And why wouldn’t they? The Brewers are America’s team!

So glad to hear the Brewers love the national anthem and are pumped and ready to play.
They are in contrast to that turd LeBron James who was practicing his golf swing during the anthem. Maybe he’s still pissed he got called out by Michael Jordan on X about who was the GOAT!
Thank you Michael!

The claim that Michael Jordan called someone out on X (formerly Twitter) about the GOAT (Greatest of All Time) debate is false, stemming from viral fake social media posts

Boston College athletic heroes are the best collegiate athletic heroes. Art Donovan, Wells Crowther, Pete Frates, and now Sal Frelimo.

Overall, my favorite verse is the fourth, which begins "Oh, thus be ever, when free men shall stand; Between their loved homes, and the war's desolation."

And often when I sing the anthem I change the last wordsa a bit "... land of the Free, all because of the Brave."

If you only publicly profess to love your country when your alleged team is winning, do you really love your country?

How long have you lived in Madison again? Lol

I don’t understand why both basketball leagues are so intent on letting snot nosed athletes crap on our traditions and the National Anthem especially, knowing audiences and fans have so many other options.

The Brewers show how easy it is to be normal, in contrast to those other leagues. The World Series will be fun.

Liking or pretending to like the anthem ritual is something that needs to be done for the fans. The players are there because it is a business, and it's all about winning the audience.

The woke left a-holes on the WMBA - (subsidized basketball) Run away when the National Anthem is played. Like woke left whiny babies. eeek cooties!

Also - the WMBA Coach ( a woke leftist bitch, in my estimation) - proudly wears her "I support trans kids" shirt. but anyone wearing an "XX XY" shirt - is tossed out by the leftwing police.

Defund the police isn't just about the pro-crime mob democrats and their love of crime, it about their sick plan to refill the ranks with their loyal leftist obedient Nazis.

Go Brewers!

“ Liking or pretending to like the anthem ritual is something that needs to be done for the fans. The players are there because it is a business, and it's all about winning the audience.”

So, on the other hand, when a team dislikes or acts like they dislike the anthem, they also are just trying win the audience, because their market dislikes the anthem? Somehow I sense a difference, that it is a personal dislike by the team members.

Dave Begley বলেছেন...

Disagree with Ann.

Yes, it is a business and they are paid a fortune but getting into the World Series is different. Way different.

Not that long ago, all those guys were playing Little League or high school baseball. They've now reached the pinnacle. They are really living the dream.

And to really understand America, you need to learn about baseball and its rules. The one constant through the years has been baseball. Not football. Not basketball.

"America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It's been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt, and erased again. But baseball has marked the time."

The Braves left Milwaukee. The Brewers switched leagues. Different stadiums. Same game. Same anthem.

Aggie বলেছেন...

There are fewer wrong things about loving your national anthem, then there are about hating it.

America was a baseball country, then a football country. Will it become a basketball country next, or just a video game country?

If they don't like the USA they should leave.

The reason people boycott the anthem is because they are thug Democrat pieces of shit like the racist WNBA players who want to take those freedoms away from other people.

If you are protesting the anthem because you lost elections and you can't beat up people who disagree with you and take their stuff you don't belong here. GTFO.

You are degenerating into troll idiot territory with snark like this.

This is the type of reasoning that found abortion in the 4th amendment. Shallow and emotions based.

There are far more significant and meaningful reasons why everyone in the country should stand for the national anthem. The United States is founded on unique principles. These principles built the country.

1. The foundation has a Protestant Christian Objective moral framework. An established Objective moral framework allowed the country to enshrine equal protection in our courts as a virtue.

2. Equal protection means a colorblind and egalitarian system. All of the people who are objecting to the anthem are racist pieces of shit.

3. An accepted shared history and honor to the previous builders and soldiers.

There are more reasons and these ones get deeper. The people who are protesting the anthem are attacking the foundational principles of our nation constantly. It has nothing to do with your cynical and shallow comment.

Win or lose, Milwaukee will be burned to the ground in celebration.

rhhardin বলেছেন...

To be a tradition, something must be both an imposition and a choice. The choice part is no longer working, leaving the imposition.

rhhardin বলেছেন...

It needn't be done for all the fans, just the self-appointed patriots. There's a secondary wave online with the influencers and those who go along because the players vaguely had it coming.

Horseshit.

Athletes disrespecting the National Anthem at their place of employment - in front of a captive audience who PAID to watch said athletes perform, not protest - has nothing to do with freedom of speech.
