Nina sure did.
ADDED: "Solar solstice" is not the right expression, as everyone in the comments is beating me over the head about. I'm sorry! The whole summer is sorry!!!

Of course it couldn't be a Lunar Solstice. It's actually the Northern Hemisphere's Summer Solstice. There's going to be another one, called Winter Solstice, in about six months.
Wow.
It's like Madison WI only in another country!
Just when the days starting getting nice there's less of each one until winter; it seems so unfair but it's the Law.
Last night I again reveled in the free and simple pleasure of cool sheets on a warm summer night. Welcome back summer, I missed you.
I guess jimbino already covered this, but I was really surprised by your use of the redundant phrase "solar solstice." It's like talking about photoactive photosynthesis.
If you're asking did I notice the sun has been close enough to fry my corneas, then yes, I did notice the solstice.
The term summer solstice means that it is High Noon for the year 2009. It is also High Noon for the Iranian tyrant who has to face Sheriff Obama, that is if anyone can find the sheriff.
Sunrise for Summer Solstice should only be photographed in Fairbanks, AK. Oh, wait a second.
Beth, the sun is almost as far away from the Earth as it gets now. Aphelion is in early July.
Oh, great, MadisonMan. Something to look forward to! Seriously, it's brutal here right now, and it feels like you can touch the sun, even in late afternoon, as it's finally going down. There's no rain, and it's above 95 from 1 pm on through sundown. Hate it, hate it, hate it!
