Earth has not anything to show more fair: Dull would he be of soul who could pass by A sight so touching in its majesty: This City now doth, like a garment, wear The beauty of the morning; silent, bare, Ships, towers, domes, theatres, and temples lie Open unto the fields, and to the sky; All bright and glittering in the smokeless air. Never did sun more beautifully steep In his first splendour, valley, rock, or hill; Ne'er saw I, never felt, a calm so deep! The river glideth at his own sweet will: Dear God! the very houses seem asleep; And all that mighty heart is lying still!
-Wordsworth: Composed Upon Westminster Bridge, September 3, 1803
The quid-pro-quo of free housing for teachers: A tacit agreement that they keep mum about questionable practices the school might engage in.
Free housing is only one of the ways a school buys off its teaching staff.
Of course, that's one of the reasons Althouse has a Blog to begin with---better to stir the pot in the blog, rather than stir the pot with her employer.

very nice ..... thanks. haven't read that in a while. thank you.
Beautiful photos. Everythig looks so crisp and clean.
Beat's the snot out of the fog, doesn't it?
So here hath been dawning
Another blue day;
Think will thou let it
Slip useless away.
But the sterile forming
Of what looks like Plaza Cadman,
Makes not my heart a warming;
Gives thoughts of builder badman.
BTW, re your earlier post
"The generally accepted rule is pink for the boy and blue for the girl."
Your picture has both!
