just wait until january where there is a strong northwest wind....then vlog...if you think Madison was cold in the dead of winter there is nothing like miles of concrete, wind tunnels and good old new york cold to get the juices running.
I know. I've never been as cold as I was walking from the subway to the office building in lower Manhattan. And frankly, the wind rushing through the apartment last night was vortex-y. Cross-ventilation plus.
Those lower Manhattan walks were in the early 80s. Didn't have such great outerwear then. In Wisconsin, I used to walk to work even when it was 10 below, and I took care to dress properly. In New York, it's just a few blocks, so you just suffer through it.
Ann's photos are very beautiful! Maybe they can actually make what I consider an ugly cesspool attractive.
I know, I know..... many people love "The City" and will take exception to my perception of New York. I am willing to change with enough photographic persuasion. :-)
Original: I can see part of the Brooklyn Bridge, including one tower from one window. I'm looking more toward the harbor, with the Statue of Liberty in easy view.

O towers, towers in the sun,
New bathed in newborn light;
Behold, a new day has begun,
O meet it, shining bright!
very beautiful...I really look forward to NYC adventures...with vlogging, of course! Do a vlog with that skyline background!

Breathtakingly beautiful.
And this from a country mouse.
Now that I'm retired it is nice to see my old office from a different perspective. I used to work in the building in the right foreground.
Ann, someday could you take a photo from Manhattan back across to where you live so we can see it? Helps the imagination.
Can you see the Brooklyn Bridge? On your vlog there was a building to your north and I'm guessing it blocks that view.

Look on my Works ye Mighty, and despair!
Beautiful! I'm moving to the other side in NJ soon.

Original Mike: Yeah, and I bet a couple of stalkers would love Google Earth directions, too.
Joshua: the view from near the river in Union City, Weehawken, or Edgewater is one of the most magnificant.
i'm sooo homesick
I just realized I can see another part of the bridge from another window. So, two segments.
