Stop me before I vlog again.

Don't ask me any questions. Otherwise, I'm going to do another vlog later this afternoon.

ADDED: You scamps! You asked me questions. And I vlogged again. Here.

You had mentioned in your previously blog that some have commented that you look like Julianne Moore in Boogie Nights.

She was hot in that video and quite a bit younger and thinner but I digress.

To go along with the Boogie Nights theme would you ever consider vlogging topless? Also, have you ever had a lesbian experience??

PeterP म्हणाले...

OK.

But you can ask me a question and I promise not to vlog.

elcurado म्हणाले...

Do you think you will always be a law prof or do you have a second career in mind? If you do have a second career in mind, what?

DirkDiggler म्हणाले...

Also, you mentioned in your last vlog money would be your choice between fame, etc.

You said you would have the freedom to do whatever you wanted.

My question is what that freedom would be? Would you leave teaching to pursue your "True Passion" and if so what is your true passion?

Meade म्हणाले...

Thanks for answering my question in last night's vlog.

I remember a couple of years ago when you commented that it was a major point of departure from the Left for you when self-styled liberals and Democrats closed ranks to support Bill Clinton even after it was obvious to all that he was a serial sexual harasser. In light of your recent "tipping towards" Hillary comments, I wonder if even you have now softened on your position toward the Clintons' clear betrayal of fundamental feminist principles.

The puritanical Mrs. Clinton wants no one to ever look at a woman as anything other than a man. In a fund-raising letter, her staff wrote:

Frankly, focusing on women’s bodies instead of their ideas is insulting. It’s insulting to every woman who has tried to be taken seriously in a business meeting. It’s insulting to our daughters — and to our sons — who are constantly pressured by the media to grow up too fast.

What a load of malarkey. She is married to a lecherous creep who serially harassed women throughout 20+ years of holding public office.

Mrs. Clinton was silent when Kathleen Willey brought true charges of sexual harassment by her husband in the White House.

Mrs. Clinton was silent when Paula Jones brought true charges of sexual harassment by her husband when he was governor.

Mrs. Clinton was silent when Monica Lewinsky testified to true charges of sexual harassment by her husband in the White House.

Mrs. Clinton falsely accused Gennifer Flowers of lying about her affair with Gov. Clinton.

Anyone who wants to relive the denegration of women by Bill Clinton is welcome to do so.

Above all, Mrs. Clinton was silent when James Carville denigrated every woman in the country when he said: “Drag $100 bills through trailer parks, there’s no telling what you’ll find.”

Long before that, Mrs. Clinton laughed when her husband’s earlier campaign manager referred to tehse affairs as “bimbo eruptions.”

And now she wants to be taken serious as a candidate for the nation’s highest office?

One of the things I’ve noticed here at Althouse is that the nastier commenters are also the dumber commenters.

Mr. AJD is an example.

He doesn’t even know what it means to “cry wolf.”

That’s no big deal, really. There are lots of things I don’t know. But there’s something especially stupid about trying to hurt someone else with words and not knowing you don’t know what they mean.

I’m a softie, AJD. I’m kind to animals, and I feel sorry for you, so here you go. Link. See if you can buy a copy to put on your coffee table. It’s hardbound so it’ll impress your friends.

One of the things I’ve noticed here at Althouse is that the nastier commenters are also the dumber commenters.

Thats to be expected. Dumb commenters lack the intelligence to properly argue their position on issues, so all they have left is nastiness. Its a pattern of some of the longer threads: someone like Simon will counter a false argument with fact and logic, and as the dumb commenters get more frustrated, they devolve into OT rants and personal attacks.

Don't ask me any questions.

I'd be curious to hear your definition of "high crimes and misdemeanors". Also, why you think "perjury" was removed from the original while "bribery" was kept.

In October, 2005, you posted this: Female autonomy: Does it frighten you?

In th ecomments thread, I tried to see if anyone was comfortable with the flip side of the equation. That is, children born to single men who did not want their children to have a female parent. Of course, it's not my blog, and it's not fair for me to expect to steer the discussion this way or that, but only one poster addressed that topic.

Well, now a court has.

On May 16th, a Maryland State Court of Appeals decision determined that children born to surrogate mothers—with whom they have no genetic connection—can be legally motherless.

Quoted passage is from this source, a blog about which I know nothing. That is, I do not know if and/or what agenda american.com is pushing.

