... by giving him a really low chair:
And nice sock-pulling, Prez. Because it would only be worse if that forced hunkering exposed shin skin.

I wonder how much of this is intentional. It seems like there have been some photographs of this trip that make Obama look subservient or odd. Here, my guess is that is an accident and the effect is exagerrated by the camera angle. It seems like the two chairs are identical.
The chairs are identical. President Obama is taller than Putty-put.
I'm no Obama supporter, but when I look at this picture, my first impression is "Damn, how short are the Russian people", followed by "Our President sure looks a lot better than the ugly guy".
Invisble Man and Jeremy (oh, c'mon everyone - you know he's gonna show up on an Obama post)there. I said something nice about the President. And I mean it. He is a dignified and good-looking man.
This picture sure brings home David Brooks' point today.
If only Chip Ahoy would photoshop Bush's head onto Obama's body then we could talk about how stupid Bush looks.
I believe it's entirely intentional on Putin's part. And Chase has it wrong. That photo was published for a particular reason, and it was aimed at the Russian people
Reminds me of stories I've heard about the infamous Admiral Rickover interviews. Rickover interviewed every officer candidate for the nuclear Navy, and was a holy terror. One of the things he did was trim the front legs of the chair of the interviewee, so that person would slowly slide forward during the interview. Insidious. It was distracting and kept the candidate off guard. It was said to be very effective. Of course, Rickover was a brutal, vicious sonofabitch, who would stop at nothing to break a man down.
Sort of like Vladimir Putin.
Putin is doing a variation of Rickover's game here. He's made Obama look like an idiot. Not a difficult task, granted. But, nonetheless.
The whole trip to Russia is like this. Witness that pathetic photo of him attempting to shake hands with Medevev. Medevev is standing behind the podium looking rather disgusted as Obama slavishly tries to make the scene go his way. Fail.
Another quick point. The Russians, in general, despise black people, to a degree that would make a Klansman blush. All this talk about them "admiring" the First Lady for working with her hands is an insult unparalleled. They are equating Michelle Obama with a serf; an underling. A slave. Russians of the ruling class would never dream of "working with their hands." The American press is spinning this as a triumphant trip to Russia, but the Russians are laughing at the Obamas for the pathetic hicks they believe them to be.
Weird camera angle. President Obama is, what, about six inches taller than Putin? I am guessing the chairs are identical. Bad posture and sock pulling adds to the poor effect for the President.
The chairs are identical. President Obama is taller than Putty-put.
Considerably so, 6'1.5" vs. 5'7".
Peter
This is yet another the result of amateur hour at the White House.
In advance of every presidential visit, an advance team works with the people for the presidential counterpart to set up all the seemingly infintessimally small details.
From camera angles, to where podiums will be placed, to lighting, to chair heights. A good advance team knows what puts "their guy" in the best possible light and how to negotiate these sorts of things well in advance.
Putin is significantly shorter than Obama, so Obama looks oversized in the chairs they used. Instead of negotiating for a chair in which their guy wouldn't look ridiculous, they obviously let the Russians set up a photo in which Putin looks comfortable and relaxed while Obama looks uncomfortable and out of sorts.
Obama should fire his advance team and bring in some professionals, but then he's not exactly known for competence in selecting staff now is he? Maybe his current advance folks are the only ones left on his list who didn't have tax problems.
It is true Russians tend to be racist, although they do distinguish black Americans (which they consider exotic (i.e., entertainers, sports figures, etc.) from black Africans (which they have virtually no respect for and consider less valuable than chimps).
I think the Michelle Obama thing and gardening is a reference to the Russian love of maintaining a summer garden. The whole Dacha thing. That was not a field worker slight. Russians love to get their hands dirty...including gardening.
If the chair things was staged that way, Obama's protocol staff really blew it. My guess is the Russian photographer was just looking for the goof shot to embarass. If that is your adversary's goal, it is hard to completely defend against it--but good posture and facial control help enormously.
Brooks's adulation of Obama is hard to figure. His column, after being critical throughout of specific public figures and society in general, concludes with this:
"But it’s not right to end on a note of cultural pessimism because there is the fact of President Obama. Whatever policy differences people may have with him, we can all agree that he exemplifies reticence, dispassion and the other traits associated with dignity. The cultural effects of his presidency are not yet clear, but they may surpass his policy impact. He may revitalize the concept of dignity for a new generation and embody a new set of rules for self-mastery."
The assessment is so superficial. Obama has been consistently disengenuous and sometimes lying at least since he started his run for the presidency, and continues to lie with abandon. And Broder sees that as dignity?
