Bush and Hillary.

Being mature together.

That is a very hopeful thing to read. I assume he does the same thing for Republican Candidates.

The Lefties, of course, will say it's a cynical attempt by the Chimperor to make nice with the next President in an effort to save his failed Iraq policy. Rush & Co. will say it's a noble attempt to rise above petty partisanship and show that even polar opposites such as Bush and Hillary can work together. The most cynical on the Right will mutter about "singing Kumbaya."

It'll get a lot of comment, I think, and having been revealed in print may cause the effort to fail, depending on which way Hillary thinks the wind is blowing.

I thought Rove had gotten out of this stuff--its all so...Rovian..a clever device to make the netroots go even more nuts and throw the election, with the help of Diebold and the supreme court to the republicans in 2008. (sarcasm alert for those who may be sarcasm challenged).

Sound like there may be some adults in the game, and bob's points are on target.

More evidence that Hillary is the only serious candidate among the Democrats, and the only one who will get my vote.

Actually, if you'd read the article, you'd see Bush is doing this for "the top Democrats," not just Hillary.

hdhouse म्हणाले...

Nothing like advice from a frog on how to become a prince.

Brian Doyle म्हणाले...

Maturity? The man is a disgraced lunatic, and I'd want some evidence before believing that Hillary is actually taking advice from him.

Gedaliya म्हणाले...

The man is a disgraced lunatic

The president is a "disgraced lunatic"?

Do you ever wonder why no one takes you in the least bit seriously?

Brian Doyle म्हणाले...

The president is a "disgraced lunatic"?

You betcha.

John म्हणाले...

The man is a disgraced lunatic

Best example of projection I've seen in some time.

Doyle,

You might want to take some lessons form hdhouse on snark and rejoinder. His comment was much more pithy, pointed, and well, clever than yours.

Gedaliya म्हणाले...

Yes. hdhouse seems to possess the one quality most lacking on the hard-left...a sense of humor.

Doyle's humorlessness reveals him to be the worst kind of commentator on this or any blog...the incessant bore.

Doyle baby 13-4 from the Nationals. This one’s for you.

Meet the Mets, meet the Mets,
Step right up and greet the Mets.
Bring your kiddies, bring your wife,
Guaranteed to have the time of your life.
Because the Mets are really sockin' the ball,
Knockin' those home runs over the wall.
East side, West side, everybody's coming down,
To meet the M-E-T-S Mets, of New York town.
Oh, the butcher and the baker and the people on the streets,
Where did they go? To MEET THE METS!
Oh, they’re hollerin’ and cheerin’ and they’re jumpin’ in their seats,
Where did they go? To MEET THE METS!
All the fans are true to the orange and blue,
So hurry up and come on down -
‘cause we’ve got ourselves a ball club,
The Mets of New York town!
Give ‘em a yell! Give ‘em a hand!
And let ‘em know your rootin’ in the stands!
Come on and...
Meet the Mets, meet the Mets,
Step right up and greet the Mets.
Bring your kiddies, bring your wife,
Guaranteed to have the time of your life.
Because the Mets are really sockin' the ball,
Knockin' those home runs over the wall.
East side, West side, everybody's coming down,
To meet the M-E-T-S Mets,
Of New York town,
Of New York town.

(I don't want to gang on you, but dude 13-4 with the Phillies hot on your tail, ouch)

And by the way...Ricky Henderson as a coach....that's a disgraced lunatic if there ever was one

Here is some good news about Hillary, and about American voters:

She is going to win. I have put my money where my mouth is on Tradesports.

Revenant म्हणाले...

That's promising, but unsurprising.

Isn't Bush actually on pretty good terms with Bill Clinton? I seem to recall reading something about that a while back.

Brent म्हणाले...

Gedaylia,

I actually find myself again in the wierd position of defending Doyle - not that he necessarily benefits from it- but seriously, if you have read this blog consistently over the last year and a half, you would have to agree that at least some of Doyle's posts are well written and thought provoking. And surely you don't need to agree with someone to occasionally find some gold in their writing, do you?

If you require examples, please let me know, and I'll take some time to dig up some comments he made that made me pause to rethink for a second or two.

hdhouse is actually a writer from the heyday of "Your Show of Shows', Sid Ceasar's ultimate writing team (Woody Allen, Mel Brooks, Carl Reiner, Larry Gelbart, Neil Simon, hdhouse . . . ).

Brent म्हणाले...

Gedaliya,

(sorry for the misspelling . . .)

Gedaliya म्हणाले...

And surely you don't need to agree with someone to occasionally find some gold in their writing, do you?

No I do not, and as such I'll give him the benefit of the doubt (on your word) and apologize (to him) for my nastiness.

Doyle...perhaps I was hasty in my judgment. Please forgive my nastiness.

Well, sure. After all, sometimes bitterness and anger at conservatives is actually called for. :)
