"... former Bush White House weasel Karl Rove; former presidential hopeful and Law & Order star Fred Thompson; former Kansas City Royals slugger George Brett; Fox News talker Sean Hannity; former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani; New England Patriots owner Bob Kraft; former Clinton White House weasel James Carville and his wife, GOP analyst Mary Matalin; and golfer Tom Watson, among others."
Aw, come on! You reused "weasel." Can't you think of some other loathsome animal?

Limbaugh's wife is a luuuuuucky gurl!
One more and he's an ace!
The first name of the guy who wrote this is "Jose"?
What kind of a homo name is "Jose"?
Limbaugh, Rove, Gingrich, Fred Thompson, Guiliani - that's over 12 traditional marriages between them.
"Can't you think of some other loathsome animal?"
Badger?
(kidding)
Jackal and Hyena are possibles :)
if you want to go avian, try buzzard, crow, cuckoo and vulture
Fish, go for shark, piranha, barracuda, or eel
insects? cockroach and maggot are nice :)
Using the same term shows even-handedness, and prevents letters and emails from outraged partisans claiming that the animal used to describe their former White House aide is more loathsome than the one used to describe the other former White House aide.
The axis of weasels!
C4 is busy trying to figure how many Joos were at the wedding.
I blame Bush.
I'm not sure why, but I was surprised to find out that Elton John was going to perform at the wedding.
I was surprised to read that Carville was there, given the times that Rush bashes him.
Ferret? Or is that just another name for weasel?
Wolverine might be a better representative of the weasel in this case.
Some people bring to mind certain animals, and I think the writer should be more discerning about which animal fits his subject. Neither Karl Rove nor James Carville is weasel-like. Dick Morris is a weasel. Totally. Carville is (as has been universally agreed) a snake-like being. Karl Rove is sort of like Elmer Fudd or the Pillsbury Doughboy. As an animal, maybe a groundhog.
I saw Mary Matalin on TV and it's scary, she's beginning to resemble her husband.
AllenS,
It's D-Day, June 6th. Time to raise a glass to the men of Omaha and in particular the boys of Bedford, A/116th Inf, Virginia NG. They were the only company in the 1st wave that landed on target. Everybody else drifted left. as a result, they got the undivided attention of a wide German sector. Not many lived through the day. Both the strength and the weakness of the NG system is that the tightness of the units gives them a resilence to casualties, but makes the aftermath brutal back in the little towns in the heartland.
This was the beach where Tom Hanks landed in "Saving Private Ryan", however the reality was that the 2nd Ranger landings there were in the second wave, behind A/116th. It was A/116th there, wearing those Blue/Gray shoulder patches.
2nd Rangers were also scaling the cliffs of Pointe du Hoc, but that is a different, more visible bit of heroism.
Here's to A/116th
Absent Companions!
Allens:
I read a great book called "The Bedford Boys"? about how that one Virginia town lost 30? or more soldiers on D-Day.
My old battalion the 325th (regiment at the time) of the 82nd Abn. Div., on 7 June 1944, D-Day plus one, landed by glider in Normandy and participated in the invasion of France.
And here is the same basic paragraph, from 'People' magazine:
Amid dozens of giant bouquets of white roses, reports the Palm Beach Post, guests at the wedding included former Bush adviser Karl Rove; actor-politician Fred Thompson; former Kansas City Royals slugger George Brett; Fox News commentator Sean Hannity; former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani; New England Patriots owner Bob Kraft; former Clinton adviser James Carville and his wife, GOP analyst Mary Matalin; and golfer Tom Watson, among others.
Also appearing in USA Today, etc etc.
I guess using "weasels" makes it unique.
Speaking of oft considered loathsome animals, last evening I watched The Fantastic Mr. Fox. I like it... but it was definitely an unusual movie.
Does make me wonder who might best be considered the opossum these days.
Given the politics, I was surprised by this name.
Later tonight, rock superstar Elton John was expected to serenade the lovebirds.
"Can't you think of some other loathsome animal?"
Gerbil?
I've always thought people who write like that would be improved vastly by a smack in the mouth once a day.
No fan of Carville, but Paul is right.

Agreed, Sergeant. Cornelius Ryan gave them special attention in "The Longest Day" for that reason.
Regarding the Ranger landings, C/ 2nd Ranger landed at Pointe de la Percee at the edge of Dog Green and the rest of the 2nd went in with the 5th Rangers at Dog White - a relatively quiet sector.
The use of weasel for Rove and Carville was to show the author was being fair and balanced.