Jeez. Clever KGB, hideously stoooopid WH Staff.
Of course the chairs look allike, until you get closer, then you realize that Putin's chair is 1/2" to 3/4" taller. Not noticible to the untrained eye, but you'd have to be a carpenter to notice.
The chair is, in all probability, only slightly shorter in the front and a little less shorter in the back. Obama's been moked. Softer cushion, too.
Condi Rice would never have let this happen to her.
Russians and their practical jokes....
The low chair is a very old trick. It's used so often that it's not even a trick. Look at Congressional hearings. The congressboobs are higher up than the witnesses. Message: "We are more powerful than you."
Obama is getting quite a treatment from the Russians. I fear this is only the beginning.
We all know the Obamas like giving people a look of contempt. Putin is just protecting himself. Smart man.
I think Rob is right. By the way the chairs are laid out, if anything Obama's chair is further away from the camera than Putin's. Yet, the distance from the foot of the chair to the bottom of the wood on the crossboard is the same.
chefmojo - "All this talk about them "admiring" the First Lady for working with her hands is an insult unparalleled. They are equating Michelle Obama with a serf; an underling. A slave. Russians of the ruling class would never dream of "working with their hands."'
Not true about ethnic Russians rejecting the rodina.
They are about as strong on the tie to soil and hard work as the French are about the unique French terroire.
What Russians hate are those who seen as parasites, who don't work with their hands, but feed off the work of others....
Capitalists, the hated Jewish elites under Communism and the Yeltsin oligarchy. Nepotism of Party boss families. The Chechen syndicates. The Chinese menace. Indolent blacks demanding Russian University spots and Russian wheat sent to African lands where farmers are lower in staus than criminals and armed thuggery as career choices..And just the act of working is looked down on as womanish stuff unfit for a black male "prince" or "warrior" to engage in.
This whole thread is Strangelovian.
Also notice Putin is sitting on the edge of his chair while Obama is maxing and relaxing - but it looks like the guts of the chair have been stripped out about like Bond's in the torture scene in Casino Royale.
I only wonder whether O knows he was had or not, or was in on it all along.
Oh yeah, dignity. Like David Dinkins.
And C4, I could say this more often - usually stifle it, but you drag this out of me: Please stop pretending you know Russians or Russia. Bojemoi, you come right out of a comic book. Darktown Strutters on balalaika.
How rude! Putin serves tea.
Putin looks goofy too.
I suppose the chairs are glamorous and shockingly valuable antiques or something... likely designed by an excessively famous Dutchess or some-such who needed the height for her short legs and the depth of the chairs for her bustles.
He can see Russia from that chair.
Russia shows its love of wallpaper.
Chairs are too low for comfort but appear identical in type and height.
Isn't Putin kinda shrimpy-sized?
Chairs may have been selected to fit Putins shrimp legs and accentuate O's gangly awkwardness.
Also possible the springs were removed from O's cushion sinking him down further with his knees coming up almost chin-level.
Will Putin be visiting the WH soon?
Better yet seat him in a vastly over-sized chair making him appear insignificant.
Both are goofy looking.
Putin is rather short (I thought he was shorter than the 5'7" reported above) and the chairs are a bit short, but the effect I'm sure was intentional(former KGB does nothing without ten reasons).
Obama has already succeeded in changing US diplomacy; now the Russians are trying to belittle him and not Bush.
Heckuva job, Barry!
They're co-ordinated chairs from a set, but patently not identical despite the matching upholstery. Obama's chair's legs are 4/5 the height of Vlad's, the arms are shorter, the seat back is four inches shorter and Obama's butt is nearly kissing the ground. I think Ali used to call that rope-a-dope.
Re Brooks: my only question after reading that pile of steaming crap was whether Brooks spits or swallows.
The low chairs make Colonel Obama look like a chimp with his boney legs around his neck. That's what happens when chimps try to look intelligent. It was done on purpose, and our great chimp was to dumb to figure it out. Russians always play games with other leaders like that.
So what poses the biggest nuclear threat to the world? Iran, North Korea, China or the flat on their butts Russians?
Colonel Obama votes Honduras.
Obama was made to look the fool. Yesterday's photo with Medvedev harkens back to the WC Fields line, "Go away, kid. You bother me." The previous day's pic shows Medvedev standing still with his arm outstretched at almost shoulder height, while Obama races across the scene to grab Medvedev's hand from underneath.
