"Rosie O'Donnell Reveals Motivation Behind Her Own Lesbian Wedding."

Memeorandum features this purported revelation from Brian Maloney.

Oh, spare me. Rosie was utterly clear at the time, as I blogged on February 27, 20042004!
"Vile and vicious and hateful." Rosie O'Donnell gives this reason for going to San Francisco to marry her female partner:
"We were both just trying to come here after the sitting president said the vile and vicious and hateful comments he did on Tuesday and inspired myself and my brand-new wife to fly here this morning."
Quite aside from how it sounds to cite hostility to President Bush as your reason to marry or, more specifically, whether the gay marriage cause is helped by presenting it as a political protest, is it really necessary to tar supporters of the Federal Marriage Amendment this way? It was only two years ago that O'Donnell first publicly said that she was gay. How fast can you expect social progress to take place? Only last summer, the Supreme Court withdrew the power to make homosexual sodomy a crime, and now, already, we are asked to think people are "vile and vicious and hateful" because they want to restrict marriage to different sex couples?...

Supporters of gay marriage would do well to show some understanding for the feelings and beliefs of the people they are trying to persuade. The sense of alarm about the proposed amendment is understandable, though unwarranted, but it is counterproductive to become overheated and engage in this kind of inflammatory rhetoric. The light of reason is on your side: why act as if you don't think it is?
By the same token, if you opponents of same-sex marriage believe the light of reason is on your side, why don't you act as if you think it is and leave Rosie O'Donnell out of it.

Palladian,

I agree. Remove the state and all the privileges that the state gives married people and we'd be better off. Until this happens, let gay people marry.

HT,

Thank you. For being thoughtful. I still do have PTSD (nightmares, anxiety around NewAge and NewAgers, the whole bit) but it's subsiding, bit by bit.

Here's the Cliff's Notes version of my life since 2005:

The French "doctor" treated my sick mother-in-law for an illness, and she died in excruciating pain. He also crossed professional boundaries and used the drama of that scenario as a bonding experience with my wife, while turning her on to various cult leaders and beliefs. Mind you, my wife was already a NewAger, so, under the circumstances, his modus operandi was easier than one would suspect.

When I discovered my wife's adultery, I divorced her - not the other way around, as some of my detractors have implied - and, unfortunately, not before she ran off to France (out of American jurisdiction) with all of our money. During the divorce, I found my wife's diaries and a large collection of cassette tapes, detailing her 20 year involvement with various cults and cultists. I looked up the ones I could on Google and was introduced to the world of quacks, con men, child abusers, wife beaters, psychics, gay gurus, and the other deviants she had been associated with. I also discovered the "doctor" was a homeopath and what homeopathy was - water given to the ill as medicine.

I suspected foul play and tried to convince everyone - here and in France - it was worth investigating, but no one in San Francisco or France believed me, giving me answers based in feminism, NewAge thought, misandry, gay pride, and race. I thought I had entered The Twilight Zone. Eventually I found myself defeated, mentally and emotionally, and (after a brief stint of homelessness) went into seclusion for about two years, trusting few.

Then, one day, I was contacted by the medical authorities in France, asking if I had once tried to alert them to medical malpractice involving the "doctor'. They asked me to send any evidence I had collected. Assured I was the whistleblower, they told me the "doctor" had killed two others - with my ex-wife working as his accomplice.

Needless to say, the effect of all this on my music career - after being in 1 iconic San Francisco band and 4 other successful ones, modeling for BofA, selling music for children's TV shows, etc. - was devastating. Basically, I was abandoned and treated as an insane outcast (How dare I question, or make charges against, the spiritual and political foundation of so many I had worked with?) Looking back, I realized I'd always been a lone conservative, living and working in their liberal "scene", and quickly evolved into an absolutist determined to fight that which (and those who) had exploited my (considerable) talents for the advancement of their own beliefs.

The fight's been "on" ever since, with me working to get mentally and financially equipped so I can return to the stage and studio - the only places where I know the cultural revenge I seek is possible.

Hope that helps - and thanks, again, for not treating the most shockingly devastating portion of my life in a flippant manner.

