FoxNews ran a report yesterday about one candidate walking through the streets of Bagdhad campaigning with his 20+ body guards. Despite all the body guards, he was still basically right next to all the people shaking their hands telling them he would fight for better government, etc...
It was a great report to see.
It makes you wonder how the MSM will report on Iraq when it is clear that Democracy has worked and that Iraq is clearly better off? Will MSM try to deny that Iraq is better off...(i.e., they will use our standard of living as a bench mark) will they say that it would have happened anyways without the toppling of Saddam and subsequent occupation (thats the argument they make for the cold war), will they say it wasn't worth it (not worth the american military deaths)... will they say that freedom in Iraq is an accident because Bush only went in for WMD and not to free Iraqis (the current argument is that Bush lied about WMD being the reason to invade)...
It is all fun speculation.
I know that Sean Penn is tough and all, but Hamed Al-Nasseri ("I'm voting to dare these militias") sounds tougher.
That guy rules
A'ash al Iraq!
It's strange, but I feel more kinship with these brave and passionate Iraqis than I do with Europeans.
My other favorite Iraqi is named Betty...enjoy!
