If they need help in learning to care for it, National Zoo, just a couple of miles away up Connecticut Avenue, has had pygmy hippos since I was a kid. They know all the tricks.

Underneath the East Wing of the White House, where the White House Press Corps hangs around, is a swimming pool that was covered over, I believe by Nixon. (Kennedy used the pool for therapy.)

That could be configured to address the aquatic needs of the pygmy hippo while chasing reporters out of the White House. That sounds like a double win to me!

BTW, in the case of the pygmy hippo, I think it would look better spelled pigmy hippo. I might even turn into a new reality TV show.; ७/११/०८, ४:५२ PM