Some dickweed going by the incredibly witty name "hombre" wrote this drivel:

Silly Texas. Failing to see the value to its citizens of embracing sodomy.

To which I can only respond:

Silly America! Failing to see the value to its citizens of forcing the government in your ass. Failing to protect the sanctity of the gay man's butthole!

Surely Texas is a wise, wise place to have pushed anti-sodomy laws as far as it did.

And let's nevermind the libelous conflation of keeping the government where it belongs (i.e. out of your ass) with "embracing sodomy". But I guess some people don't have a problem floating such blatant lies and distortions as that one.

If "hombre" is representin' Texas tonight, he's not making it look like it cares much for honesty. But that's to be expected.

HT,

Re-reading what I had written, I've realized I left out something:

The "doctor's" medical practice has been shut down. There has been talk of criminal charges but I've heard nothing else since.

Also, I have moved far away from those who wish to do me, and my campaign, harm - my blog has been sabotaged, twice, by "friends" wishing to protect NewAge interests from me. If this sounds far-fetched, you have to understand I was a very persuasive entertainer in the liberal world, and the idea of me on the other side makes many people nervous. (For instance, one writer was told, by a SONY executive, if he ever writes about me again, he'll never receive more material from their label.)

I have a 13 minute rough cut of me performing live before an audience, which I will gladly send to anyone interested. Because of it's size, it gets bounced back from many people's e-mail boxes, but, if you send me your address, I will try so you can hear what they're afraid of. I write all of my own material and, honestly, the effect I have on an unsuspecting crowd is beyond merely "good":

When I get warmed up, I'm capable of starting riots - or spreading love - the choice is mine.

Just so you know:

I'm having a long talk with myself about what living with PTSD has done, and is doing, to me - and what I can do to get over it. I feel stupid saying too much about it, so I won't (which is probably a change in itself) but - as someone who thinks so highly of dealing with reality - it's probably time I did so in this regard.

Take care,

CMC

O-o-o-o, Ritmo. Did I touch another nerve?

But I guess some people don't have a problem floating such blatant lies and distortions as that one.

Oh, but never mind your tarring Texas with the bigot bumpkin brush for having anti-sodomy laws common to a dozen or more states and sanctioned by the SCOTUS until 2003, you predictably hypocritical featherweight.

Ritmo Re-Animated म्हणाले...

I'll gladly tar any other state stupid enough to have pursued the enforcement of such a ludicrous law all the way to SCOTUS with that same brush, and proudly so, bumble-fuck! But since your home state was the only one stupid enough to do so, and therefore become the laughing stock of the nation with its BUTTHOLE POLICE BRIGADES, I have no problem pointing out THAT EMBARRASSING FACT!!!

Texas holds on to bad and tyrannical ideas like dingleberries do to a shitkicker's asshole.

I find that the perfect nickname for home-bray-ay-ay is "Dingleberry Tumbleweed". Holding on to the defense of bad ideas like a partial turd to anal shrubbery, when they should have blown away like the tumbleweeds, and did most everywhere else.

I guess some people are so lacking in substance that they find feces an appealing way to give them form.

Bye-bye Dingleberry Tex. Tumor of the Tumbleweeds! Sorry that investigating people's buttholes doesn't have the same appeal to everyone else that it does for you!

He's the Police Chief of Proctology!

Yeah, I'm listening now - on something I found on myspace. It's good - we men now. Really, if I had to say, I'd really be dying to get his more when I was back in my early 30s and such, but it's listenable for sure! I like it. And I'd prefer to go out and buy the CD somewhere should any ever be sold. Thank you for the offer though. That is very nice.

You know we love you, Crack. We wish you the best.

The Crack Emcee म्हणाले...

Thank you, Ann. I'm taking some (probably much-needed) time away from the internet. I'll still lurk here from time-to-time but that'll be all for a while. Keep up the good work.

HT,

If you want to hear some of the material I was referring to - not live but from the studio - go hear the Rock 'N' Roll I do under the name Little White Radio. The two tracks there don't represent what happens at a show but, since you did hear the Rap stuff, it will show you a versatility of styles.

wv - "culte": I can't catch a break, I tell ya.

Thanks. I will. Take care.
