Today was an incredibly busy day, beginning with that 8 a.m. "Week in Review." Around 1, I went in to the law school to record an episode of BloggingheadsTV, and I had a nice encounter with an individual who was turning a humble whiteboard into a work of art:
My questions -- are you a pointillist? and do you like Seurat? -- did not get much of an answer, but nonetheless... who will dare erase the whiteboard?
So... on to the Bloggingheads. It's not up yet. But I'll just tantalize you with my notes, which I drew on during the hour+ that we recorded:

I like the first one.
I like your drawings too, Ann Althouse. Is it just a coincidence that you draw very much like Tom Wolfe? Is it a generational thing?
It could have been, accurately, called a Seurat-matrix printer rather than a dot-matrix printer, but no matter.
I wouldn't think it the style of choice for impromptu graffiti artists, for obvious reasons.
Ooo...I hope it was with Annie Gottlieb again.
Yes, it's with Annie Gottlieb. You can see what our planned topics were. It's waaaaay splayed out from that. Just wait!
I was thinking the same thing, tim. Why would a graffiti artist use pointillism? LOL I don't think that I could clear the whiteboard, either. I would hope for him to come back and finish what he started and see what develops.
And why does it seem so brave to me to reveal personal doodles on notes? Don't know why, but I am always sure to tightly wad mine up or even shred them even though there is never anything particularly embarrassing in them.

I take back everything I've ever said about Althouse. Compared to this guy, Althouse isn't narcisisstic, overly self-referential, or vain. And, apparently it's safe to do vlogs from the car. If he can do it whilst on the freeway, then anybody can.
Love that, it reminds me of a the pixels in one of those 3D magazine issues. Or one of those Magic Eye things--I keep waiting for the image to appear.
Thanks, Maxine. That was pretty funny. The computer on the passenger seat approach really is preferable. Maybe I should try that on my drive to Delavan today.
This “individual” you met. You caught him all alone creating a masterpiece on a marker board in a school.
Any chance he’s a troubled prodigy from the wrong side of town working as a janitor? Would a few therapy sessions with Robin Williams encourage him to confront the demons of his past so he can learn to love and build a bright new future?
Nah, didn’t think so.
Thanks for the doodles, Ann. They made me chuckle. And they suggest you may have dabbled in art before choosing law as a career?
As for the whiteboard, it looks like it was made to viewed with X-ray specs...
That Ross fellow is a high-talker. oh my GAWD! [squeaks].
Maybe he was so uncommunicative because he had no idea who Seurat was and no clue what pointillism is. Maybe he just thought you were sarcasticly busting him for wasting the schools materials and his time.
Lee: It wasn't like that at all. It was a very young (female) child and a pleasant conversation.
