"'How many angels dance on the head of the pin?,' she responded, continuing to giggle."

Ready for the new Clinton presidency? To answer to your hard questions, she'll laugh in your face. We'll finally be free of George Bush's "heh heh heh." The new laugh will be a fresh, frank, hearty cackle.

What was that Ann professed? "cruel neutrality?" Except she'll be running right wing memes against Dems and flattering John McCain.

Anyway, I can recommend the DailyShow special send up on Fox last night. A true gem.

It's on the Comedy Central web site for yesterday And here's part two.

AlphaLiberal म्हणाले...

Here's a suggestion to demonstrate your cruel neutrality, Ann. You could cover McCain's position change on the mortgage crisis.

Is it a flip-flop or simply a refinement of his callous disregard?

KCFleming म्हणाले...

Don't try to change the subject AL. Hillary's evasive cackle is evil incarnate.

Whenever I see the bad guy in a movie do an evil laugh at something evil he's done, I think "what a terrible screenplay".

Clinton II is a terrible screenplay.

The laugh that makes men flaccid.

and speaking of the Clintons of Chapaqua--could anyone speculate why in the world Bubba would want to bring up the Bosnian fairy tale about the time it was dying down? (other than, perhaps, to distract from the 800K he got in speaker fees advocating for a columbian free trade agreement).

AlphaLiberal म्हणाले...

To give Ann credit, she did mention Bush's creepy "heh heh heh."

Not sure I've ever heard a "normal" laugh. They're all kind of odd in their own way.

But I do agree Fox News is a joke.

We need to use a tape that cackle in and endless-loop, in place of water-boarding: It would easily work twice as well.

Even though it would constitute cruel and unusual punishment, the left wouldn't really be in a place where they could complain about "torture".

sandy shoes म्हणाले...

This is new? Jay Severin has been playing an endless loop of that cackle on Boston talk radio for months now. Could be over a year, who can tell anymore. It's a very effective station change motivator.

So will McCain's debate strategy with Hillary! be to tell jokes to get her laughing? It might work.

Roger J. म्हणाले...

Alpha Liberal--Since Fox is a joke, I am curious about which networks you rely on for unbiased information about the democratic candidates.

Coleridge wrote in an op-ed around 1800 that conflict of interest was the pulley on which good character is hoist into public view.

Or bad character, in this case.

The WSJ used to editorialize that life is a conflict of interest.

So it's the character not the conflict of interest that ought to be in question.

Peter V. Bella म्हणाले...

I do not know what is worse, Hillary's cackle or the sound of a dentist drill. Both run chills up my spine. She reminds me of the Wicked Witch in the Wizard of Oz.

KCFleming म्हणाले...

I'm gonna use that tape come halloween and skeer the neighborhood trick-or-treaters.

Better yet, I'll get a Hillary! yard sign and attach a speaker and run this 24 hours a day from my front yard. Weee!

former law student म्हणाले...

Asked by CNN if those earnings represented a conflict of interest given that she has dipped into her family's pocketbook to pay campaign bills, Clinton threw up her hands and laughed loudly for several seconds.

You and me both, CNN: you and me both.

Freeman Hunt म्हणाले...

She needs to fire whoever is coaching her on public appearances. She can afford any coach she wants, and I assume that she works very hard to incorporate whatever she's taught into her persona. Therefore, her coach must be incompetent. How could a decent coach allow that cackle to go on? I would think that would be the first thing to be squelched.

As an avid Clinton Watcher, I bet you get really frustrated, no? Here you have all this money, tens of thousands of fellow Clinton Watchers tracking it, and yet nothing ever comes of it aside from assurances from Clinton Watchers that it is indeed tainted. Why can't everyone see dead people like CW'ers ?

AlphaLiberal म्हणाले...

I don't rely on any networks. I hoover up information from a wide array of sources and cross-check and verify.

I do listen to CNN, MSNBC, ABC and try to avoid Fox. Fox flat out lies to their viewers. If you rely on Fox News for your information, you are willfully becoming dumb.

More so than the other alphabet networks lie to us and distort their coverage????

Give us an example otherwise it's just your opinon.

Roger J. म्हणाले...

Alpha Lib--thanks for the response. BTW I havent seen/heard the expression "hoover-up" in a long time. In fact, Bob Prince, the former Pirates announcer is the only person I have ever heard use it. Are you from Pittsburgh?

former law student म्हणाले...

gm: Why can't HRC answer a simple question? Will she giggle her way through the State of the Union address?

