We're saving that name for Mars.
Well, it's not really new, and it's not really Mexico, so, why not!
Why 19th century America stayed with "New Mexico" instead of trying to de-Mexicanize or Americanize the name is an interesting question. Suggestions included Montezuma, Acoma, Jefferson, Lincoln, Salado and Sierra. Apparently, they couldn't just call it Jefferson or Lincoln or Madison or Polk or Carson or Fremont: the Spanish heritage was too strong.
I'm partial to Nuevo Tejas myself.

And you support the election fraud that gave the corrupt, dementia addled Biden the Presidency for four years, with some 10 million or do fraudulent votes. Who helped create the mess in Ukraine, gave away many billions of dollars in arms to the Taliban, allowed ten million or more illegals to flock here unvalidated, unchecked, into this country, bringing back diseases eradicated in this country many decades ago. Many of them the worst of the worst - murderers, rapists, embezzlers, etc. meanwhile his supporters stole hundreds of billions dollars, indicted his predecessor multiple times for imaginary crimes, then pardoned all of those involved.
Those are some of the many things that we can blame on the President you put in with illegal votes. Likely the worst President of the last century. Maybe the most corrupt one too.

Why not change it to Baja Colorado? That' way we're keeping our state's names in the family, so to speak, rather than making reference to potentially meddlesome neighbors. Those Azatlan 'reconquista' idiots won't be able to capitalize on the reference anymore.

“Only a dozen or so” is misleading. The reported U.S. toll is 18 service members killed and more than 750 wounded. And counting only deaths that occurred inside Iran conveniently excludes American casualties elsewhere in the conflict.

Sure, and I wish that sometimes too, but It's so much less important than everything else, and yet it's given the same outrage as a major policy mistake. Remember, people want him removed from office for walking carefully down a ramp or picking up a glass with two hands, or making a joke. Remember Reagan joking about starting a nuclear war with Russia on a hot mic? I like my Presidents with a sense of humor. I like most things with a sense of humor. We can handle it.
In recent years, roughly 800–1,000 U.S. active-duty service members DIE each year from non-combat (non-hostile) causes.
In a typical year, on the order of half a million to well over a million service members are injured.