Obama is so far out of his depth, he probably has no idea how foolish the Russians made him look to the world.
Note also the laudatory telegram Putin sent to W yesterday. Putin's telegram recalled warmly Bush's hospitality at both the Craford ranch and the Kennebunkport estate as well as Putin's respect for Bush even in disagreement.
Message to Obama: You are not even a shadow of your predecessor.
Invisble Man and Jeremy (oh, c'mon everyone - you know he's gonna show up on an Obama post)there. I said something nice about the President. And I mean it. He is a dignified and good-looking man.
Chase,
I told you we were going to be friends.
But anyways, this reminds of the time I went to visit a college friend's family in Virginia. I'm 6'1 and the tallest person in the family was like 5'3. I swear I felt like I was entering a gingerbread house. I bumped my head entering the kitchen, I looked about like Obama sitting on their sofa and for the first time I felt claustrophobic after like 2 days. Short people need to be more accomodating to their genetic superiors.
Chase,
Please... there is nothing dignified about a man who compared Tom Coburn to an abortion extremist when he was questioned about Bill Ayers by ABC in one the public debates.
There is nothing dignified about accusing people of "smearing" him about being a secret Muslim - since when did being called a secret Muslim become a "smear"
there is nothing dignified about looking point blank at a woman and saying that "you are likable enough".
there is nothing dignified about telling people that he does not look like the old white guy on a dollar bill, so please vote for him,
There is nothing dignified about using straw man attacks on your opponents so often that it leaves even non partisans exasperated.
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/horseraceblog/2009/02/the_president_attacks_a_republ_1.html
Confusing smooth talking and suave mannerisms with dignified politics does not seem right to me.
David Brooks has already confessed that Obama reads his articles and responds to them - for God's sakes he almost ejaculated at the thought that the POTUS knows Reinhold Niehbuhr !
His comments about Obama have to be taken with a bit of salt.
Just my 2Cs.
Sincerely,
Naga

Wow, didn't know the Klan was meeting here today. Should have brought my sheet, moonshine and bubba teeth.
"No, really, just as I slipped the 'Worker's Daily' flyer in their mailbox, the dog bit me. Let me show you the scar..."
What this brings to mind was that during the campaign, the O kept bringing up JFK at every opportunity and about how young JFK had met with our enemies (the Russkies) etc.
What observers pointed out was his meeting in 1961 was a total disaster. The Russians came away emboldened by his lack of knowledge, naiveness, and fawning attempts to produce a deal at the meeting.
The result was that the Russians challenged him with missiles in Cuba.
How do you think the Russians perceive the O. As a weak President, or a strong one?
Here's another photo of ....who???

How do you think the Russians perceive the O. As a weak President, or a strong one?
Is that a trick question? ;-)
"I said something nice about the President. And I mean it. He is a dignified and good-looking man."
So was George Bush, but that didn't stop the left from making fun of his looks.
Just did a quick Google search for Bush/Putin pic in chairs.
http://www.geocities.com/beaver_militia/mcveigh.html
These don't look like the same chairs, but from the description on this site, they are on Putin's turf. Of course the circumstances were different, probably not Bush's 1st visit to Russia.
Here's another photo of ....who???
Is that a yoke....er.. Joke?
Those of us of a certain age remember when an eager young President Carter was manipulated and humiliated in similar ways by Chairman Brezhnev in summit meetings and Moscow visits.
This is what happens when you send an naive inexperienced kid against the KGB.
Pic at the G-8 Summit in St. Petersburg with Bush-Putin seated in chairs with reasonable leg height.
Is that the Comfy Chair?
With the Soft Cushions?
From the Russia Blog.
Obama brought 600 advisors, media, and assistants with him.
US helps stimulate the Russian economy.
Does media pay their own way?
The Russians may be the surest defense of the old-fashioned nation state against an eloquent young fellow whose intentions for the USA likely lie in the direction of dissolving it into membership under some progressive global authority. The EU on steroids. So, the more truculent and troublesome Putin and Medvedev are, the more they can frustrate and humiliate our president, the better they are for our good old American Republic. Yay Russia! Go, Putin! Go!
Am I the only one here who thinks Obama's chair really is smaller? I'm looking at it, and I just don't think angle or perspective can account for that much difference. It looks ridiculous, regardless.
How do you get the leader of the free world to do that?...You tell him to "Sit there and look cute or I'll snap your neck. These hands are lethal weapons."
Obama doesn't value his country or his position; the behavior of Putin, DinnerJacket, et al. is simply a reflection in his mirror.