For what it's worth, I am not pushing a "father's rights" agenda, or an anti-same-sex parenting agenda. I just knew this was coming.

Comments?

It is sad to watch a formerly great university trying to extract the most possible dollars from the students.

According to the N Y Times “Starting this fall, juniors and seniors pursuing an undergraduate major in the business school at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, will pay $500 more each semester than classmates.”
Why does a degree from a vocational school have more value than a degree in English, Philosophy, or Political Science ?
I suppose, according to Wisconsin, because people are willing to pay for it.

Would you ever consider going on a date when one of your readers/commenters?

Would you ever consider running for office?

Who's your favorite editorial writer? My sense from the most quotes is Maureen Dowd. You would like to be her friend wouldn't you?

If you could live anywhere for a year where? Other than NYC.

Place you would like to travel/visit that you haven't been to before.

Where in the US have you visited that you liked/enjoyed the most and said, I could live here? How about least?

When are you happiest?

Do you drink anything other than wine? Do you like any type of other alcohol? Vodka? etc.

If you could have a dinner with one person dead or living who would it be and why?

What are you currently listening to on Ipod or CD?

If you could change one thing about yourself either physically or mentally what would it be?

What quality to you like least and best in another person?

What's your favorite curse word?

John Kindley म्हणाले...

I think Meade asked a very reasonable question that I hope you'll answer in light of the fact that you've indicated a serious willingness to vote for Hillary Clinton. On top of all the abuses by Bill that she cites was the very credible accusation of actual rape (by a woman whose name currently escapes me). Hillary chose to marry this man, to stay married to him despite all these abuses, and made excuses for him and dismissed the charges as right-wing attacks for as long as she could. Surely this says something about her? And we can't forget that if she is elected Bill will surely have an even more prominent role as First Lady than Hillary did. Surely all of this would have some significance for who you support in the election, in light of your earlier prounounced taking to task of the "feminist" left for turning a blind eye to Bill's abuses for the sake of political expediency? Hillary, likewise, has long turned a blind eye to the same thing, and for the sake of the same thing.

Would you pick where you left off yesterday, before you called time out? It would be a thrill to hear my question repeated. Sort of like a first time being on television or tape recorded.

By the way, the question was, "Are you domestic?"

Thank you.

John Kindley म्हणाले...

During your fight with Reason magazine, you said at one point that you were interested in Reason, suggesting you might have some sympathy with libertarian ideals (though the whole debacle was prefaced by your saying some uncomplimentary and one-sided things about libertarians in general, which I took to be a likely visceral rather than intellectual reaction to your encounter with a certain stripe of libertarian at the Liberty Fund conference).

We know your emphasis and thoughts is probably contrary to that of many self-styled libertarians (though Randy Barnett recently presented a more ecumenical view about what is permissible for a consistent libertarian to believe about pre-emptive war in a hotly disputed op-ed). We know that you believe that government should stay out of legislating morality (well, at least with regard to abortion), which comports with libertarianism.

How about economically? Specifically, I think the government contributes to higher prices for medical services and legal services by going along with the medical and legal professions special interest in limiting access to the profession and thereby creating higher prices. I also think it is absolutely outrageous that the government takes a third or more of the incomes of middle-class citizens. (I would classify myself as a left libertarian or geolibertarian.) What do you think of that?

I realize after writing this lengthy question that it's length isn't very conducive to being answered in a vlog. Therefore, I'd just ask what if anything about libertarianism do you find appealing and/or true?

John Kindley म्हणाले...

"We know your emphasis and thoughts . . ."

I.e. about national security and what is permissible for the sake of national security.

Wouldn't nuking the planet be a few bridges to the 21st Century too far, Bissage?

I could see an emergency executive order banning onion rings though.

Followed by carrot sticks.

Okay maybe not an outright ban; maybe just registration. Of all carrot sticks. Onion rings would require a conceal/carry permit. Carrot sticks -- license, registration, inspection, tags.

Be some toughness you'd meme fer sure, boy!

Meade, I'm a political idiot. I admit it, free and clear.

So, I've already resigned myself to the inevitability of a Hillary! presidency.

But I'm a selfish man, and you are my friend, so I act in good faith when I pray to God that there will be global catastrophes to keep her busy.

That way, she won't have the time to meddle in our gardens.
