"We really slobbered over the old witch."

That was Richard Nixon's statement after meeting Indira Gandhi in 1971 -- according to recently released documents. And the charming Henry Kissinger chimed in: "The Indians are bastards anyway."

Dick could be plain spoken, that's for sure.

I don't want to be around when it's revealed that Nixon took a leak on a copy of the Bhagavad-gita.

Perhaps Nixon became momentarily confused when he was referring to Indara, thinking instead, that he was talking about Endora, Sam's mother from Bewitched.

lol @ Tim's comment. On a more serious note- I've never heard anything good about Henry Kissinger. EVER. Was he just a complete sumbitch or is he being remembered unfairly?

You know, there is something that lurks deep in all of us that likes to defy authority figures in this manner. Take Rheinquist's clerks for instance. You know darn well that as his senility advances they are, in chambers of course, putting little sticky notes on his back that read, "kick me" - well, why wouldn't they? They are having to remind him to zip his pants after he urinates and prompting him to wipe his mouth while dining. Call it having a bit of sport or simple defiance, it doesn't matter to me, it's all the same.

If it were true, we wouldn't have heard it.