And weasels are not loathsome, they are just relentless voracious little hunters. Who will sometimes engage in a weasel war dance---could you imagine Rove and Carville doing that?
Elton John and Rush Limbaugh were at the same wedding because it was Limbaugh's wedding and he hired the musical performer he wanted and has the money to get. Since when do we care what the wedding singer actually thinks of the groom?
If Limbaugh were a big homophobe, John should have shunned any amount of money, but he's not. He opposes gay marriage just as do any number of people -- eg Obama -- whose parties you'd completely expect John to play at.
And I bet John is attracted to a giant glamorous party. There are probably very few affairs more glamorous than that wedding was.
The use of weasel for Rove and Carville was to show the author was being fair and balanced
Right, we should remember that the Libtard Left must use Tu Quoque to be "fair" and "balanced".
I wouldn't call Rove a 'weasal' - what about 'incompetent RINO who supports open borders and helped destroy Bush's 2nd term and Fannie Mae'?
I was surprised to read that Carville was there, given the times that Rush bashes him.
Considering his own wife called him "Serpenthead" on TV before they married, I think he has a thick skin.
The article said Elton was in the same hotel in Hawaii when Rush got sick.
I was surprised to read that Carville was there, given the times that Rush bashes him.
Doesn't that suggest its all one big schtick, preaching to the "amen" choir for big bucks.
the marketplace of ideas on the Home Shopping Network
I agree with Paul ...."snake " is the appropriate description for Carville...if for no other reason that after all these years, I have yet to see him open his eyes.
The real question is, what kind of snake? My vote would be water moccasin. The Gulf thing.
"Doesn't that suggest its all one big schtick, preaching to the "amen" choir for big bucks."
I agree, Carville has never been very liberal. Marries a Republican, shows up at his friend Rush's wedding.
Might be a 'wrecker' comrade.
Maybe Carville is a mole.
"I was surprised to read that Carville was there, given the times that Rush bashes him."
That just goes to show you -- it's all show biz
Great or very nice posting. Everybody else drifted left. as a result, they got the undivided attention of a wide German sector student aid. Not many lived through the day. Both the strength and the weakness of the NG system is that the tightness of the units gives them a resilence to casualties. The same wedding because it was Limbaugh's wedding and he hired the musical performer he wanted and has the money to get thanks.
On the 26th of May when James Carville said, "We're about to die down here!" do you think he may have been talking about more than an oil spill? Surely if Rush breeds it will be the beginning of the end times.
I could have sworn that I heard Limbaugh once say that he was best man at the Carville-Matalin nuptials.
Rush is a nice person. He gets called names as if he is not nice only because his enemies have no antidote for his intelligence so they try to keep his audience down by putting him under a black cloud of false accusations. That is SOP.
I think its a good reuse of the word because it draws a parallel between the value of the two figures in their respective White Houses.
"Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It's what separates us from the animals... except the weasels."
Rush married a party planner.
Great, the spambots are plagiarizing us now.
That's Mark V Shaney, a program that takes a lot of text and where enough words match will transition from one bit to another at random as it writes it out.
No, he MEANT to do that. Just wanted to show that both sides had their weasels. Fair and balanced.
Remember the weasel gunsels in Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
@Palladian Now I can't delete it.
I catch stuff like that every day. It's been bad the last few days.
Stoat, wolverine, ferret, hyena, skunk, lamprey, rat, vulture, hagfish, Tasmanian devil
The "hoot" here is the caption...Rush and Ms.#n-1 joined together for life....
What life? The half life of plutonium or the expiration date of milk on the store shelf?
What can I say about what is going through the bride's mind "well just a few times and then I'll get a perpetual headache" or Rush's mind "who's next or better yet "do I have to mate within my species".
"former Clinton White House weasel James Carville and his wife, GOP analyst Mary Matalin"
read: former white house advisor James Carville and the inconsequential Mary Matalin
Read: HD House: fucking twit; want to attack Ms Matalin for being a GOP person? Want to attack James Carville for being the ugliest man in the universe? What's your point son?
The Queen: "Aw, come on! You reused 'weasel.' Can't you think of some other loathsome animal?"
That's the best you can do?
Were there any blacks or Latinos attending the fat man's 4th such bash?
The Queen: "If Limbaugh were a big homophobe, John should have shunned any amount of money, but he's not."
Right.
The fat man is a huge supporter of gay causes.
What a joke.
Reminds me of a Simpsons episode. Marge is yelling at Bart for avoiding some responsibility or other. Homer defends Bart, saying "C'mon Marge, weaseling out of things is important to learn. It's what separates us from the animals... except the weasel.
