And, he starred in the movie of the same name.

Charges of racism against whites are now automatically taken to be bogus.

Charges of racism against African-Americans are increasingly seen as edgy, emergent, interesting, and likely to be true.

We may be on the verge of beginning to talk differently about skin color.

We may be on the verge of discarding affirmative-action-thinking.

The title of this post is pretty much obsolete by universal acclaim.

I've often thought that ever since about 2005 I've been living in a cartoon. Nice to see confirmation.

lucid - keep dreaming. All that needs to happen for a white man to lose his job is a flippant accusation of racism. Nothing has changed because corporate HR departments are staffed with the clipped-hair, mean-faced butch lesbian commie types.

Alex,

Or, if you're a black guy who doesn't buy into the bullshit, a charge of sexual harrassment works pretty well, too. (It's never stuck, but has resulted in the loss of two positions.) And, yea, the HR Dept. head was just as you've described, every time.

Crack - I nod my head to your shared suffering.

I must not watch enough Sunday morning political talk shows. I could only identify 8 or 9 of the talking heads.

AllenS म्हणाले...

All these talking heads. Unfortunately, nobody quits when they're/their ahead/a head.

It wil not matter. GOP has no leadership, as mentioned before. Newt is a dinosaur. Palin is about to become extinct. Why cannot GOP focus on nurturing leaders is so beyond me that I cannot understand? Is it because GOP has something against evolution?

What happened to you vlogs Helen?

This was an opportunity for us to size you up, judge you, want you even more and cheer you on.

Now get onto the Vlog pronto Miss Ritchfield 1981!

And where did all the fags go? I thought you were our Bette, LIza, Cher, Madonna of the blogging world.

We need our gals

BTW the rare clumbers are snoring big time and I love that. Their entire bods move around as they are sleeping. Is there anything cuter? I think not.

Titus म्हणाले...

I have not jerked off in over a week and my Indian UK husband and I did not do any jerky jerky this weekend.

Does sex subside over a certain time period?

I am fine with it. My libido has really lowered over the past few months.

How often do yo oldies, social security people (commies) get it up?

Also, I blow my nose with any available tshirt. Is that wrong/

The old saying in politics is that the only two ways a politician can get a result he wants from someone is by making them love him, or by making them fear him, and fear works nearly all the time while love is fickle.

Don't hold your breath.

Actually, do. You will turn purple and your kid will have a leg up at Harvard.

Titus म्हणाले...

Do you guys like Fennel,

Meade म्हणाले...

Titus,

One does not need to be a commie oldie on social security to know that libido only increases with age. If you experience a loss of libido as you age (or an erection that does not last for at least 4 hours), check with your physician, primary health care provider, or Barack Obama - whichever one you most consider to be your "doctor."

I'm still waiting for hdhouse to provide an example of an Althouse commenter quoting Michael Savage.

With Kagan, we have Newt and Toad.

Crackskull Bob is a lefty but also a very funny man. Kind of like my brother. Lefties can have a sense of humor.

If you want to see why I don't listen the Sunday talk shows anymore (you do, don't you?), read Crackskull Bob. He has it in sharp focus.

Palladian does not draw better. He just draws different.

Hows that for non-judgmental?

Opus One Media म्हणाले...

@braindead...do your own search, michael savage, althouse...see what pops up...

what an idiot (take your pick..you or him)

@HD:
I'll use a legal term, since this is (sometimes) a legal blog. Objection, lack of foundation.

You brought up Savage. Point to where people quote Savage on this blog.

I previously mentioned (responding to you) that if saying Sarah Palin isn't an idiot means you're quoting Savage, then David Broder is quoting Savage too.

Brian म्हणाले...

Back on topic: I watched Tim Geithner on Meet the Press. While talking about finance reform, to avoid another financial meltdown like in 2008, he specifically brought up Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, saying they will change from their current form. And he specifically mentioned having to rethink the federal policy of guaranteeing home loans to people who can't afford a house to begin with.

I thought that was only a small fraction of the original problem. Cause I heard it here.
