That's definitely cute. However, considering that Althouse is in the education field, maybe she might consider it a more valuable public service to point out what else Reid is involved in.
It's interesting to see who's on which side. Drudge had that as his flash yesterday, and Malkin also discussed it (and how she, like me, has been advocating against that bill for years). Yet, others are mostly silent. Other r/w bloggers and the "true conservative" "patriots" in the teaparties have barely said a peep; apparently they don't want to anger Mr. Armey.
P.S. Since this comment contains a criticism of the 'partiers, expect them to respond as they always do: by lying and smearing. Take a look at the link above and you'll see my record of opposing an amnesty that those like the 'partiers mostly ignore. Whose side are they on?
Harry Reid will be continue to be a great majority leader. Nancy Pelosi will continue to be a great Speaker. And, Obama and Biden will continue their good work; easy victory for them in 2010 and 2012.
The chess favors the Democratic Party. GOP and Tea Party are getting high on small pieces. We focus on the end game. If there is any doubt, then just see the DE and NY primaries. The election favors the Democrats.
As I said before, Tuesday after Labor Day, everything changed. Now, you know what I was working all along. We win. Victory is at hand.
Doesn't this remark demonstrate just what's wrong with the ruling elite? It's not about what the people want... it's about who's grooming whom to rule.
I'm pretty sure the good people of Delaware have something to say about who their next senator is, but I could be wrong...
Save for Marxist Yalie Chris Coons, NO ONE is happier about this than once and future Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.
O'Donnell is his second big Palinista gift, after the erratic Sharron Angle. Now he not only comes back from "dead man walking" because he is facing a half-crazy woman in Nevada...he gets to keep the Senate and control of all Senate Committees because an unelectable angry dingbat is running in a blue state that was ready to go purple, but not Alabama Crimson Tide red.
"traditionalguy said... Reid must like O'Donnell. He just gave her the election. Lose lips sink ships for pets of Harry Reid. Wow, that was dumb."
Yep, 1st the Goddess of the Religious Right's endorsement makes O'Donnell electable, and now Harry Reid's embrace is supposed to ALSO guarantee Senator O'Donnell?
My pet is a Beagle-Collie mix. Gentle, sweet, energetic, beautiful, with a decisive bark nevertheless. She has no ambition for public office. The say in Washington if you want a friend get a dog. My dog would probably befriend even Harry Reid.
Do you suppose Harry likes dogs?
Somehow I don't think he would comprehend the dog Karma.
Karl Rove went on Hannity and van Susteren last night and lambasted his Republican base in Delaware as a bunch of ungrateful wretches bitterly clinging to their rifles and Bibles, etc., for having had the temerity to vote for Christine O'Donnell after having been clearly told not to do so.
I would say that in terms of damaging their own candidate, it is advantage Rove. It is not for nothing that the Republican Party is known as the stupid party!
Look, people, the election was Castle's to lose, and he lost it.
Except for the people who die in office and a lucky few who retire, every political career ends with a lost election. Castle is, what, 70 years old? Isn't it time for him to grow up?
I've said on an earlier thread, if the republivan establishment wanted a better candidate than Ms. O'Donnell, they should have done better than Mike Castle. If he was the best they could come up with they deserve to lose.
Unfortunately, politics just doesn't attract many decent reasonable people on either side.
That said, O'Donnell's, and other Tea Party candidates' brand of unreasonableness, is much more likely to be moderated by the system than is the liberals'; as is clearly seen by the last half century. Independents need to see that for their own good.

Reid is pushing a bill that lets illegal aliens take college educations away from Americans. Anyone who votes for it is putting the interests of foreign citizens ahead of U.S. citizens.

Here's what came to my mind when I heard, "He's my pet."

O, who can ever gaze their fill of Cat Power
Harry Reid's very own Abominable Snow Rabbit. Does he call him George?
Perhaps we should keep Harry Reid around, for moments like this?
Nahhh.

Don't count your Harry Reid Chicks before they are hatched.
Mike Castle can explain.

@Lonewacko, your postscript is a bit unfair. I, for one, wasn't aware of the bill you reference. Thank you for your information.
Another reason to send money to Angle!

Looks like I'm not the only one to note that Castle blew it. Here's the evaluation from Fred Barnes.
I just came here to say the Honeydrippers are pretty awesome.
Almost (almost!) makes you sorry Robert Plant spent all that time singing hard rock.
