That play capped a 80 yard drive against arguably the best defensive line in college football. Nobody blocks that line like Wisconsin did.

Tsk. Tsk.

I do not believe that you have the express written permission of the National Football League to redistribute their copyrighted content.

Shame on you, Ann.

I'm certain you'll be hearing shortly from their lawyers.

When did the NFL buy UW football, Ham?

अनामित म्हणाले...

Well, perhaps not the NFL, but the Big 10 Network owns the copyright to all UW football game broadcasts.

They demand express written permission too.

Let a million lawyers descend on Madison.

Is that a touchdown? I thought the runner's knee has to touch down inside the goal line for it to be a touchdown.

traditionalguy म्हणाले...

I thought only Superman could fly.

traditionalguy म्हणाले...

Ricpic...The runner's knee or body part other than a hand or foot touching the ground stops play where the ball is at that moment of touching. Before that moment, any of the ball "breaking the imaginary plain " going straight up from the frontmost edge of the white painted goal line is bingo, a completed touchdown.

Meade has really rocked your world.

I mean I'm going to have a hard time buying the idea you spent the last twenty years or so watching football with your sons and suddenly it just now appears in the blog.

Nice point, BTW. Those color combinations from the uniforms can be quite interesting.

Worthy challenges and challengers involve all manner of color and being.

Thanks rrhardin. I enjoy your captions and link segues as much as your photos.

I like how aggressive the Defense looks in the pic. Makes you apppreciate the effort of the runner.

Make it move!

Chip...That's wrestling, not football. Very clever, however.

#18 should have been knocking the ball out of the Badger's had as it was extended.

Rh, your black and gold, Vicky, is a perpetual winner because she's so darn cute! It isn't even troubling that she takes her eyes off the ball.

Now if Iowa can win next week...

The trick here is to develop an interest where a win makes you feel good for longer than a loss makes you feel bad. It helps if you actually like the game. For me, if the Hokies loose a good game (e.g. Boise State) the enjoyment of the game lasts longer than the disappointment with the loss. It's hard to do this in a college town where everyone is rooting for the same team. Sadness is contagious. And with the crazy fans sadness can morph into anger. (I once had to remind one of my colleagues what it would be like his classes calculus test was on national TV.) I pity people whose job depends on the performance of 18 year olds.

A well-played game between two evenly matched teams; congratulations to the Badgers. My Hawkeyes just can't seem to win a big one.

Strange to think of Wisconsin-Iowa as a Big Game; when I went to Iowa, seeing the Hawkeyes on your schedule was like getting a bye week. Wisconsin wasn't a lot better, but probably did win more than the dozen or so games Iowa won during my school days.

"The trick here is to develop an interest where a win makes you feel good for longer than a loss makes you feel bad."

Ah yes! Tricks in the GAME of life, too! We all have them, and I suspect, we are always changing them up to find our personal, "winning" combination.

Here's the thing...As I enter the autumn of my own life, I wonder more and more about why so many seen to prefer studies in black and white?

Life isn't a game of winners and losers, or men and women with black hats or white hats. Instead it is an "experience" made all the richer by at least attempting to understand what we call the FULL SPECTRUM of colors.

It is no wonder that Althouse's "color study" is so limited today. She's lost her mind, and has taken up reporting on SPORTS for cripes sake! Politics is bad enough!

RH, that's not a ball, it's a powder puff.

Much Ado About Nothing

This was a clash of Big 10 "titans" who will lose their respective bowl games against teams from real conferences. But...the kool aid @ Big 10 games is soooo tasty!
