I wonder what kind of crazy things this building is encouraging in the serial killers and stalkers who see it.

"The building told me to do it!"

lucid म्हणाले...

YIKES!!!

Lem Vibe Bandit म्हणाले...

Oh yes.. you found one of Tiger's safe houses.

Rialby म्हणाले...

Ok. You stumped me. What building is that?

Albatross म्हणाले...

"... and doggone it, people like me!"

Chip Ahoy म्हणाले...

That curious. Today I tried my hand at making gyros. Because I love it so. I feared failure and I did suffer setbacks. The thing is, I do learn from mistakes. Mmmm. Delicious mistakes.

bagoh20 म्हणाले...

That building is all talk and no action.

Unknown म्हणाले...

The first edifice that edifies through aphorisms.

Ahh, How I so miss Waterloo Video.

"Do one thing a day that scares you"?

Sounds like a recipe for life without parole.

अनामित म्हणाले...

Friends with $ are more important than anything.

अनामित म्हणाले...

Annoying, yes.

But no more so than a giant cross or a "Come To Jesus" billboard.

Lem Vibe Bandit म्हणाले...

Encouraging..

A 19 year old girl showed up in Atlanta's audition to be on American Idol.. She sang country.. She sang very well.. I think she might just win.

I know its early, but I'm jumping in the Vanessa van wagon.

I was thinking the "one thing that scares" you thing
might have something to do with the stress related to the 99% of all illnesses.

Freeman Hunt म्हणाले...

I was trying to think of activities that would be scary but also relatively safe to do.

Hold a spider?
Or a cricket? (I hate those things.)
Visit a water park and go down one of those super steep slides?
Get a tongue piercing?
Clipper off all your hair?

Nah. None of that is appealing. I'll have to pass on the advice of this talkative building.

The idea of law school is scary. I was considering doing it long ago, but then one day I smoked a good amount of weed and while high I saw this and I realized that if I became a lawyer, I too would never to be able to find my court.

LonewackoDotCom म्हणाले...

Someone used "country" and "very well" in adjoining sentences.

Meanwhile, a multi-month HuffPost investigation employing dozens of PIs, lawyers, and even spies in a worldwide effort has discovered that Scott Brown's wife made a bikini-clad music video over a quarter century ago. Next up: HuffPost discovers that Republicans have genitalia.

Say, could anyone do me a favor and listen to about 1:48 to 1:53 of that and tell me what it sounds like? I was expecting some other song at that point, but I can't put my finger on it. Phwoar.

LonewackoDotCom म्हणाले...

Some people find climbing - especially rapelling - scary, and it's definitely very safe as long as done with someone experienced. The latter can be done in a you're-on-your-own mode or in a very safe fashion where the person on the ground can stop you if you freak out.

Lem Vibe Bandit म्हणाले...

If not encouraging.. certainly something...

It was known among his fans (metoo) that film maker Jørgen Leth was living in Haiti..

Given the tragedy there I went to his blog and asked about him..

I got an answer.

One a day scares could include talking to strange looking people in line, or in the aisles, at stores. I am always surprised at how many strangers seem to want to speak to me, for just a moment of social interraction. Maybe they are refugees from an isolated life...like internet and TV addicts? Life is good. The son born on my birthday just had his second child tonight at Atlanta's Northside Hospital Womens Center. He told me that more babies are born there every year than at any other facility in the USA. They do it right. She is 6 lbs and 15 oz and a very intelligent looking girl. We socially interracted at a deep level at age 20 minutes. Life is good.

@traditionalguy- Congrats!

Lem Vibe Bandit म्हणाले...

Congratulations Tradguy.

1) The building is telling people to "Do one thing a day that scares you."

2) Fear provably causes stress.

3) The building says "Stress is related to 99% of all illness."

Therefore, the building's slogan-painter is trying to convince people to do something that will, in the belief of the slogan-painter, tend to make people ill.

What an asshole.

rhhardin म्हणाले...

Fortune cookie manufacturer.

kentuckyliz म्हणाले...

What if the building said:

Don't invest too much effort or resources in average people.

Looking Out For Number One

Think Big

I am a Rock
I am an Island

Hell is Other People

Or the outside wall of a bar that said:

Only The Good Die Young

Die Young, Stay Pretty
Live Fast Cuz It Won't Last

Show Me What You're Working Wid

Pants on the Ground
Lookin Like a Foo With Your Pants on the Ground

Eat Drink and Be Merry

KCFleming म्हणाले...

Feel-good aphorisms are pablum for the soul; Babbitt boosterism of the psyche, astrology readings sans zodiac, making the whole world sing in perfect harmony, without Coke.

A building so emblazoned tells me Abandon hope all ye who enter here.

Blessings on the bambino, Tradguy!

Happy Friday, y'allz.

wv: "groofo" -- for some reason, an image of Groucho wearing a full beard came to mind.

Hey TradGuy -- Just read some more of the comments here and saw your lovely news.

Congratulations everyone!

(Did you tell that lovely baby to be sure not to grow up and be a ...

lawyer? ;-) )
