It "appears to be 21 year old Rose Schlossberg, the daughter of Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg and Edwin Schlossberg and granddaughter of former president John Fitzgerald Kennedy."
Obviously, someone in the crowd must have said something to her. What do you think it could have been? Is there anything that could have been said that, in your opinion, would justify her response? Your guesses will be more amusing if they're pro-Teddy.
Maybe she's just giving death the finger. You know, there's laughing at death. I'm thinking of giving death the finger.

Perhaps a great new Blog title: "Giving Death the finger from Madison, Wisconsin". The Schlossberg younster probably saw a NY politician that failed to support her Mom's bid last year.
So happy to see she is living up to Kennedy standards.
The Kennedys never had class. But they at least had glamour and the veneer of class. The current generation apparently doesn't even have that.
It does sort of sum up your typical under 25 nitwit liberal. The Kennedys if nothing else always adjust their standards lower to meet the times.
Someone probably asked her if Teddy was driving....
I think its obvious; she saw the FOX NEWS sign and thought she was being dry and witty; not crass.
She'll make a great appointed Senator one day- she is already clueless.
WV- pronerat- Damn; ANOTHER Teddy reference.
She must have seen a sign asking someone to pay Teddy's bar tab.
I don't know who she gave the finger to, but she seemed to be applauding her boldness in doing so.
I'm going with An Edjjjmm...hmm Redneck. It sure looks like she was flipping off the FOX camera. And then clapped with glee at the opportunity to show off her liberal bona fides.
Why, young Rose is clearly as sharp and smart as her mother Caroline. Um.
I disagree.
I think the clapping was a sort of involuntary attempt to mask the deed.
She should have been more subtle- then people could debate whether it really happened or not.
Anyone have a count of how many of Ted Kennedy's nieces and nephews have had serious substance abuse problems? Perhaps due to his setting such a poor example to two sets of fatherless kids.
"Anyone have a count of how many of Ted Kennedy's nieces and nephews have had serious substance abuse problems? Perhaps due to his setting such a poor example to two sets of fatherless kids."
To be fair, I think having Ethel for a mother had more to do with that than anything. All of the problems you speak of have been with RFK's kids. JFK's kids have been okay
why am I not surprised?
I usually don't pay too much attention to YouTube comments, but I do like this one:
"Wonder where that finger's been"
"Don't let it be forgot,
that once there was a spot,
for one brief shining moment
that was known as Camelot."
"JFK's kids have been okay"
Except for the serial bar-failing and slight problem with IFR (instrument light rules).
And just generally being idiots who think that all the rules are made for other people, including, apparently, the laws of physics.
Someone probably told her that Mr. Rogers was being taken off the air. I myself am filled with a very un-Fred Rogers-like rage over this miscarriage of educational programming.
Our local PBS affiliate took the show off the schedule as of today. Fury. Fury. Fury.
"Don't let it be forgot,

Some Dow Scrubbing Bubbles can take care of that spot.

Well, a lot of people fail the NY Bar. JFK Jr traded on his name to start a magazine. That is a lot better than say Joe, who traded on his name to get a House seat despite the fact that he is dumb as a post.
As far as the plane crash goes, he was nagged into flying by his idiot cokehead wife. While not good, he was certainly not the first man ever to have bad taste in women.
In the end, JFK Jr. seemed like a decent enough guy. He wasn't a criminal and had some self awareness that he didn't deserve all he had. That puts him above pretty much all the rest of the Kennedys.
To the Manor Born but doesn't grasp the role of royalty to the commoners.
In the end, JFK Jr. seemed like a decent enough guy.
I never heard anything bad about JRK Jr... I think for my generation, the whole kennedy thing died with him.
Gah! JFK Jr.
But then a precedent was established with one the Bush girls sticking her tongue out at the press.
A 21 year old who was presumedly well raised (I know that is seriously up for grabs, but she went to Cotillion or somethin' like that, right?) at a funeral procession of her lion of an uncle
should demonstrae better manners, not to mention class.
Sorry, this just reinforces what a dysfuctional family the Kennedys generally were/are/will be until no one on earth cares who their great great great uncle twice removed was. And it gets no one elcected. Ever. (RI anyone? Bizarre.)
W caterfo
The noise the chattering Kennedy lovers make.
Well, a lot of people fail the NY Bar.
Yes, and they are called freaking idiots. A graduate of Brown and NYU Law and it took him three tries to pass? Either a mental midget or such an entitled jerk that he could not be bothered doing the prep work.
Maybe it comes from her partying with Lindsay Lohan.

I'm guessing that finger was meant for the cameras and the Press. You know, the Press that has been unfailingly unfair to the Kennedy family all these years...
I guess it's kind of the same response some celebs have to the paparazzi, that is, until the paparazzi stop chasing you.
IMO, the only thing worse than being a Kennedy is being a Kennedy with a last name other than Kennedy (Skakel, Smith, Schlossberg, etc.)
"But then a precedent was established with one the Bush girls sticking her tongue out at the press."
Not to excuse that behavior, it was certainly childish but giving the finger is vulgar and hostile. And I don't think the Bush kid was at a funeral.
wv: fineto: Finally, for the Kennedys, one can hope.
IM IN UR CAMELOT
FLIPPIN MAI BIRD
Maybe she was good naturedly flipping off a couple young guys who were flirting with her, and wishing the funeral was over so she could get back to acting like a real Kennedy. That leaves a lot to the imagination, or does it?
As far as the plane crash goes, he was nagged into flying by his idiot cokehead wife. While not good, he was certainly not the first man ever to have bad taste in women.
he may have had a cokehead wife, he may have been nagged, but it didnt cause him to preflight the plane holding an opened, though corked bottle of white wine in his hand. He could have filed a flight plan that made longer but safer flight plan over land instead of straight across the sound. And of course he could have called for help when he found himself, a junior VFR pilot, deep into IFR only soup. He became a victom of vertigo, because he had no instrument experience to speak of. Bad judgement seems to run in the family. If only the laws of physics were subject to political influence.
You know, maybe it's just me, but I'm already tired of the Kennedys.
Up and to the right. Up and to the right...up and to the right....up, and to the right.
And so the new political generation begins. Always with a bird and a wink.

A weekend at Teddy's.
I dunno...there's a growing crowd of unproductive coupon clippers trying to suckle at the Kennedy teat...too many people for one trough. They won't be rich forever. Kennedys are officially over.
Fond remembrance: band the Dead Kennedys. They shoulda played at the funeral.
WV saectno
Sect? No. I'm Catholic.
Well I guess that Princess Rose of Kennedy-Schlossberg has a new wave for us all. Very charming but tacky compared to the Windsor wave.
What's she doing wearing white at a funeral? And where's her companion's coat?
portions - Ted got his, we'll all get ours
Classy Rose, pointing a 'fuck you' at the camera for prying into a private family moment; then applauding along with the rest of the crowd in praise of the entertainment value of such a public funeral.
Another crazy showbiz family heard from!
