"Barry, who was chubby, was referred to as the 'boy who runs like a duck,' said Mrs. Satjakoesoemah, 69."
A quote surfaces, as Barry returns to his childhood home, Jakarta, Indonesia. Barry is now Barack, Barack Obama, President of the United States. He's married to Michelle, who has made it her mission to deal with America's fat little boys who run like ducks.

I would prefer that we deal with our president's policies rather than this kind of deterius. This approach is for the lying progressives, not for grown up conservatives.

Well-crafted and elegant, ma'am.
One time, recalled the elder son, Slamet Januadi, now 52, Mr. Obama asked a group of boys whether they wanted to grow up to be president, a soldier or a businessman. A president would own nothing while a soldier would possess weapons and a businessmen would have money, the young Obama explained.
Mr. Januadi and his younger brother, both of whom later joined the Indonesian military, said they wanted to become soldiers. Another boy, a future banker, said he would become a businessman.
“Then Barry said he would become president and order the soldier to guard him and the businessman to use his money to build him something,” Mr. Januadi said. “We told him, ‘You cheated. You didn’t give us those details.’ ”
Then Barack said he would become president and let Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid bring him a universal health care bill that had to be passed before anyone could know what was in it. The people told him, "You cheated! You didn't give us those details."
Ba-quack Obama?
That's just mean
I will say this... if you are in a foreign country like Indonesia, you must think America is the most wonderful place on earth. A fat, shy kid from the streets of Indonesia can move back to America and become the POTUS. I would hope that's what they take away from this. I don't know that they do.
He was Barry Soetoro back then.
Did you see the Obamas' entries in the visitors book at the Gandhi Museum? It looked like Michelle was having problems with spelling.
"He's married to Michelle, who has made it her mission to deal with America's fat little boys who run like ducks. "
Ha ha ha...
" 'He’s not as popular here as he was before'."
I guess there's hope for Chris Christie then:

"Hill: Christie Too Fat To Be President
Updated: Monday, 08 Nov 2010, 10:53 AM EST
Columbia professor Dr. Marc Lamont Hill says New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will faces real weighty issues if he runs for president.
On NBC's "Meet the Press" Sunday, Christie ruled out a 2012 run for president or vice president. But he left room for a run four years later for higher office.
Christie told NBC he was "going to need a job" after 2013. He added, "So maybe it will be that. Who knows?"
Hill is a political analyst and he thinks Christie will need to make some lifestyle changes if he really wants to be president.
“The first thing people do before they run is say, ‘I’m not going to run,” Hill said. “Obama did the same exact thing.”
Hill says Christie will have a long road to get to the White House, and part of Christie’s issue is his body weight.
“He can’t win, let’s be honest,” Hill said. “I’m going to say this and don’t get mad – he’s fat.”
“He’s fat for a politician. He doesn’t have the body type to win. There are other issues – look at that,” Hill said as he looked at an image of Christie.
Hill says people still vote on appearance.
“Look at Sarah Palin,” Hill said.
Hill said he expected some people to outraged by his comments.
“Chris Christie has the perfect profile to be a presidential nominee. Politically, he has the right profile and agenda.”
Hill said that despite the physical issues, Christie will be on a short list of candidates and could get a vice presidential nomination in 2012.
“He’s playing the circuit perfectly. Now, if he could just run the circuit a little bit and trim some of that off, he’ll be just fine.”
In 2009, a polling group asked New Jersey voters if though Christie’s weight was an issue in the governor’s race.
Only 11 percent of respondents though Christie’s weight was a relevant issue. "
All Chris Christie has to do if he wants to run for Pres. is sign up for that weight loss program they advertise during NFL games. If Mike Golic can drop the weight, so can the New Jersey Hammer.
By 2015 41% of the U.S. population will categorized as obese. Close to 25% of children in this country are already obese. This should be as controversial as Laura Bush telling American children they need to be literate. Should be.
If it runs like a duck, and talks like a duck...
Every time a fat duck takes up smoking, they become like totally skinny.

