"She's crushed. Her whole world is shattered."

When you learn, simultaneously, of your husband's affair... and murder.

That lady needed a divorce big time. She is fortunate to be alive herself.

KCFleming म्हणाले...

Beats Mrs. Carradine's discovery.

KCFleming म्हणाले...

Also beats Bernard Boursicot's discovery.

Or that of Billy Tipton's children

MadisonMan म्हणाले...

She probably doesn't feel fortunate *now* -- but in time that might happen.

My own opinion: girlfriend was told the divorce was not happening just before the murder/suicide. I freely admit I have no facts to base this hunch on.

अनामित म्हणाले...

Can you be "dating" someone if you are married to someone else? That seems like quite a euphemism.

Also in the NY Daily News is Mike Lupica's blaming "American gun culture" for the deaths. I'd suspect "Muslim honor killing" instead. In my experience, "casual sex" with an Iranian woman is an oxymoron.

KCFleming म्हणाले...

fls, I agree.

Muslim honor killing AKA suicide by proxy.

SteveR म्हणाले...

In tomorrow's New York Daily News, Mike Lupica blames America's "car culture" for drunk driving deaths.

I feel very sorry for the wife and girlfriend. Well, I feel sorry for any woman who ever knew that POS.

former law student said... In my experience, "casual sex" with an Iranian woman ....

Are you sure you wanted to say that? She probably still has brothers/uncles around.

JAL म्हणाले...

The girlfriend had an ex-boyfriend with a hot temper who knew about McNabb. They argued a lot.

Throws something else into the mix.

Joe म्हणाले...

I agree with MadisonMan.

NotWhoIUsedtoBe म्हणाले...

Girlfriend had just gotten a DUI with McNair in the car. It was going to come out.

The Drill SGT म्हणाले...

FLS, I saw the gun culture story also. Of course more boyfriends die from knives than guns, but who cares, why ruin a good meme when you want to make an anti-gun point.

I'd call it an honor killing in the larger feminine version rather than the smaller Muslim one.

Woman scorned, etc.

Better to ban screwing around on wives than banning guns. The homicide rate would drop faster.

save_the_rustbelt म्हणाले...

Since the cops are not looking for any suspects it is likely the gun shot residue test on the girlfriend's hand was positive, which would rule out a third party.

The poor wife, what a dumptruck load of bad news.

And the kids - good God what a shocker.

.

Not Muslim. From a sect starting in 19th Century Iran that Muslims consider apostates, but which now has many Hindu and Christian converts. Still, the woman was an immigrant from an honor culture with codes of conduct. Lie and mislead such a woman, expect consequences.
And McNair was another oversexed athlete chasing young, white pussy where he could get it - and with money to burn.

1st part of FLS's comment wrong, 2nd part right.

"In an interview, Farzin Abdi, Kazemi's nephew, says the pair had been dating for six months, that McNair gave Kazemi a Cadillac Escalade for her 20th birthday in May and that they had traveled to Key West, Las Vegas, California, Hawaii and McNair's farm in Mississippi.

"We met him because I don't watch football and didn't know who he was," said Abdi, 27, who was in town from Jacksonville, Fla., to retrieve the body. "We went out to dinner and she was so happy and was having fun. Were we happy about the relationship? No."

Kazemi and her family moved to the U.S. in 2002, fleeing Iran to Turkey before settling in Florida, the paper reports. As members of the Baha'i Faith, they were in danger in Iran."

What a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to ejaculate.

RIP, Steve. Your faults and misdeeds weren't capital crimes.

mccullough म्हणाले...

Let's not pretend that McNair is O.J.

He cheated on his wife. That's it. This woman killed him.

Methadras म्हणाले...

Crimso said..."What a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to ejaculate."

And I bet you get in plenty of practice every day, too.

How do you type while practicing?

traditionalguy म्हणाले...

What was that math rule for age differences ? You divide your age in half and shoot them 7 times? No, wait the bullets have to be less than 7 years old? Maybe the only relevant rule here is old#7 itself that came thru Moses.

I'd say it does! I had no idea Donovan McNabb was mixed up in this.

mariner म्हणाले...

Wait a minute.

It takes two to make a two-backed beast. This woman was just as guilty as he was.

I don't think highly of men who cheat on their wives, but this is not his fault alone.

How many of you who think he got what he deserved would say she got what she deserved it he had killed her?

TitusJustPinchedaFineLoaf म्हणाले...

At least no one died getting fucked by a horse.

I am still disturbed by the horse fucking thing.

And by "disturbed" you mean "aroused".

Jason (the commenter) म्हणाले...

I have a feeling that this post was directed at someone in particular.

I predict a string of posts in the coming months about men who cheated (or didn't move to another state) and met horrible fates.