Here is a better, clearer pic. The shot is straight-on rather than slanted.
Obama-Putin seated.
The chairs are probably the same size and Putin is shorter than Obama--granted. But note that Putin is sitting near the front edge of the chair while Obama is sitting normally. My guess is the Russkies set this up to get an unflattering photo. Let's hope that's the worst thing they do.
Putin looks as though he's ripping a silent but deadly in that picture.
As several people have noted already it seems to be the cushions not the chairs which are the problem. Putin probably didn't want Obama towering over him. I hope it was bad advance work on the part of the White House staff and not just Obama's desire to be liked.
See "Dress For Success", Garters.
Pretty basic executive knowledge.
Invisible Man,
Is / was it okay when the compassionate, tolerant left called W. "chimp" for 8 years?
I NEVER thought I'd see a reference to N.I. Yezhov in an Althouse comments thread. Yezhov was known for many things, including farting contests with his men. He was also a mere 5'0 or 5'1 tall, so if he had been Prez in that photo Obama would look like he was doing a cannonball.
My impression has been that Russians don't particularly like black people, but OTOH a lot of half-black kids started showing up about 9 months after the Moscow Olympics.
Mr. Forward said...
"He can see Russia from that chair."
ha ha ha ha ha!
Is / was it okay when the compassionate, tolerant left called W. "chimp" for 8 years?
Excuse his racism if you'd like with some false equivalence. Read Fred4Pres's previous comment, which makes a valid point, and ask yourself where that screed came from again. I'm guessing that you didn't even read Fred4Pres's comment but I'm glad that your so quick to defend racist tirades. Just don't ever ask yourself again why minorities won't even take a second look at a party where a number of members like yourself excuse crap like this.
Check out the lifts in Putins shoes. The lace up part of his shoes turns up sharply like a woman's high heel. There must be 2-3" of heel inside there
http://www.russiablog.org/BushPutinShakeHandsFlags.jpg
I dunno, IM. When A says to B, "Eat shit and die, you asslicking cocksucking retarded incestuous motherfucker," and B says to A, "Shut up, nigger[/whitey/spic/dago/mick/etc]," has B really done worse than A? In such a case, the racial insult seems to become just another insult, chosen to offend and anger the opponent, not because one believes in the other's racial inferiority.
It seems you want all the running room you need at the expense of decorum, but certain magic words push the reset button and bring us back to Mrs. Grundy's kindergarten.
In other words, the faux-Tourette's syndrome displayed by so many on the left detracts from your Moral Authoritah.
Besides, if both Lincoln and Bush can be described as lower primates, why should Obama be exempt? Wouldn't that be a slight in itself?
I have no wish to call Obama a chimp or any other kind of animal, but really, he ought to be tougher than that, and perhaps you ought to man up on his account. Russia, Iran, NK, etc., don't care whether he slept well, whether he got to finish his waffle, or whether he resents racial slights.
They aren't the same chair. obama's chair has a low back where as putin's chair has a high back. The chairs might be the same height off the ground, though.
I object to your crediting the Russians for making Obama look silly. The Russians have no such power. Obama does not only look silly, he is silly in his own right.

"Just don't ever ask yourself again why minorities won't even take a second look at a party where a number of members like yourself excuse crap like this."
Get off your high horse. Just a couple of days ago, we had to deal with an entire racist thread from DTL where he proudly posted racist commentary again and again. Last I checked, he resided pretty firmly on your side of the political aisle.
Funny. But I don't remember you jumping out of the woodwork to condemn those comments while the more conservative commenters condemned them roundly.
Don't get me started on how much racism, anti-semitism, misogyny and bigotry exists on your side of aisle. There's more than enough for everyone to take a piece of pie.
Put your faux outrage back in the box where you keep it until you disingenuously want to pull it out to score points.
Nichevo,
You truly are a moron, and I try not to call people names on this board. I would qoute you, but it would force me to repeat your idiocy masquerading as logic. First, there are people calling Obama a socialist/fascist/who hates America and calling him racist names. But that's what racism is about. People might have judged Bush harshly even, but nobody holds his color against him like you and your friend obviously due to Obama. Second, I'm glad that racism is just about some kindergarten of yours. I hope that the next time you walk by some black man in the mall you call him a chimp, and have this speech about Mrs. Whatever prepared as you lose a tooth.
Get off your high horse. Just a couple of days ago, we had to deal with an entire racist thread from DTL where he proudly posted racist commentary again and again.
I never saw that thread so I can't speak on it, but obviously this type of racism doesn't bother you one bit.

