"The last thing we need is two presidential candidates fighting with each other, instead of fighting for the change we need in America," Edwards said. "And, man, do we need change in the worst possible way."...That is: We're not kids. We're the adults!
An Obama spokeswoman disputed Edwards' comments about the Clinton-Obama spat.
"This is a substantive and important debate people want to hear about, whether we are going to turn the page on the Bush-Cheney foreign policy, which has damaged our national security and America's standing in the world," Leslie Miller said.

You two kids! Break it up!
I think what Edwards is trying to do here is play the grownup:

Edwards wants to break up fights? He's more like the rich kid whose lunch money the bullies take from him...
No it isn't Ron. It is about a debate over the misuse of our government for unclear purposes. It is important and needs to be addressed at the very highest level of discourse.
Should Clinton and Obama "get into it" and should they break it up as Edwards suggests? Yes and Yes. It should be kept toward solutions and they will get back on track.
I think you should wonder what the Republican candidates (sic!) are saying when they address the issue at all. Support our troops is a given and also a slogan. Slogans don't effect policy. Thoughtful debate effects policy.
I would think that after 7 years of hiding in the tall grass, the GOP would recognize it as such. It just seems odd to see it out in the open after this adminstrations penchant for secrecy and lying.
hdhouse is right, Ron. He's more like the rich kid who stands around and encourages a fight between two popular kids, waits until one of them gets a bloody nose, and then represents him in a 200 million dollar lawsuit against the other kid, the school and Coca-Cola (for making sugary beverages that caused the kids to be aggressive and fight in the first place).
Edwards: The last thing we need is two presidential candidates fighting with each other
Wrong. Clinton and Obama have significant foreign policy differences - Obama would meet with our enemies without condition, Hillary would not. I would like to hear more.
Edwards: instead of fighting for the change we need in America... And, man, do we need change in the worst possible way.
Typical Lefty. Assertion unsupported by fact or solution. Go back to primping in front of your mirror, Lightweight. Which reminds me:
hdhouse: I would think that after 7 years of hiding in the tall grass, the GOP would recognize it as such.
You guys have had 7 years to come up with an alternate foreign policy, what is it again? Please be specific.
"You guys have had 7 years to come up with an alternate foreign policy, what is it again? Please be specific."
Saying the word "change" a lot, apologizing to vaguely-defined groups of people, shaking hands with and smiling at Europeans.
ohhhh you mean 6 years of the republican controled congress not even having a hearing on the subject? turning off the electricy to rooms where demoncrats were holding hearings? not even giving them a room to meet in?...
just curious if that is why you support bush?
you are so void of facts and reality. just big dumb zeros.
hdhouse: [....]
Non-responsive. Strike one. Here's the pitch again:
hdhouse: I would think that after 7 years of hiding in the tall grass, the GOP would recognize it as such.
You guys have had 7 years to come up with an alternate foreign policy, what is it again? Please be specific.
Don't make me turn this campaign around!
not even giving them a room to meet in?
If there meetings were going to be anything like the farces of late, the republicans did this country a favor. But that's inane anyway, what sort of pansies are democrats that they just didn't hold meetings wherever they felt like it?
But, the question still remains--the democrats have had years to formulate a response to Bush and have yet to do anything that isn't utterly predictable. (Even cynical me was surprised at how quickly the democrats returned to form.)
Beautiful! That should be his bumper-sticker slogan!
EDWARDS: CHANGE IN THE WORST POSSIBLE WAY
Beautiful! That should be his bumper-sticker slogan! EDWARDS: CHANGE IN THE WORST POSSIBLE WAY
Darn, I wanted to point that out.
Bob Parkhurst: I want to see how a war is fought, so badly.
Captain Blackadder: Well, you've come to the right place, Bob. A war hasn't been fought this badly since Olaf the Hairy, high chief of all the vikings, accidentally ordered 80,000 battle helmets with the horns on the inside.
hdhouse, how much time would you like to answer? 7 more years?
Again: You guys have had 7 years to come up with an alternate foreign policy, what is it again? Please be specific.
