Phillip Morris, which doesn't sell cloves but sells menthols, supports banning the former but not the latter. Shocking.

They're not kidding about the enduring popularity of menthol. One convenience store I would stop at on 79th St. had two cigarette machines. One was filled with a variety of brands; every pull handle on the other had a stack of Kools behind it.
A friend, pumping gas as a young man in Racine, was surprised when a black guy pulled up and said, simply, "Gimme a pack of what I am." The customer responded to his "Huh?" with "Kooooooooooooollllllll"