"How many angels dance on the head of the pin?," she responded, continuing to giggle. "I have really, uh, nothing to … I mean, how do you answer that?"

garage mahal म्हणाले...

She did answer it: [from the link even]

"I am against the Colombia free trade deal," she said. "It doesn't matter who talks to me. It doesn't matter any circumstances. I have been against it. I am against it. I will be against it absent the kind of changes in behavior that I have been calling for from the Colombian government."

Is that so hard to understand? I know as a Clinton Watcher you're skeptical. She opposes it. She voted against it. Her husband is for it. Obama's chief strategist is for it, Tom Daschle. He raised alot of money for Obama. I'm guessing Hillary has money. She sold alot of books. Aren't Clinton Watchers always bringing up how much money she has made? Cattle futures, book deals.....

AlphaLiberal म्हणाले...

Roger, no, not from Pitt. I think I got "hoover up" from some Brit comedy Youtubes.

Dust Bunny Queen says:

Actually, I could decline to give you an example and it could still be true. This is logically so.

Plus, don't forget, you can always venture outside of your cherished news avenues to find this informaiton out for yourself.

But AlphaLiberal loves you and is nothing if not charitable:

As the researchers explained in their report, “The extent of Americans’ misperceptions vary significantly depending on their source of news. Those who receive most of their news from Fox News are more likely than average to have misperceptions. Those who receive most of their news from NPR or PBS are less likely to have misperceptions. These variations cannot simply be explained as a result of differences in the demographic characteristics of each audience, because these variations can also be found when comparing the demographic subgroups of each audience.”

Via Carpetbagger. (News links were removed or I would have given a newsy link).

It's an established fact: Fox News makes you dumb. Or, in some cases, dumber. Now that I gave you an example, you must believe me, right? Isn't that the corollary to your demand?

KCFleming म्हणाले...

"48% incorrectly believed that evidence of links between Iraq and al Qaeda have been found,"

That was one of the "misperceptions" named in your "study".

HAHAHAHAHAHA.
Hilarious, Alpha. Freakin' hilarious.

It's an established fact: Lefties are dumbasses. I have a study to prove it.

AlphaLiberal म्हणाले...

Pogo makes my point. Clearly, Pogo has watched way too much FoxNews.

Pogo, Bush admits that Iraq was not supporting al Qaeda. The freaking US Department of Defense recently concluded there was “no connection between the two.”

You are impervious to facts.

Hussein's Iraq and al Qaeda not linked, Pentagon says

The U.S. military's first and only study looking into ties between Saddam Hussein's Iraq and al Qaeda showed no connection between the two, according to a military report released by the Pentagon.

KCFleming म्हणाले...

Screw it, Alph. Fen has debunked that Commie News Network propaganda a zillion times, so I'm not gonna refight the fight. What a bore. Post away; only you believe that shit.

The survey was bullshit because the questions were bullshit. It only showed that leftists intellectuals think they're smart when in fact they believe anything but the truth.

Plus it's more hide the ball by the Dems. Hillary -caught in another bit of bullshittery- cackles and diverts, while Alph once again says all Rethugs R Stoopid again as if anyone actually cared.

Fen म्हणाले...

For fun, lets simply compare Alpha's CNN link to FOX:

CNN: "Although other groups, like the September 11 commission, have concluded that there was no link between Hussein and al Qaeda,"

...but is that really what the 9-11 commission said? Nope. They said: "We have no credible evidence that Iraq and al Qaeda cooperated on attacks against the United States.

Even FOX gets it right:

"the commission investigating the Sept. 11 attacks reported Wednesday there was "no credible evidence" that Saddam Hussein helped Al Qaeda target the United States."

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,122821,00.html

Although I think Alpha would be surprised at how few of us on the Right watch FOX. Its devolved into an entertainment channel. The only segment thats worth watching is Special Report with Brit Hume [with NPRs Mara Liason, which makes Alpha's "study" look stupid]

[...]

And for those of you tracking signs that Alpha's head will explode, odds are still at 3-2 before Summer, 2-1 after.

Betting closes in September.

Pogo demands proof of claims, but, when proof is submitted on a claim (admittedly a different claim, but it's still proof being sumbitted to back something up), the response is, "Fen has debunked that Commie News Network propaganda a zillion times, so I'm not gonna refight the fight."

Or the survey was misleading. Or the story was written by someone who once covered a Democratic political event. Or whatever. Blah blah.
