The shadowing in the background really enhances the color of the wine in the glass. That, combined with the subtle tilt of the glass, almost rivets the viewer's attention to it, yet discreetly prompts the mind to ponder the mood of the dinner table, the topics of conversation, the nature of the participants and the course of food yet to come or having been consumed. The mind is not forced to contemplate the participants, not so much because of the absence of them, other than the arms, but by the nature of the glass and shadows. The soft ambience is alluring. Is it the artist or the lawyer that brings out such subtle nuance??
Only time I ever drank liquor out of a box like that was when my buddy and I were defending America's honor by outdrinking a pair of Koreans who said Americans couldn't keep up with them. The boxes were full of Shoju- kind of like sake... Were you drinking thaT?

Love the juice box.

The flowers evoke both satisfaction and a bit of melancholy - must one mood always prevail? The sunlight forces us to choose.
Goesh, you're hurting my not-yet-caffeinated brain.
Look deeply into the tablescapes, for, lo, the mysteries of life and death are contained therein.
Look closely at the juice box: what kind of juice is it? Note that there were no children present in the house that evening.

Beautiful! Very Van Gogh-ish.
Whilst in Mexico City, I also took pics of all our tables!
