That looks like Martian water to me.

This one is way boring.

If I had the money, I'd send you to Mars to take pics of the fluffy and tree-ridden pink snow.

It's a winterscape. Look again.

In any case, I think I figured out where Massachusettes is. It's one of those 10 new states Barry invented on the campaign trail in '08. One with some of those 440 illusory zip codes where all the stimulus money went.

This is crazy water (and sinusoidal.)

That reflection creates a very complex pattern which my mind automatically makes move. I'm totally spanging over here.

I'm compelled to counteract this psychic disturbance by contriving a dish of shrimp with mango and orange in soothing curried cream. ← possible false cause.

Frost asked

Why make so much of fragmentary blue
In here and there a bird, or butterfly,
Or flower, or wearing-stone, or open eye,
When heaven presents in sheets the solid hue?

Since earth is earth, perhaps, not heaven (as yet)--
Though some savants make earth include the sky;
And blue so far above us comes so high,
It only gives our wish for blue a whet.

Ah, but would you bring her back?

Coakley mocks Fenway Fans, call them idiots.

Scott Brown, however, honors the heroes of Fenway Park and the proud traditions of Boston Sports.

Here's a satire I wrote. Some might think that's in bad taste, but my goal is to change things for the better and alert the non-sociopathic tea partiers to the types of people they're involved with and to lessen the ability of those sociopaths to do damage.

And, in case you think it's too over-the-top, it's based on an actual statement the Ayn Rand Institute published after the Asian tsunami.

If the debate was Brown's Reagan moment, was this Maatha's Dixie Chicks moment?

Lonewacko...You ain't wacko on this issue. The refusal to help others in desperate need is a denial of your own humanity. And others are watching that. The Judeo-Christian tradition is that such aid is a loan to God, and God pays it back with high interest.

Dude! No one else can blog on things like Althouse blogs about. She's a national treasure.

A quick stop-by:

Ann, a sincere if belated "Happy Birthday" to you, and...

...Althouse, a sincere though early "Happy Blogiversary" to both blogger and blog.

I can't be around just now as I haven't been recently due to the same situation, but I do want you to know I didn't forget, and haven't forgotten, those January markers.

Take care, you and yours, and may you have many more of both,

--RIA
