Did the Washington Post die?

I keep getting blank pages when I try to go there. Did Richard Cohen, biking with earbuds plugging his ears and Neil Young's "Ohio" misting up his eyes, hit a bump and wreck the whole operation or something?

Looks fine to me too here in the greater Chicago-Milwaukee metroplex.

This has been going on for a couple days and happens in both Safari and Firefox.

After a long wait, it came up in Firefox. Still waiting in Safari.

Maybe there was a fine print clause in the Newsweek sales contract that contained a covenant not to compete with Newsweek. I blame nearsighted lawyers. Or Christine O'Donnell's witch craft may actually be working. Didn't she say that she is the Washington Post?

They may have been upgrading the site and hadn't put in the browser sniffing necessary for Safari and Firefox yet. A lot of websites are written primarily for IE and may have to have extra code for other browsers.

Chrome is faster than Firefox and IE, don't know about Safari. I log on to the Washington Post every day. I did not see anything wrong yesterday or today. Use Chrome.