Eli Blake म्हणाले...

Ever see Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction?

It makes us as guys think twice about having an affair-- the person you have it with could turn out to be a psycho.

former law student म्हणाले...

This woman was just as guilty as he was.

This assumes he was up front with her. Do you think he said, "I'm married with four kids, but I still like to date? This condo is just for my fuckbuddies" Instead I can picture a stream of lies:

"Married? Where'd you hear that?"
"We have an open marriage."
"We're separated"
"We're in the process of getting a divorce"
"We're getting divorced as soon as the youngest enters school."
"I haven't loved her for a long, long time."

If she killed him, the last thing he said was likely the truth:
"Now look, she's my wife and the mother of my four kids, and I'm not going to leave them for you."

former law student म्हणाले...

Are you sure you wanted to say that? She probably still has brothers/uncles around.

Her brother, a classmate, fixed us up because he knew I would respect her. But there was no chemistry between us.

Some years ago there was a story about a topless dancer who some drunk married guy got fresh with and she kicked and stomped the crap out of him with wooden clogs and kicked all his teeth out and broke his face. I'm sure the guy's wife loved coming down to the hospital to visit him and supporting him through all the reconstructive surgery.

In Phoenix last year there was a story about a married guy who picked up a hooker who was looking for a few bucks. Turned out she was also running from drug cartel hitmen and they ended up shooting both of them.

There have been several stories about prostitutes and others who look for married men so they can blackmail them and get them to pay for their kid (never mind whether it's really his) and if he doesn't agree to it then they threaten to haul him into court and reveal everything to his wife and family.

Then there is Joey Buttafuoco (a name like that you never forget), whose 'affair' ended up going to his house and shooting his wife in the head (she survived). Supposedly she wanted to kill his wife and marry Joey herself, and if he didn't agree to it she planned to shoot him too, only starting with the nuts and working her way up.

Then there was Aileen Wuornos, who hitchiked around with her female lover, and when a guy would give them a ride, if he even said anything that could be construed as remote interest she would pull out a gun and shoot him multiple times and let him bleed to death on the side of the road.

There were the 'slippies'-- Manson girls who would join protests and seek out young men to find out if they could seduce them into joining their murdering little cult.

Like I said, you cheat and you might be getting involved with someone who is so scary that you never even dreamed of anyone that scary in your worst nightmare.

Mark Sanford is lucky that the worst nightmare he has to face is Jenny Sanford.

Ultimately, one is forced to reckon with that grasping creature demanding a hike on the Appalachian trail, regardless of danger, seeking that ineffable eff, the Hump-hump of Endless Promise, when truth be told tomorrow it will just be you again, groggy and cranky and not improved a whit for the encounter.

Once 'over there' becomes 'here', the gonadal demon's peripheral vision soon spies another apple, and implores you to take a bite.

The Drill SGT म्हणाले...

Eli,

You left off the most famous one. I'm not cheating on my wife, but I bet any man who is knows the name:

elena bobbitt

men fear the knives more than the guns.

She was Iranian, not Afghan, but I expect the women of both cultures use the threat of a sharp knife late at night to modify behavior of brutish men

When you're wounded and left on Afghanistan's plains,
And the women come out to cut up what remains,
Jest roll to your rifle and blow out your brains
An' go to your Gawd like a soldier.
Go, go, go like a soldier,
Go, go, go like a soldier,
Go, go, go like a soldier,
So-oldier ~of~ the Queen!

Eli Blake म्हणाले...

Oh, yes. And it's Lorena. And I thought she was from Latin America someplace.

You're right, I forgot that (although she was his wife, his problem wasn't that he was cheating on her, it was that she didn't like it when he took the initiative-- which is a whole different problem.)

I'm Full of Soup म्हणाले...

In tomorrow's New York Daily News, Mike Lupica blames America's "knife & fork culture" for the country's obesity epidemic.

The Drill SGT म्हणाले...

Eli,

Lorena was a Latina of some flavor.

My comment was that MNabb's squeeze was Iranian.

I'm Full of Soup म्हणाले...

Mrs. Donovan Mcnabb called to complain that some of you are calling McNair McNabb.

KCFleming म्हणाले...

The imperative for fidelity is a strong one to be enforced with death, and -curiously- is even demanded by those who are themselves cheating.

Despite the slow dissolution of marriage in the US, the couple's covenant continues to have this curious expectation, suggesting something overlooked.

traditionalguy म्हणाले...

Pogo...The new lover must have caught him cheating with his wife. In her culture such things are to sacred forgive as a minor oops.

The Dude म्हणाले...

I think the widow hit the jackpot - the solution and the problem arrived simultaneously.

Enjoy the rest of your rich life.
