Wind.

On the most beautiful day...

... it sounds like a crazy windstorm out there.

UPDATE: 15 minutes later. Completely cloudy now.

+ ... Mother Nature is tempestuous today. Who knows what lies ahead? But I need to emerge from my aerie... There's a Conlaw class to get to...

Everyone knows it's windy.

My first lessons to play the guitar were from a guy who growled the words to the Association song in an off-key, grizzled, bitter, angry way, all the time bitching at my inept chord changes. He made Tom Waits sound like Sanjaya.

God I hate that song. Even still.

Bright is brighter on a windy day,
Ink-dark shadows scud by.
Join the drama? Best inside stay
As whoosh! down street news flies.

"When all is said and done, killing my mother came easily."

"Dementia, as it descends, has a way of revealing the core of the person affected by it."

"My mother's core was rotten like the brackish water at the bottom of a weeks-old vase of flowers."

Those windows just don't look energy efficient to me.

"How many roads must a man walk down
Before you call him a man?
Yes, 'n' how many seas must a white dove sail
Before she sleeps in the sand?
Yes, 'n' how many times must the cannon balls fly
Before they're forever banned?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,
The answer is blowin' in the wind."

BTW, why did Dylan make this the first verse? I mean how cheesy can you get: "Cannonballs fly" & how does a "white dove" "sail" and why over the "seas" ? Why are the "seas" even mentioned? But I really hate "sleep in the sand" - Doves don't sleep in the sand. I know its metaphorical, but the 2nd and 3rd song verses are much better.

I don't see any little electricity generating windmills anywhere. Why aren't you New Yorkers doing your part? Texas leads the nation in harnessing the wind. Get with the program!
