"Weigel v. Kaus Detwitterfied."
When something interesting happened on Twitter, can you save it from oblivion? Mickey Kaus tries, but it's a tedious tangle of terseness. Twitter is the Memory Hole and you don't want to stick your arm down there.

I don't have anything to say about this. I just felt kind of bad that this post has been up for all this time and no one has commented on it. I guess this lack of commentary sort of reflects the amount of interest that California voters had in Mickey Kaus.
What it is is the fight between the older/middle-aged and younger wings of Democrat-leaning public intellectuals/journalists. As is shown by Kaus always calling Ezra Klein and his ilk young whippersnappers.
If the Dems get teamed this fall, Kaus will gleefully say, "I told you so."
Althouse, what if you started drawing cartoons of blogosphere events, such as the Kaus/Weigel Twittersnit? Key being, don't take sides, but make them look equally, what, silly? Maybe a kind of Catch-22-esque view of the blogosphere's big-frog-in-a-small-pond influence on current events.
Disclaimer: I adore Mickey.
This is a good illustration of the underlying insipidness of Twitter. Both of them are very smart people and good writers, yet Twitter turns the expression of their ideas into mush.