"I never saw that thread so I can't speak on it, but obviously this type of racism doesn't bother you one bit."
Spare me your ridiculous self-righteousness. If the Left thinks that it's perfectly OK to call the president a "chimp," then you hardly have room to complain when someone returns the favor.
You don't own the word. You don't have a right to wield it as a weapon, and think hide behind your mother's skirt and claim that it's now all of a sudden out of bounds.
Either it's a valid insult, or it isn't. When you go back and condemn every person who used it as a derisive term against Bush, then you can come to me with your moral outrage about how it's purely a racist taunt.
A guy with big protruding ears with his legs up around his neck is going to be compared to a chimpanzee regardless of his race. Your side made the comparison a valid one when we were talking about presidents. You don't get to complain about it now.
Like I said to fls on another thread, you're the ones who concocted the medicine and you have no right to complain when it gets shoveled in your face when the political party in charge of the White House changes.
Grow up.
"This picture sure brings home David Brooks' point today."
I read that, laughing. Brooks tries to make the point that Obama brings dignity to the office.
If the man had any dignity, he wouldn't put his feet up on the Resolute desk.
And Sivakumar fills in the rest.
Case closed.
chefmojo: "Rickover interviewed every officer candidate for the nuclear Navy, and was a holy terror."
Jimmy Carter got past that interview.
Fred4Pres: "My guess is the Russian photographer was just looking for the goof shot to embarass."
And waited for the exact moment. (Photo historians will remember Cartier-Bresson's "the decisive moment".)
Looks like the Russians hired Charlie Gibson for a little free lance work in the funny chair make somebody look subservient department.
IM, I can't respond as you are not even coherent. But I will ask, in the words of Thelonious Monk,
"Are you black, Mingus?"
The pic looks to be a photo-op prep.
Obama is looking at his handler and being cued to pull up his sock while Putin is sitting with lips pursed looking off waiting for the games to begin.
At least O wasn't photo-ed checking his zipper.
IM, I can't respond as you are not even coherent. But I will ask, in the words of Thelonious Monk,
And the Klan keeps digging.
Yeah, whatever. Are you black, IM? I just realized you might be cribbing Ellison for your nick. Maybe The Crack Emcee can reach you.
The only one being made unhappy by your weltanschaaung is you, IM. Stop seeing the Klan under your bed and get happy!
I hope that the next time you walk by some black man in the mall you call him a chimp, and have this speech about Mrs. Whatever prepared as you lose a tooth.
Isn't it perpetuating racist stereotype to suggest that any random black man in a mall's immediate response to a verbal insult is violence?
The Brooks paragraph is a Pravda-esque state-run-media parody of powers-that-be sycophancy.
Example after example abound of Obama being the opposite of what is described: Obama and family have been willing accomplices in celeb-level image-building, to the point there Michelle has given us annoying glimpses into Barack's private life; her comment that Barack is 'stinky' in the morning was an anti-Washingtonian-dignity TMI moment.
Obama's campaign has played the master of ceeremonies to the hucksterism of a Cult of Personality, replete with faux greek columns at his acceptance speech, and the $170 million inauguration. In substantive matter, Obama is eager to personalize what he should not: He injects the "I" word in foreign policy where the royal "we" would be better; he's a representative not a potentate.
We have fallen so far as a political culture, that we've gone from a society where Presidents did not deign to campaign at all (as brooks notes), to a President in permanent campaign. (The latest outrages: The Obama admin creates Potemkim-village like townhall, stuffs it with shills for his healthcare agenda who were preselected to ask loaded questions, so the townhall is nothing but a campaign stunt less genuine than a Billie Mays infomercial, and the state-run media runs it without comment, and worse, dares not speak the truth about this. Instead, we get insipid nonsense from potted plant pseudo-conservatives in the pravda-on-the-hudson, New York Times, lying through his teeth about who Obama is. Is such blarney a job reqt for getting a Times paycheck?
The only one being made unhappy by your weltanschaaung is you, IM. Stop seeing the Klan under your bed and get happy!
I called out you and the other commentor specifically. I'm perfectly happy, just not with those who are amused by racism.
Ann...you're a law professor?
Really?
Ann - You're denigrating our President.
You're an asshole.
I can't believe this is a thread discussing how our President is sitting on a fucking chair.
It's the President of our our country.
Why would you take the time to do this?
It's disgusting and un-American.
Why would you take the time to do this?
Says the guy who takes three comments to state nothing of substance.
