't believe me if I tell you but go and get a manicure. I mean you will meet a ton of hot older women who are into their looks and are divorced and looking for a guy. You don't have to be metrosexual, just get a quick manicure because of a severe "Hang nail" problem that is a problem for using your computer at work. Trust me you will do great. The real liberal bitches are not into that degree of personal hygine.
Or you can just hit on the manicurist. I know you like to dip into the rice bowl. Just sayn'
Trooper, the rule is 1/2 +7. That is, the lowest a man should go is half his age plus seven years. Anything younger than that is robbing the cradle.
So, I should be looking for a 37+ year old manicurist with a rice bowl?
How about sushi?

Palin is everything that feminists SAY they want women to be.
But when they actually come face-to-face with it (e.g., in Palin), they hate it.
There's material there for a bajillion psychologists working on the taxpayer dime.

This is what I like best about her story. Absolutely. It's a great story! All the way from Wasila town council to governor of the state! Completely with hubby watching the kids.
Add "2 term governor" to that and I think we've got a good start for a presidential campaign. If only she hadn't stepped down.
Hillary was hot but not anymore which will happen to Palin too.
She IS part Inuit/Eskimo. The round face is typically an ethnic characteristic.
Uh no. She has no excuse for being fat & soft. She's a child of privilege and she disgusts every good-thinking American with her homophobia and lies.
Bingo. Palin is everything that feminist SAY they want women to be. Successful on her own merit. Able to hold her own in a "man's" world. Yet she still maintains her femininity and sexuality.
Yes, but she isn't a charity case who needs their help. This is the assigned role of the "lower classes."
Feminism is the ideology of upper class and upper middle class women.
My wife inspired only hatred and anger in the liberal women of Woodstock. The reason: a Filipina who grew up in poverty and ignorance was supposed to remain poor and ignorant so that the liberal women could save her. They live to perform their missionary work.
That my wife had moved beyond them, was better educated and made more money, outraged the liberal women of Woodstock.
This was eye-opening for me. The liberal feminist women of Woodstock wanted my wife to remain poor and ignorant so that they could pity her and save her.
This, I think, is the role that liberal feminist women also have in mind for Sara Palin.

They don't hate Palin for this. They would be fine with it if the person was a Democrat. The animosity is all partisan, not philosophical. If either women or blacks come to see the Republican Party as equally supportive of their preferences liberal Democrats will have to give up any hope of achiving their most cherished goals.
Liberals know most Americans don't support their policy choices. They maintain electoral competitiveness despite this by convincing blacks that Rep policies are racist and women that they are sexist. These charges are the glue that make hard left policies possible. Palin draws overheated attacks because her success and popularity prove the Dem message that Reps are sexist is wrong.
ricpic:
Nancy is hot if you are into BDSM. There is a great picture of her when she becaome minority whip holding the ceremonial bullwhip. It fits her well.
They maintain electoral competitiveness despite this by convincing blacks that Rep policies are racist and women that they are sexist.
Wrong!
Democrats pay off blacks with quota preferences and welfare payments.
Democrats pay off women to abandon their husbands, and to raise their children as wards of the state.
This has nothing to do with "beliefs." Democratic policy creates dependency by rewarding it.
st
"Democrats pay off blacks with quota preferences"
Majorities of blacks oppose quotas and race preferences.
Majorities of blacks oppose quotas and race preferences.
But they are the recipients of them.
So?
st
"But they are the recipients of them."
1. No. A minority of blacks benefit from quotas and race preferences.
2. Why do you think this relevant? People can benefit from something and still both recognize it as wrong and wish it would end. We call this "principled".
You'll have to clear the fog for me, but wouldn't principled stance be not to accept any benefit of quotas and buy-offs that you disagree?
My wife manages a call center and had a very wide swath of human demographic working for her. She's one of the most even-handed, soft-toned people I know, but even she chafes against the fact that the minority workers she has know their way around the HR department's unwillingness to mess with protected classes and push the rules to absolute breaking point. This isn't to say she doesn't have non-minority workers that push as well, but you're crazy if you think a majority of minorities are both against these benefits (institutional or not) and refuse to receive benefit from them.
ScottM
What you describe isn't a race preference of quota.
or, or, or, or, or.
Sorry, you're correct. Quota was the wrong word. Protected class is the correct term visa vi a human resources department. The creeping rot is the same.
Majorities of blacks oppose quotas and race preferences.
What's your evidence for this?
90% of blacks voted for Obama. I'm pretty sure that one of the major issues for those blacks was their belief that Obama would pay them back with quota preferences and welfare payments.
"What's your evidence for this?"
I don't normally walk around with copies of studies in my pocket, but if I can find it I'll post a link.
Trooper;
Try and stay age appropriate dudes. Just sayn.
Do you have daughters?
"I'm pretty sure that one of the major issues for those blacks was their belief that Obama would pay them back with quota preferences and welfare payments."

She has no excuse for being fat & soft.
She did have a baby. Some women have more trouble losing baby weight than others.

Another thread about feminism has devolved into alleged baby fat and the looks of a young woman.
Why should anyone -- male or female -- need an excuse for being fat and or soft?

Yes. And granddaughters.
But I never saw the appeal in the really young girls even when I was a young guy. I always went for the older broads. You know, the ones that have already been to the rodeo and know how the ride should go. So to speak.
Some guys are afraid of comparisions. That why the Muslims have their women wrapped up like mummies.
If AlphaLiberal were awake he would say that would be bigotry towards the lack of sexual expertise among the Muslim extremists that he cherishes so much.
There is one, and only one, reason why blacks voted for Obama.
I'll let you geniuses figure out what it is.

He had a hot white mama?
Sarah Palin is acting out the feminist fantasy of having it all: hunky husband, lucrative career, healthy family. If only she were liberal, intellectuals would gush in deep think articles about how busy, self actualizing women with a family don't have time to read a bunch of books and magazines, that they learn by doing, that Sarah's lack of verbal grace is, in fact, a demonstration of her forthright nature, and on and on. Look at the way, they canonized the chunk sisters: Sotomayor and Kagan. (Incidentally, you don't have to be privileged to be fat and soft. In America, anyone can grow up to be fat and soft.).....I think that it's a fine joke that Sarah Palin embodies every feminist ideal.
William - Palin's family is a disaster. Also her "career" is something all elites scoff at.
Why should anyone -- male or female -- need an excuse for being fat and or soft?
I don't disagree, MM,(and I don't think Bristol is fat really). However, the question was asked what her excuse was, and having a baby is a good one. There are biological reasons why women are "softer" than men. We're not supposed to be 3 % body fat. Some women are build rounder than others, though.
What is the percentage of Democrats on Prozac?
The soft, round face of privilege.
The hard, angular face of deprivation.
Er, I thought Obama was their "hot mama"?
(Oh yes, he was. Everything she said about people not caring about what Palin stands for because they are in love with her, applied to him.)
It is also my contention and observation, that the hearts of white liberal males -especially of a certain age - respond more readily to a black man than a woman.
I can see why with the older guys - they projected all their righteous 60s-era fantasies into the civil rights era, whereas they have had divorces and personal issues to deal with when it comes to women.
Not so sure on the younger guys other than the cultural issues and having "mom" issues with feminists.
IN any case, conservative males, it turns out, in 2010 respond more readily to a female and are far more open - and it's not just Palin.
Who knew? No me, until the last few years.
