At the Hydrangea Café...

... I once read a description of hydrangeas as "bosomy." I never forgot that.

Yeah, but just try to change your boobs from pink to blue by adding aluminum.

Getting really fatigued by the stupid tribalism in political arguments. The first question I ask myself is "Would I feel the same if the other side did the same shit?" I don't know why people are immune to this Golden Rule approach to contentious matters. It really opens your eyes when you see people defending really stupid shit and the only explanation for it is that they're going defend their side.

The biggest laugh for me this week was when Garage Mahal criticized right-wingers for making the "General Betrayus" ad. You could almost imagine the little gears clicking in his head as the little tribal figures pulled levers and tried to determine "Petraeus, is he good or bad now? Oh, he's good because Obama picked him to save the Afghan war. Wasn't there some nasty ad against him? Was it the liberals? No, couldn't be because Petraeus is good and liberals are good. Conservatives are bad, thus they must have attacked our good general."

The other episode that kills me is the Weigel resignation. The liberals here must be straining themselves terribly trying to defend him. I keep asking "What if it were a conservative listserv that tried to manipulate the framing of stories?" But I get no response. I wonder why that is.

Blue@9: the vast majority of those who comment online are partisan, with most being strong partisan hacks.

But, sometimes that partisanship shows itself through ideology rather than party, which brings us to: Glenn Reynolds still promoting bad, dangerous, anti-American policies.

Hah! Wack calls everybody else "strong partisan hacks". I love it.

Never thought of hydrangeas as bosomy (although that shot puts me in mind of my aunt's house in North Jersey), but the next time Ann says, "Let's take a closer look at those breasts", I'll be ready for the horticultural as well as the mammalial.

That is so true. My hydrangas need to wear bras to keep from drooping. But the many breasted hydrangas are more like Artemis.

Did you know that if you put iron nails in the ground near their roots, the flowers turn purple-pink?

edutcher: thank you for yet again demonstrating just how dumb the tea partiers are. That's really, really dumb. In fact, Georg Cantor is probably even now assigning a "number" to express just how dumb they are.

BTW: can you provide even one example of me being a partisan hack? Surely, if you make a comment like that, you must have evidence to back it up, right? Oops: I forgot: facts and evidence don't matter to teapartiers.

In old movies, you see a lot of gowns that look like they have two hydrangea blossoms on the front. Now they just get implants.

Coincidentally, PBS had Miss Marple's Blue Geranium story tonight, in which the pink flower turned blue, thanks to a basic vapor.

LW,

Why the double post?

Wow, that's some fantastically retarded shit you're reading these days. You didn't write that, did you?
