Spare an invisible tear, perhaps, for the death of a mime.

Lorene Yarnell, of Shields and Yarnell, has died at the age of 66.

Here's the marionette routine. And here they are as street performers in 1973.

I suppose this would be an inappropriate time to do the "a mime is a terrible thing to waste" joke.

I have to say for a mime she had a really great rack.

I must admit I've always been curious about what happens when you put a mime in a real box.

When a mime dies, I always imagine all the other mimes joining together and remembering them by singing, shouting, laughing and blowing vuvuzelas in a brief moment of noise.
