Napoleon’s penis, Lincoln’s blood-stained collar, Hermann Göring’s cyanide ampoule.
The same guy owned all three things. Don't worry. He died. (There's a really nice, funny illustration at the link.)

Interesting Freudian tie in. I wonder what Herr Doktor would say about the plaster casters? I am surprised that the author did not mention them as female collectors. The parallel seems to fit.

Pictures of Rasputin's penis were on Yahoo!'s list of most emailed photos a couple of years ago, I had to look at the damned thing every morning when I went to read the news on My Yahoo! If you haven't seen it before, just Google it. Rasputin could've gotten a job as a porn star, is all I'm sayin'.
Just a fabulous first line for the article.
if this person collected these three items....can anyone speculate as to what the next item was in his collection?
Is anyone else getting big gray blocks blocking the text and pictures of Anne's posts? I'm using firefox. Is it just me?
Alexander: It's not happening to me on Safari or Firefox and no one else has brought that up. Are other Blogspot blogs doing this?
one of my PCs has firefox and i've seen the effect before i defrag....i always took it as a sign of Ann thinking outside the grey box.
How Herman Goring Poisoned Himself
His last night alive at asked for a cigarratte and a glass of water at lights out. These were provided. He had some water and smoked soem of the cigarette. When he was sure the guards had settled in for the night, he dropped the cigarette in the water and went to sleep himself.
As he slept the cigarette soaked, releasing nicotine into the water, suffusing it with the poison. He woke up early in the morning and drank some of the nicotine infused water. Sometime before the guards came for his scheduled execution by hanging he died of nicotine poisoning.
Burning tobacco doesn't delivery anywhere near all the nicotine the tobacco has. But soak the leaves in water and you'll get nearly all of it. And tobacco leaves have a lot more nicotine than what get's listed on the box. Really, what you see listed is merely what the testing machines detect from the smoke as the tobacco burns. People have died from drinking water or another liquid a cigarette has been soaking in.
In other words, that cyanide capsule is fake. Herman Goring did poison himself, but it was nicotine not cyanide. I have my doubts about the other items as well.
How would one display Napoleon's penis? Would you display it like a head mount of a jackalope? Would it be at attention? Or, would one be so inclined to have a little fun, such as how Napolean used to pose with his hand inside of his jacket, would you have part of the penis sticking into a jacket?
