This is my theory:

During the school year, Althouse has her students bring her cough syrup for extra credit. Then during the summer months she travels around Kentucky and sells what she's collected to meth labs.

Watch out for the Mexicans, it wont be long before they're on to you!

The graffiti has been crossed out.

From Wikipedia: George Clooney lived in Augusta and graduated from Augusta High School. That and Miss America ought to count for something.

Don't you think that the US Marshalls would envy Augusta Ky for a Protected Witness needing a new identity. What about the elephant mask guy? Little Augusta also reminds me of a good flick called A Time for Violence. But the peaceful silence might drive them mad at first.

Ann, this photograph is wonderful, and made much more interesting by the angle it was shot at.

I've recently taken up painting, and one of the first things I was taught was not to paint what I think I see, but to paint what I really see. That change in perspective has opened up an entirely new world for me.

The subject matter, in this case a building with broken windows, graffiti, and flood damage now take a secondary position to colors, shapes, lines, light and shadow. That simple change in perspective can change the bleak to beauty.

Barn without flood damage.

Wonder if Chip will animate Hardin's photo. That could be fun.

Jason, you've got the formula wrong. It's pseudoephedrine (Sudafed), not cough syrup, that's needed for meth. Cough syrup is abused for the codeine, hydrocodone, or dextromethophan.
