A throbbing artery gave Warren Jeffs away!

That and the salad eating.

Obviously great police work. But eating a salad probably was a dead giveaway. Maybe he was using Big House Dressing.

It will not likely be the last time his artery throbs.

- a little luck and an experienced cop and there'll be a few less child brides in the world. I know he needed to be clapped in irons but why did he make the villain's top 10 list? I would think some terrorists and bad-to-the-bone, armed felons would get that honor. I mean I would have rather encountered him in an alley than some of the guys (and gals) out there...

I bet that trooper spends a lot of time playing poker. The throbbing artery is a classic tell!

Icepick-
He was picked up in Vegas, so I wouldn't put it past him.

Good police work my foot. Salad-eating is an age-old stereotype of the scared polygamist. The man practically turned himself in.

that BTW was profiling. I don't hear many complaints from the ACLU yet.

Do polygamists and pedophiles look creepy before becoming polygamists and pedophiles or is it a psychosomatic thing?

From another article: Jeffs also offered a contact lens receipt from Florida with the name John Findley as identification, the trooper said.

How stupid is that? Hi, I have this receipt with a name on it, and Yes Sir that's really me! Scrawled on the bottom was and I'm 21. You can use that to get into bars in Madison. Honest!

MadisonMan... you'd be surprised (or maybe you wouldn't, who knows?) how easy it is for a cop to get inside a car or build PC.

Doing ride-alongs with State HP in Texas was an eye-opener in the "tells" and ease of consent, etc. Cars doing wheelies there's so much dope in the trunk driving 95 mph through TEXAS with CALIFORNIA plates; no seat belts, passenger sleeping in the backseat on top of all their luggage, etc.... Cars rented in someone else's name, driving from CA through TX until drivers switch in WY or someplace, etc.

It's amazing and depressing that clearance rates aren't higher.