After I got married, but before I started having kids five years later, I believed this hook-line-and-sinker. As we didn't have kids and our friends didn't have kids, the only children I ever saw were at the mall...and those tend to be fat for some reason...
Now, flash forward to a 6-year-old, a 3-year-old, and a 1-year-old, I'm around children constantly. More specifically, I'm around my 1st-grader's elementary school population quite a bit. Frankly...they've got about the same number of noticeably fat kids as we did we I was in elementary school. This holds true for my nieces' and nephews' schools. Sure, there are fat kids, but there have always been fat kids. What I see is a bunch of healthy kids flying around the playgrounds and ball fields.
I don't doubt there's an issue, I just don't know that it's as dire as the quote above suggests.
Every time a fat duck takes up smoking, they become like totally skinny.
Straight duck skinny is still gay duck fat.
Y'know, I've put on weight lately - a lot for me - and it hasn't concerned me in the least. I don't feel unhealthy, or unattractive, or anything like that. I mostly feel more energetic, like I want to run like Forrest Gump or something.
Maybe I'm finally getting better, but in an ass-backwards kind of way?
And I love the name "Mrs. Satjakoesoemah".
Try saying that, three times, fast.
He runs (probably still) like a duck and throws like a girl.
You sure this guy's an American?
Speaking of being chubby, there is the picture of Hillary Clinton on the Drudge Report now.

That depends on how they classify obese. Last week I was getting my annual physical and while sitting in the exam room I noticed one of those ‘obesity charts’ that shows height, weight and whether you’re underweight, normal overweight or obese. I’m 6’1, weigh 210 (as of that morning) and as of last month scored a 11% bodyfat yet the chart categorized me as 'overweight'.

This is the crux of the matter, HD. I'm in the same boat you are. I'm also 6'1" and the last time I was 210, (about 30 pounds ago) I was playing college football, but still had a BFI of around 10%. I was rock solid and in the best shape of my life.
I was rock solid and in the best shape of my life.
That's how I feel now. Prior to hitting 30 I was a whopping 180. Hell I was 170 when I was married at 24 and in my tux I resembled a folded umbrella.
They kept track of our weight each week and expected everyone to add 1/4 lbs. In order to do that, given the amount of physical exertion you have to put into college ball, I had to eat large meals. I tried to keep it healthy, but come on...it was freshman year in college. The pizza cup overfloweth as well.
Garage, I completely agree. The first lady is not, and has never been the problem. It is the progressive policies that we are fighting, not the people who believe in them.

How does a story like this help O? He's already alienated a large number of folks who voted for him in '08. The 'foreignness' of his childhood will only appeal to those who are his strongest supporters - and is quite likely to have the opposite impact on the marginal O voter who's come to doubt all the 'hope and change' stuff, and just voted R in the midterms.
It's a bit weird in a second sense. Does anyone recall stories like this about W's childhood or Bush 1's or Reagan's or Carter's? I recall (vaguely) some stories about Clinton's early years - all that stuff about the fat Boy from Hope, born on the wrong side of the tracks and looking for love in all the wrong places. But it wasn't a story that the Clintonistas wanted to push (other than the tag line - the Man from Hope).
It didn't take long before folks were sure they had a pretty good handle on Clinton, W and those others. But the fascination with O's origins is a reflection that people don't feel they really know this guy. Conspiracy buffs will want to know why the NYT is pushing the meme.