Blogger Ofc. Krupke - And you consider this thread important? Whether the chairs were the same height?
Really, Colonel Klink??
How's this for substance: Suck my dick.
Blogger Ofc. Krupke - And you consider this thread important? Whether the chairs were the same height?
Sure. Politicians, and Russian ones especially, never do this sort of thing by accident. It's surprising and somewhat dismaying that Obama doesn't seem to understand when he's being played. It's not an encouraging sign in our competition for world influence with the Russians.
But you probably don't understand that, because you're just a kid up past his bedtime.
Well your accusation, if that's what that word salad amounted to, was way off base. Amazing - it's like your head exploded.
Apparently you are not an honest person, but more importantly to you than my opinion of your morals or ethics, it doesn't work, this shtick of yours. You're not going to Mau-Mau me (lol, more racism? It's a perfectly cromulent expression) into submission. You're probably one of those people who thinks blacks can never be racist against whites because of the power structure (or is that obsolete A.O.?) - which would be a surprise to Christian and Newsome in TN, but that's another matter.
Your skin color, or Obama's, means far less to me than it does to you. And no, sunshine, it ain't making you happy. It's making you rabid.
Nichevo -
"You're probably one of those people who thinks blacks can never be racist against whites because of the power structure (or is that obsolete A.O.?) - which would be a surprise to Christian and Newsome in TN, but that's another matter. "
That's another concept that I refuse to bow down to the PC Police on. Racism has a definition, and you don't get to change it. If you want to make up some other word that connotes whether or not the racist is a member of the majority or not, have at it and make one up. But you're not entitled to some kind of NewSpeak redefinition of a word that has a clear meaning.
This is just another bogus attempt to relieve minorities from responsibility when they promulgate hatred against other races - whether it's black vs. white, Hispanics vs. blacks, Koreans vs. Jews, whatever. It's an attempt to apply a special stigma to white hatred while completely ignoring and excusing that of everyone else. That's just not gonna fly.
If you've ever been a white person in an inner city neighborhood after dark, then you know that racist blacks are capable of as much hatred as any KKKer. Look at the gang violence in LA or Compton between blacks and Hispanics who are warring for pretty much no other reason than the fact that they are of different ethnicities.
Sorry, Invisible. You don't get to set the ground rules. If something is racist for one, then it's racist for all.
If you're entitled to use an epithet to refer to me (or other members of my race, religion, whatever), then I'm (or they) entitled to direct it back at you. I don't care what the word is, or what the "historical context" is. If you felt free enough of its historical context to toss it around when you direct at me, you have no leg to stand on when it gets turned back around on you. Evidently you didn't think it was so "racially insensitive" when you used it, so you can take your faux outrage and accusations of being a member of the Klan and stick em right back where you got the term from in the first place when you thought you were oh so clever to toss it around.
This ain't your playground, and you don't get to set the rules. Come back when you're grown up enough to play with the big boys.
@ZZMike
Re: Carter & Rickover
Yes, Carter did interview with Rickover, but it was within the context of diesel-electric subs. Carter never became reactor qualified and did not stay in the Navy long enough to qualify or serve on a nuclear powered sub.
In fact, it's rather amusing that many on the left assume that because Carter "passed" an interview with Rickover, he was nuke qualified. Never happened. Rickover was also still a Captain in rank at the time, and had not gained neither the power or notoriety that he achieved at a later date.
In other words, what's your point?
I'm actually amazed that this Fraud-in-Chief just didn't go ahead and give the Russians our nuclear codes at this point. Slipping it to Putin on a post-it note or the secret handshake where he swaps microdot film or something.
Interesting. Seems the Russians learned from the trick one of the interviewers used on Sarah Palin to make her look physically smaller and less impressive. See the blog "Hollywood Trenches" for a discussion by an alleged Hollywood pro about camera angles, etc.
I am going to add fuel to IM's little fire. Here is my reaction to the media fawning over the "beautiful" Ms. Obama:
She appears to me to be very equine-looking when approaching and very bovine-looking when retreating. Translation for IM. She has a horse's face and cow's ass. There is nothing racial about that statement. It is what it is.
Obama does resemble a chimp. Let's call a spade a spade, meaning "To speak plainly - to describe something as it really is."
ATexan, don't be niggardly with your opinions, tell us how you really feel.
Nichevo - lol
Obama is the US's Gorbachev. Putin understands exactly how to deal with that.
Yes because the "negroes" always get made fools of, eh.
Nice website, have fun on the SPLC Hate Group Watch List, suckers.
Where'd they grow you?
