As always, great photography on this blog. I've beem thru the Badlands many times but have never stuck around long enough to really feel them out. They're intriguing but they sure aren't the Black Hills.
Not that long ago, geologically speaking, that was all muck on the floor of an ocean.
Kinda makes you think, that so many tens of millions of years are spent accreting this crap, only so it can be eroded again. It seems futile sad, until you realize that the Earth really has nothing better to do.
Ruth Anne: "badlands of Wyoming"... it's still the wrong damned state!
And let me add that I like Springsteen better in writing. The words are nicely compressed and interesting. I just don't like the band much and I don't enjoy listening to his singing style. It's too earnest and emotional. I'm not saying it's not good. It just doesn't affect me the way he means for it to.

Three cheers for global warming.
Not that long ago (geologically speaking) all that was under glaciers.

Nature is very detail-oriented.
No. Why should I listen to "Nebraska" in South Dakota? Anyway, I've never cared about Bruce Springsteen, except maybe for a couple months in 1985.
Lovely photos. :)
