A second night at the Scenic Overlook Café...

... you need to be careful you're not tricked into wasting your time.

(That was the view we got when we pulled over at the blue "scenic overlook" sign I showed you last night.)

Without some sort of topographic variation it's all pretty pointless, isn't it?

P.S. I'm going to show you how almost all tea partiers are stupid, vile liars. Hold on for a sec...

"... you need to be careful you're not tricked into wasting your time."

And you need to be especially careful you're not tricked into buying a beautiful print.

Palladian म्हणाले...

Maybe I need to adopt the lonewacko approach to link-whoring....

I'm going to show you how almost all people who don't buy my beautiful prints are stupid, vile liars!

Hmm, I prefer the soft-sell.

Sorry, I cannot think of anything sufficiently pompous to say.

We just returned from a week in scenic-overlook land. For many years, Mr. Irene and I thought we would retire there. Fat chance.

After our Saturday evening walk with the poodles through the tranquil woods, we returned to the cottage and noticed that one of the boys was showing some peculiar symptoms. When we called the local vet, she explained that her clinic was closed, but added that the dog's symptoms sounded severe. She directed us to drive to the nearest emergency vet. We made the *ninety-two mile* trip to Green Bay.

The scenic drive took us to an animal hospital in the shadows of Lambeau Field. It's a good thing we made the trip: the bambolino was in anaphylaxis. The cause appears to have been a bug bite.

The dog is fine.

We are happily back home within an eight-mile drive to an animal clinic. We are also glad to be twenty minutes away from a top human hospital.

Lake Superior, east of Ashland on US-2.... heading towards the UP. Beautiful country in the fall and winter.

This would be a cool destination too: linkage.

Does anyone ever follow Wacko's links? I'm just curious.

Palladian म्हणाले...

The Googlebot probably follows them. That bot will follow anything.

Revenant म्हणाले...

I know the Googlebot follows them, that's why he posts his links all over the place. I was just wondering if any human beings ever follow them.

Mr. Irene????

And The Blonde gives me a dirty look when I call her, Goldenrod.

PS Glad the pup is OK.

Out here you can see a lot farther without so many trees to spoil the view.

edutcher, ssh!!

Pogo: For the record, I really liked what you said in that other thread. I'm from Michigan and I knew exactly what you were talking about and it made me feel at home. So thanks.

I did once. It was like paying to see the scallop boat museum in Digby, Nova Scotia. You're pretty sure up front it won't be worth the time and effort, and then it turns out to be worse than expected, and also apparently inhabited by a vagabond.

Oops! Looks like I forgot to come back with even more proof that almost all tea partiers are stupid, vile liars (other than the 125 posts at the link).

Thankfully, some of Althouse's readers provided the evidence I simply forgot to provide.

P.P.S. Compare the coverage I offer to what 'partiers and bloggers do, and you'll see why I call them stupid.

It appears the entity responsible for placing the sign overlooked the lack of scenery.

dbp म्हणाले...

Or maybe the trees grew-up and blocked the view sometime after the scenic overlook had been established.
