I would really love bees if they didn't hurt so much.

No LOLBees style captioning?

"I'M On UR Bloom Gettin' Mah Pollenz!!!!"

(Bees just aren't cute, this picture's in trouble, then)

And I'm going to pretend that this photo thread is a semi-open thread and go off topic.

What's wrong with these people?

Could this be the best Althouse photo yet?

I think so.

You should publish a book!

(1) bill, I enjoyed the heck out of that. Thanks!

(2) Anybody remember Bizzy Buzz Buzz?

(3) No YouTube YouTube video video. Drat! Drat!

Half a bee, philosophically, must ipso-fact half not be.

But half the bee has got to be, vis-a-vis its entity. You see?

But can a bee be said to be or not to be an entire bee, when half the bee is not a bee, due to some ancient injury?

Maxine Weiss म्हणाले...

I'm really beginning to hate nature, what with being forced to view these endless, excessive photos and all.

J. Cricket म्हणाले...

Maxine, don't worry! These aren't really "nature" photos!!

They are all tweaked to death--kinda like Annie's hair. God knows the natural state of that mess. And God knows what these flowers actually look like after A-House changes the colors and contrast and everything else that an actual nature photographer would never do.

Bissage म्हणाले...

The following should be read using a David Attenborough voice:

And, . . ., here, . . ., we see, . . ., let me just move these branches aside, . . ., if you look closely, . . ., ah, yes, . . ., there it is, . . ., you’ll see a Zen Garden absolutely brimming with the undomesticated, feral variety of the common, household AJD.

Stand back, though, . . ., don't get too close, . . ., for it is easily startled and prone to unpredictable, flailing bouts of inane, mindless hostility, . . ., that, . . ., while harmless to its intended victim, . . ., leave the AJD itself, . . ., and its surroundings, . . ., badly soiled with fecal matter and in need of a thorough cleansing.

Meade म्हणाले...

AJD, Those voices you hear, the ones that God knows come from inside your head... do they ever mention to you what an actual moronic pussy you are?

Peter Hoh म्हणाले...

AJD, you really think that the photos in National Geographic are not subject to any tweaking?

reader_iam म्हणाले...

Forced? No. No one's being forced.

And thank goodness: after, especially, Meade's last comment and, to a lesser extent AJD's, it's good to know one always has a choice as to what one pays attention to on the web.

Maxine Weiss म्हणाले...

Actually one is being forced, if they click on the Althouse Blog when those pictures are at the top of the blog. You can't look away---that's force. You can ignore a lot of things, but in-your-face nature isn't one of 'em.

Kind of like a burning cross----you simply can't look away.

A fair analogy, I think.

Dramatic, but fair.

Peace, Maxine

MadisonMan म्हणाले...

It's true. I am forcing Maxine to look at these pictures.

Do not look away. Walk towards the beautiful flowers. Do not resist. Do not resist.

अनामित म्हणाले...

This picture, which is simply too stunning for words, looks absolutely fantastic on a large field of black.

I pasted it into an email and set the background to black.

I could stare at it all day.

Almost makes me want to be a bee.

Judith Brodhead म्हणाले...

This flower is so beautifully symmetrical - and the color is great. I wore a dress to a wedding this weekend just this color.