I like the idea that Chris Christie isn't a cookie cutter, Romney, plastic, assembled by a committee person.
He is overweight. So? What does that have to do with his mind, his character, his morals. Nothing.
The fact that he IS over some arbitrary threshold of weight, actually puts him into the "normal" range of the US population. People can relate to him.
This should be as controversial as Laura Bush telling American children they need to be literate. Should be.
TELLING. That is the problem. I don't want people telling me what to eat, what to read, what kind of light bulbs to use. I want them to STFU and quit trying to micro manage my life. Quit TELLING me what to do.
And especially quit TELLING me how to live without leading by example. Until they walk the walk, the progressives can quit TELLING us anything.
Of course, the progressives, Nazi Nannies, just can't help themselves. They think they know better than anyone and must interfere.
Meade,
Folks didn't know what was in the health care reform because they didn't bother studying the subject.
BTW, I would guess that ninety percent of the population still know less about health care reform than this cartoon.
Folks didn't know what was in the health care reform because they didn't bother studying the subject.
If you're including the reps and senators that voted it into law, I'd be inclined to agree with you.
Me: Care for a cigarette?
Barak: Sure, I'll have one.
Me: Psyche. I don't smoke.
~*~*~*~*~*~
Me: Care for a triple-bun, double burger with double cheese?
Michelle: Ew yes! I'll have two of those.
Me: Psyche. I have only grilled tofu.
Why a duck?
The Doctors in my life ask me how much did I weigh in High School. Then they say that I must attain that weight again. Talk about torturing a prisoner. They only I get from them is a rule that my food should be salt free...that helps a little. If we saw Barry Soetoro at his High School weight again we might be surprised at his weight gain.
The only person who held both of the positions of President and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court was William Howard Taft.
Do you think Barry will be able to say the same?
Fuck the health Nazi's.
GO EAT YOU'RE FUCKING TOFU AND LEAVE REAL RED BLOODED AMERICAN'S ALONE TO OUR PIZZA, BURGERS AND FRIES!!!!!!!!!!!!
One thing's for sure, the president and his wife aren't all they were quacked up to be.
"Folks didn't know what was in the health care reform because they didn't bother studying the subject."
Nope, not even close. The deals and payoffs were so thick and confusing that the people who crafted it did not know everything that was in it.
You statement if really quite wrong. Even Nancy Pelosi agreed with me.
Trey
Waddling into the White House. Bravo!!!

To bad you are neither. You know, skinny or literate, you retarded bucket of Crisco.
Chris Christie is not fat. That is his awesomeness which his body can barely contain.

Chris Christie is the Dragon Warrior, we just don't know it yet. I think a giant turtle has to die first.
"This should be as controversial as Laura Bush telling American children they need to be literate. Should be."
Do you know why it is not controversial, Garage? It's because Barack Obama's Department of Agrigulture is advising McDonald's how to put more cheese on the cheeseburgers.
Did you know that it was the administration of Barack Obama which recently helped redesign Domino's Pizza to include 40% more cheese? And now the fat-laden pizzas are selling like hotcakes!
Barack Obama is killing America's children by sending these government cheese advisers into restaurants and showing the cooks how to use more cheese.
Obama is a murderer.
He's killing us softly with his cheese.
Tradguy, don't tell me I have to get back to 125 pounds. It's taken me 30 odd years to get close to 160 on my 6'2" frame.
160 on 6'2"???
Can you be seen from the side if you stand still?
Aflaaaaaaack!
Ham, I was fascinated by that cheese story, and on so many levels.
First off, the guy running this dairy group is obviously good at his job. He came up with the "Got Milk" campaign, and now he has us hankering for triple cheese pizza. Maybe it's time they promote this guy before he is picked up to lead some private company, which is really where he should be anyway.
Instead, the government gives this guy a budget that is nearly as much as they give to the person responsible for the nation's nutrition, and that, while this guy's current mission is totally at odds with what the government claims the nutrition message should be.
It would be laughable if it weren't such a clear picture of just how the government manages dueling priorities.
Throw money here. Throw money there. Throw money everywhere!
"I guess there's hope for Chris Christie then:"
You'd think, James, but darn those Jersey voters. Did you see this from today's news?
Poll:Voters Like Christie as Gov, not President
