Glad you featured those tiny orange red ones.

Is Meade a shroomer? Did you have a little book with you to identify them? Or were you going to use your pictures when you back to the mac?

Venice grants a license to its first female gondolier!

This news is only tangential to the mushroom theme of this post. The gondoliera's surname is, however, "Boscolo," which derives from the Italian word for forest, "bosco."

*sweet*

Mushrooms are awesome. I love them in my udon, shitake to be exact. That isn't however to say that the awesomeness of fungi in general is a very very cool thing. If I remember right, the biggest organism in the world is fungi. I just forget where. I'll have to look it up.

Thank you for using the feminine, 'gondoliera'. One of the worst manifestations of feminism is unisex nouns (Meryl Streep is an 'actor'? - Nope, don't think so).

Women should be proud of being women.

The white ones that look like coral are edible and pretty good tasting.
