Is your law school as good as Marquette?
We're judging you by your commercials now. Are we doing commercials?
(The hyper-glamorous building in the ad cost $85 million.)

More effective: Show hot coeds at a kegger party. The attraction of college is the extended adolescence. Decades later, it's still the part I miss the most, and the only reason I would want to do it again.
With this edifice, a Catholic heritage, and a MLB team, what more can you want. The Sports Law program is up to date for a great Sports Agent's career. But where is the 6 months of snowed in winter in this video? Not that there is anything wrong with Wisconsin in the winter. And the "Skip the Wisconsin Bar Exam" perk should attract many students as well.
Helicopter shots! Full orchestra scores! This *is* a good law school.
Ground-level shots of the Marquette Neighborhood are noticeably missing.
Awful music. The Pachelbel family must still own the extended copyright on canon in D, and who can afford the fees.
@rhhardin
I wondered about the same thing. Why a cheap knockoff of something in the public domain?
I guess they have to sell it on the new building, which is pretty impressive as you drive by in on the I43 ramp to 794, but not so much so, over all (according to this review ).
And to echo MM, be careful not to wonder too far off campus.
No air conditioning system in the world would be able to keep up with the radiant heat produced by the sun if this were in Texas. I'm sweating just looking at that library!
My law school had nice buildings but not as nice as these. But we had to pass the bar exam. :)
wv: brogr, or how the Japanese post their opinions on websites.
I don't know a single Marquette alum who believes they got their money's worth...it's pretty much the worst law school bang for your buck out there.
To those outside Wisconsin, there are 2 law schools in this state; the U. of Wi. and Marquette. If you graduate from either, you are NOT required to take the bar exam. So, what we have is the biggest circle jerk in the legal world. And, w/ all of that extra time on their hands, UW and Marquette grads snipe @ each other like old ladies playing canasta. I move that this post be marked as exhibit A.

Only $85 million? Geez, that's like ghetto or something. Let me know when College Law schools catch up with High School Art schools.
The Marquette Library has JRR Tolkien's original manuscripts.
wv: sivath (Saurman's pet - like Chris Coons is Harry Reid's pet...)
2nd wv because I didn't enter it correctly: toplai
National Sports Law? Please do not explain.
At least Althouse is at the forty third best school in the world.

Better make a prompt review of who your friends are, KL. Bunch of whiners.
The Eckstein's dropped some large coinage on that deal. IIRC, the largest donor to the University of Wisconsin Law school was a mere $250K. We need some really filthy rich alumnus to donate...wait a minute, first we need some alumnus to become really filthy rich...then...
Way better. We have a football team. The Golden Avalanche have not suited up since 1960.
Of course, if you wanted to impress real law students, you'd show pictures of a cappuccino machine in every library carrel (that's where to spend the money!).
My son was accepted to Marquette and flew to the orientation last spring from Northern California. He watched the promo here and sent me a message: "They should have spent some of that money from the commercial on their orientation. It was terrible. No one sounded excited about going to school there or the opportunities the school offered."
He ended up in LA at a law school where the deans, profs, current students and alums showed up to talk about how great the school is. It made all the difference to him.
What a musical score! I thought they were building up to something really earth-shattering, like getting a job. It must be the important regional initiatives in Milwaukee that warrant such drama.
