"Ken Paxton, you might not like the way he dresses, and I say this, it's so insulting to him, but I might as well say it."
"You might not like the way he looks. You might not love his look.... But he was the best Attorney General in the country, perhaps... and that speaks a lot louder than the suit he’s wearing that doesn’t look so great. Or anything frankly."

When the GOP sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing thieves. They’re bringing crime. They’re pedo protectors. And some, I assume, are good people."
At least the GOP is consistent in their ability to produce politicians that protect pedophiles.
Stealing a $1000 pen is ALSO a mark of good morals.

Why do liberals love Larry David and hate Trump?
I don't believe the polls in Texas.
One of the big sampling errors that I'm hearing about is having too many college-indoctrinated people in your poll, and not enough people who avoid college.
There's a huge party divide on this. So if you're over-sampling college-indoctrinated voters, your poll is going to suck.
I prefer the term "college-indoctrinated" to "college-educated" because the college-indoctrinated seem to believe so many ridiculous things. And the HR departments at our elite universities are insane and hard-left.
In particular the rise of anti-Semitism among our youth is an indictment of our universities.
Trump is supporting a fellow bag-suiter. With Trump, it's performative: remember his full Gordon Gekko look in the 80s? He's got zillions and a fashion-model wife. He could have a brand new tailored suit from the cover of GQ each day if he wanted. But he chooses to dress like the owner-operator of a Queens family business (which he used to be), in a comfy blue suit, Florsheims, and a limited necktie rotation. Why? Because it reminds the MAGA voter of good bosses they had, or wished they had. Paxton may be doing the same thing, not wanting to be too slick looking.
Of course, Trump, like Dolly z''l, spends a lot of money to look that cheap! (other than the Florsheims, of course) CC, JSM

Paxton sounds like the perfect candidate.
If I were the Democrats, I wouldn't get my hopes up in Texas. As long as there is a complete crackpot to vote for, they will do it in droves.
